Photoshop CS6 Student Limitations

Hi everyone.
I have a few questions regarding Photoshop CS6 Student Edition that I hope someone can answer.
I am fairly new to Photoshop and I've only used it in school and during the CC trial period.
I've grown a liking to the software since it is more user-friendly than the other free editing software(s) out there.
1. Does the license have an activation limit?
I factory reset both my computer and laptop on a biannual basis to keep my files clean and free from any possible unwanted programs.
Do I have to take any extra steps such as uninstalling the PS CS6 Student (before the factory reset) to allow a reuse of the license on the new factory reset computer?
2. Are there any notable limitations between the regular Photoshop CS6 vs Photoshop CS6 Student?
The ones I am aware of are;
A) I can only use the student license for personal use and it is limited to two computers.
3. Would my own college e-mail be proof of enrollment?
4. In the case that I am no longer with my school after buying the Student Edition, am I still allowed the usage of the license/program indefinitely even after college/university?
5. I was told that I am also able to use the Student Edition commercially but are there any particular restrictions to that?
6. Is there any specific page that may answer any of the questions here?
I apologize if any of the questions were already answered but I'm honestly having a bit of a hard time navigating through the website since most of the information is only about Photoshop CC License instead of the CS6.

Instead of doing a factory reset, why not create an image of the hard drive and back that up. Installing all programs and updating Windows will take a considerable amount of time!
Where as a restore from an image literally takes in my case about 4 minutes, what I tend to do is create a new image every month, first download the latest software updates for Windows and Applications, do some house cleaning and re-image, this takes about an hour to perform. So in the unlikely event that I have issues with my PC I can have it back up and running in no time, with all my Applications installed and ready for use.

Photoshop CS6 students edition on 2 computers

I have bought the Photoshop CS6 students edition and installed it on my home pc. I remember reading that it is allowed to install it to 2 computers. I would now like to do that with my 2nd laptop. How do I have to proceed? Unfortunately I couldn't find any information on that on the adobe homepage.
Do I just install it on the second pc and insert the same serial number?

Yes, you just install it on the second machine and then activate it with the serial number you already have. If you ever need to put it on a different machine after this then you just need to deactivate on one of the current machines to free up an activation for use elsewhere.

Photoshop CS6 (student version) - AppStore?

I got a coupon for the appStore and I want to buy Photoshop CS6 (student version) but I cannot find it in the Mac AppStore. Is it possible, that I purchase it there (and am I just to blind to find it) or is it impossible to buy it there?

Adobe hasn't made a MAS version of that app.
PS Elelments is the closest you will get and the MAS version is less capable than the version Adobe sells on their site.

Upgrade from Photoshop CS6 Student to normal version?

Hello there,
Last year I bought Photoshop CS6 Student as I was a student back then. Right now I started a business and want to keep using photoshop legally. Is it possible to upgrade from a student license to a normal license? What is the price of this upgrade? Or can I just use my student version for business purposes? (I guess not)

Primarily a budgetary concern. At the time, I had $199 to spend on the upgrade. The extra $200 wasn't going to happen before the end of December when the pricing was said to increase so I went ahead and picked up CS6. The 3D capabilities would be nice to have and probably would be helpful in future projects, but the need right now was to get the upgrade to the standard with the (now presumably false) assumption I could upgrade when I had a few more gigs show up.
If it's another $400 to upgrade, it won't be worth it for me. My primary job is programming, I only do side work for photography and some simple design and while it'd be nice to have some basic 3D ability in Photoshop, it's not $600 worth (400 for the upgrade + the $200 I already spent).

Can I purchase the Photoshop CS6 student version in this educational stage? When does it expire?

Hi! I'm from Spain. I'm in a educational stage that would be more or less equivalent to what you call high school. This stage here is called "bachillerato". Does anyone know if at this stage I have rights to buy and use legally the Photoshop CS6 Extended student version for learning and earning money with commercial projects like games with some elements made with that version of Photoshop? Please only answer if you really know the answer, please don't simply say "yes" because in other countries you can get the version because of beeing in high school, because this is not exactly the same as high school.
And, if I can get the license and use it legally that way: when does it expire in this to cases?
A) I don't go to University. Would it expire when I finish "bachillerato". Or when?
B) I go to University but I don't study anything related with Photoshop.
I know that if I study something related with Photoshop in University I can use the student version then.

I would contact Adobe España Customer support, as they should know the full qualifications for "educational" accreditations there.
As for the university qualification, one does not normally need to be pursuing a degree, that would use Photoshop, to qualify for the "educational" discount - just full student, or teacher, accreditation - but that might differ in Spain?
Also, for many years now, Adobe has removed the restriction on doing commercial work (for pay) with the educational version, and that should be universal, and not just limited to certain countries, but it might pay to ask that question of Customer Support.

Are there any differences between photoshop cs6 extended and photoshop cs6 extended student version? Also for the student version is there a limit for how long you can use it after you buy it or can you use it for a lifetime?

Purchase Photoshop CS6 Students and Teachers

Hey guys,
i've got a question about the S&T version of Photoshop CS6.
I want to visit a college that is teaching photo stuff. It is said that when i'm a student i will get something like a voucher for Adobe Photoshop CS6 which will get me into a position to purchase the S&T version of Photoshop CS6.
What I don't get right now. I can purchase this version dispite that I have any evidence of the study status? Or is it just like ordering MS Office Home& Student where I can purchase it anywhere and install it as I want?
I just want to know what exactly I need to have in order to install and maybe activate this version.

Also, Ps CS 6 is at the end of its life-span. It, and all perpetual licensed programs from Adobe, are being dropped. Everything will be the Creative Cloud, and no longer a box set, or even a perpetual license.
Some certified resellers do still have the old Ps CS 6, and the college bookstore might be one of those. If so, pick it up as quickly, as you can, because, as they say on TV, "supplies are limited."

Putting Photoshop CS6 Student and Teacher Edition on a second computer

So I just got a new computer because the old one got a lovely looking crack in it.
I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition a couple of months ago.
I want to know how to put it on this computer.
Also, info on how to do the same with After Effects CC would be helpful as well.

JBoss1995 did you receive the software on DVD? If so then you will want to insert the DVD into your computer and begin the installation process. To obtain your serial number please review the documentation given to you with your purchase. Depending upon which country/region you are in and where you purchased the software the method to obtain your serial number will be different. I would encourage you your use the e-mail address associated with your educational institution to decrease the eligibility verification period.

Reinstalling Photoshop CS6 Student and Teacher Edition

My Photoshop CS6 is crashing every time I start it up. I've tried all the troubleshoot options (deleting prefs etc.). I want to do a clean install of the program as I have the original disk which I purchased, however it is the Student and Teacher Edition. I am a university student so to activate it I had to send my details off and have them confirmed etc. If I uninstall photoshop and install it again will the Serial Number Adobe sent me still work? I don't want to have to pay for it all over again. Cheers
