Photoshop CS6 / Scanner Software

We are using Photoshop CS6 (Windows 8, 64 Bit) + Epson Perfection 3200 Scanner.
Please, can you recommend a scanning Software for our work? Probably there is a software on the market with a Photoshop plug in?

Since installing Photoshop CS6, scanner cannot be launched via Photoshop Elements 8

I have recently installed Photoshop CS6. I already had Photoshop Elements 8 on my PC. Before installing CS6, I could quite happily scan photos etc via my scanner, from within Elements 8, but now when I go 'File > Get Photos and Videos > From Scanner' within Elements 8 (with Photoshop CS6 not open at the time, incidentally), I get a message saying 'Software for this device could not be launched. The device is not connected or is busy'. I would like to be able to scan from either Photoshop applications. What is the problem here?

Thanks Sudarshan Thiagarajan, Hudechrome and Curt Y. The printer/scanner/copier is an old Brother DCP-115C. I do have the latest driver installed. Due to its age, Brother stopped updating the driver ages ago.
Unless I'm missing something, why would anyone suspect the driver being at fault, anyway? The scanner worked fine from within Elements 8 - until I installed Photoshop CS6, from which point it continues to scan fine from within CS6, using either the WIA or the TWAIN systems (I needed to download the TWAIN plug-in for CS6 - it is no longer contained on Photoshop CS6's installation disc), but I can no longer scan from within Elements 8 anymore.
I'm just wondering, is one particular Photoshop application set as the 'default' application for the scanner (and, since CS6 was installed, this has taken precedence over Elements 8), or are you supposed to be able to use the scanner from within more than one Photoshop application on your PC system, at any one time, provided, of course, you have only one Photoshop application open? I expect it is the latter, as I am able to print from either Photoshop application still. As this is the case, I assume this means you should be able to scan from either Photoshop application also.

Photoshop CS6 genuine software verification failure

I purchased a disk copy (from a genuine retailer) of Photoshop CS6 Extended (educational version) which always freezes during installation (the progress bar does not move).
After some time has passed I always receive the 'Genuine Software Verification Failure' message. I have attempted the installation multiple times, close all programs during install, multiple restarts, nothing seems to help.
Could someone please help as after trying to install around 20 times without success Im getting fed up!

Photoshop cs6 scanner help

Hi. I'm currently still a bit of a beginner when it comes to photoshop, but I've been drawing traditional for a while. I'm wondering, what kind of scanner should you use for photoshop cs6? (Preferably moderately cheap since I'm mostly a hobbyist)
I've been considering to buy an Epson, but I'm not quite sure yet. What do you think about it? Any help/suggestions is appreciated!

Rendering video in Photoshop CS6-"required software extensions missing"

How Can I Backup Photoshop CS6 downloaded software to DVD?

I downloaded Photoshop CS6 to my Mac. How can I create a backup DVD of the software for the future? I know it can be done, but I want to be sure I have all the parts necessary in case I need to reinstall the software after CS6 is no longer supported.
Adobe says:
Important: Back up your downloaded software to offline media, such as a DVD or network drive. With a backup, you have continued access to your software if it is unavailable from Adobe.com.
But...it doesn't tell me how to back it up. I certainly know how to backup files, but if something is missing and I get a new computer, I'm sunk! Thanks for your help.
Does Adobe let us buy a DVD of the program from them if we download? One of my friends had this option upon purchase, but I did not have the opportunity for some reason...

Thank you, Pat. I'm fairly good at computers, but I'm not really sure where all the correct files are on my Mac. I see lots of files, but don't know specifically which ones I need to copy. The link you gave me seems to be the trial version, but if I put my serial number into it does it convert to the full version?
In answer to my own question and in the hope I can help someone else...I just called Adobe after an unsuccessful chat session (just more links I had already checked). They claim that if we originally downloaded CS6, the link to redownload it will be supported in the future. We just sign into Adobe.com and look up our order. The download link should be there. I didn't ask if there will be new camera support. I would doubt it since this has not been the case in the past. In the past, I have found that new camera = new version of Photoshop!
If I understand it correctly, we can also download our "second" available files to an external hard drive (we are allowed to have CS6 on two computers). Then they can be copied and used to install on another computer. But if the download link is still available in the future, this seems unnecessary.
When I asked about the possiblity of my 3.5 year old Mac crashing (or being stolen) before deactivating the license on the machine, the reply was to call Adobe and tell them what happened. They will deactivate the serial number and give you a new one making the old one unusable, of course.
I hope this information is correct and that it helps someone else.
By the way, if you own CS3-CS6, you can get Photoshop CS6 Cloud for $9.95/month until mid-June (2013). Sorry, I don't have the link, but I saw it a number of times while searching! Personally, I don't need another monthly charge and it will go up in a year, but I wanted to let you know it is available. From what I understand, it is CS6 Extended whether you bought the Standard CS6 or Extended CS6 originally.

