Photoshop cs6 not working

I have a macbook pro, running yosemite and my photoshop was working. Today I tried to open and it kept hanging up and becoming unresponsive. I tried to reinstall and update and it still is not working.
I cannot think of anything new or different that I have done with computer. I also opened illustrated and indesign without any problems.It is a creative suite design and web premium bought about 2 years ago as a student.I don't know what else to try. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just an FYI for you and anyone else who reads this: holding the Shift key as you start Photoshop will give you the option to skip loading third party plugins.

Photoshop CS6 Not Working with OS Mavericks

I can't get photoshop cs6 to behave properly now that I've upgraded to OS Mavericks. For that matter - I can't get InDesign or Illustrator CS6 to behave properly either.
When I use the File Open, File Save, and File Save As commands I immediately get the pinwheel that spins without end. It doesn't matter if I use a shortcut key or a the pull-down menu. I never get to a dialogue box. The pinwheel immediately appears after "Comm + O."
I've searched the forums and can't find a solution that works.
I've tried the following:
Removed all copies of CS5.1, CS5.5, and CS6. Reinstalled all CS6 apps.
Updated all CS6 apps to the latest version
Verified that I'm running the latest approved Apple Java from Apple
Updated my Wacom Drivers
Performed a repair permissions through Disk Utility
Unchecked "Displays have separate spaces" in Mission Control
Rebooted several times
Nothing has worked. Any ideas?
I'm considering using Time Machine and and reverting my OS.
FYI - 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro

You (or TimeMachine) didn't restore all the files correctly, and it is crashing because the library cannot be loaded.
Your best bet is to reinstall Photoshop, and let Apple know that TimeMachine is not restoring applications/libraries/frameworks correctly.

Edit in Photoshop CS6 not working

I recently upgraded to lightroom 5 and CS6 and for some reason I can no longer us the "edit in CS6" option. Lightroom will go as far as to open photoshop, but won't open the image which I have set to open as an 8bit PSD sRGB. Any ideas?

Ah, OK so I assume the admin account works, the other doesn't? Have to say I'm not savvy enough to understand what Photoshop/LR need in terms of items in the main account to make this all work. I might have to try that test on this end as I have two accounts too. I use the 2nd for trouble shooting. I suspect the primary account has something, somewhere in the user Library installed by Adobe that is accessed where it might not be in account #2.
If one account works, the other doesn't, we have to pinpoint what files are missing from the account that doesn't work.

Photoshop CS6 not working on new pc

I bought a new laptop and have installed my Photoshop CS6 on it, but it won't work.
I cannot open the old PSD files or even a photo or new blank page.

Just purchased since my old laptop was struggling to run Photoshop.
I downloaded my CS6 extended version directly from my Adobe page.
Photoshop opens and looks all good, but when I try to open an existing PSD file, Jpeg or start a new one - nothing happens at all
It has also started to 'not respond' as per task manager - at first it allowed me to keep trying to open things with nothing happening, now it is freezing and I have to close via task manager.
It even froze when I tried to open preferences.
I am currently waiting for a reinstall to complete
I have successfully installed Lightroom with no issues (just tried it, to make sure, and all ok)

Photoshop CS6 not working right

Issues are happening on a mac. using photoshop CS6. opening files from bridge CS6, trying to edit the photos and the photos sometimes goes black or scrambled. recently started to happen every now and then and now it's every time. I have uninstalled photo shop and reinstalled. I do believe that I have everything updated.

I don't ever recall anything being pre-highlighted in the list on any version using Windows, and I always remember that under most conditions you see only a list of layers under the click point - though when masks are involved with pixel layers Photoshop tends to think a layer covers the entire canvas, so it gets listed. Groups can complicate things some too.
It may be that given the way Windows controls work, highlighting something the mouse is not actually hovering over is simply impossible, or so egregiously non-standard that it would just confuse Windows users. I think it would confuse me if I saw it.
It's good practice to just name your layers appropriately so that you can easily find them in whatever list you're looking at.

When I was running Mavericks on my Macbook pro 15" Intel i7,everything seemed to be working completely fine. Now when I try to run Photoshop CS6 on Yosemite, the program keeps on crashing and giving me an error. Please help!

Sometimes the Yosemite upgrade breaks the install. You may have to uninstall and reinstall CS6, and do so as an administrator.

Are you seeing this problem since first launch of PSE13 after installation or recently?
Please try:
Keep Ctrl + Alt + Shift keys pressed while launching PSE13 Editor and click OK on the dialog that comes next.

I open a file in CR, and modify the exposition. After that, I modify the clarity: immediatly, the exposition goes back as it was before the modification ...
After the work on CR, I finish the file and go back to bridge: the image is not modified ! But if I dobble click on the same image in bridge, the file is opening in CR with the modifications: so this modifications are note visble on bridge ...
Some body can help me ?
I work with the last version of Br and Ps CS6.

D700 first supported in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 5.1 (CS6 ships with ACR 7.0)
D7100 first supported in ACR 7.4
You probably just need to update Camera Raw in CS6 via Help > Updates.
Confirm which ACR version you have installed via Help (Win) or Photoshop (Mac) > About Plug-In > Camera Raw.

Help! Upgrade Fireworks CS5 (from Creative Suite 5 Web Premium) to Fireworks CS6 not working!

Today I bought and downloaded Fireworks CS6 from the Adobe webshop as an update for my Fireworks CS5 that was included in my Creative Suite 5 Web Premium-set.
But during the installation of Fireworks CS6 the serial number of my Creative Suite 5 Web Premium - needed for the installer to verify that I could 'legaly' upgrade - was not accepted! So now I can use Fireworks CS6 only as a try-out-version...
What can I do? If Creative Suite 5 Web Premium isn't the right upgrade-version: how can I get my money back? Or is there another solution?

Thanks for the reply. but how do I manually weed out the install entries in my registry? could you please guide me with the steps? This http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html is not working I am afraid. I understand that I need to uninstall the creative suite before I run CS cleaner. But as I explained in my first question, the uninstallation is not working at all. Even I could uninstall the software, I am afraid that I may get into trouble if installatin is not working. All I want is that my photoshop error " save for web devices " which was grayed out should work as normal. This error happened after I moved the plug-ins.