Installing Adobe Photoshop CS6 Update

I have been trying to install an update to my Photoshop CS6 Extended software package but I keep getting an error and the update fails the error code i have recieved is (U44M1P7). I am running Photoshop CS6 Extended, Photoshop CC and Lightroom on my MacBook Pro, the updates to Photoshop CC went fine but not the one for CS^. Also I am runnung the same packages on an iMac and all the updates loaded fjust fine.

Photoshop cs6 advice urgently needed!

Hello, I've just installed PhotoShop 6 on 20 of our college iMacs. We have a volume license account so this individual account signin is useless, but that's not the issue. Mac OSX, we have restricted use of files for students, they are allowed to run applications. Allowed access to Adobe Photoshop CS6. Software opens, but then gets message not allowed to run application adobe_licutil. What/where is that so we can modify our security settings to allow this to operate? I'm hoping this is an ok place to post this question. I can't seem to get access to any other Photoshop forums on this site!

Would any of you know by any chance how to find the download for a Mac OS X scanner driver? my Canon LIDE 600F scanner normally works fine - and i've checked and in principle it should be compatible with the latest Photoshop CS6 trial i've successfully downloaded. i've checked the Apple software update and that's fine too. it's just that when i open my photoshop CS6 and go to File - import - scanner, the scanner is 'missing' - and then when i try every which way, an error flag comes up, stating there's an internal error and cites the scanner driver. it looks as though i need a scanner driver download for Mac OS X 10.6. i've googled this and can't find it .... has anyone else encountered this hitch since downloading the latest Photoshop? previously i had Photoshop CS3 - it's the CS6 version now that i'm trying to work with. You know how it is, deadline approaching and trying not to OD on coffee

Scanner support in Photoshop CS6 Windows 64bit

Does CS6 restore the twain scanner function on Windows machines that was lost in CS5, or do I have to continue to keep CS4 on my desktop?

The TWAIN support in Photoshop CS6 for Windows is exactly the same as it was in CS5 and earlier. You can download the TWAIN plugin from adobe.com, and install it in the 32-bit version of Photoshop. You will also need to install TWAIN drivers for your scanner by getting the appropriate software from the manufacturer's web site or installation disk. You will need to run the 32-bit version of Photoshop to use your scanner.
There is no 64-bit TWAIN support in Photoshop on Windows primarily because the TWAIN data source manager (DSM) that Microsoft ships with Windows is 32-bit only.
While it is possible for more technically experienced users to download and install a 64-bit compatible DSM to replace the Microsoft version (see twain.org), there are two problems: first, the Photoshop TWAIN plugin is 32-bit only, and will not work in the 64-bit version of Photoshop regardless. But even if it did, and you installed a 64-bit DSM, the second problem is that there are virtually no 64-bit compatible TWAIN scanner drivers (data sources) available from scanner manufacturers (it's a classic chicken & egg problem--there's litte demand for 64-bit data sources, so there are very few 64-bit data sources.)
Dedicated scanning applications like VueScan are popular among people who have more demanding needs for controlling the scanning process, or do a large volume of scanning. The WIA and TWAIN plugins for Photoshop are intended for more casual use, and may be preferable to the expense and overhead of a separate application.

Ive got photoshop CS6 in my computer but when I tried to open it, it opened as Photoshop CS6 Extended and is asking me if I want to license this software so I can no longer access Photoshop. Can anyone help at all?

You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated.

I crashed my HD this week. My photoshop CS6 release is lost. How can I recover my software.

I already replace a new HD in my notebook.
