Photoshop CS6 to CS6 Extended Upgrade

I currently own Photoshop CS6.  How much will it cost to upgrade to CS6 Extended.  How do I do the upgrade,  download or do I get a new DVD?
Thanks!
Kent

I don't think there are any regular sidegrades. You should get in touch with support about an upsell to Extended. For the most part you simply need a serial number. The installers are the same, anyway.

  • Photoshop CS5 and CS5 Extended upgrade confusion

    Hello,
I recently upgraded to Photoshop CS5 from CS2 in the last couple of weeks as I was in need of a program to edit videos in and wanted to upgrade my Photoshop anyways. However, I soon realized that you cannot edit videos in CS5 and it is instead CS5 Extended that I needed. Unfortunate, I know. Should have done my research .
If I wished to have Extended now, is upgrading YET AGAIN from regular CS5 the only option I have or is there some other option to switch what I bought, pay the difference, and get what I needed in the first place?
    Thanks!

There is no "swap", indeed you'd have to buy a sidegrade. But frankly, and I really don't mean to be rude, "editing" videos in Photoshop? Seriously? Unless your kind of editing focuses on paint-centric stuff like rotoscoping or artsy effects or you do animatzed web banners at most, this is slightly more than insane. PS doesn't deal with even some basic stuff that's commonly associated with video/ film processing and even Premiere Elements can do many things better not to speak of the "big" Premiere, After Effects and other such tools.

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended Upgrade

Where can I get Adobe CS6 Extended upgrade (from CS5 Extended) for windows on a disk and NOT a download and what is the cost?
I don't want an eduction copy.

    Go to http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopextended.html
Click the Buy botton under the $399 price tag
Select Photoshop CS5 Extended from the "I Own" drop-down. Make sure Windows is selected from the Platform drop-down. Choose "Ship the box to me" for the Delivery drop-down.
Click Add to Cart and check out.

  • Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS6 Standard to Extended

From everything I have been able to find out, I would need to pay the full $400 upgrade from my CS4 license even though I already own CS6. Surely there must be a way to go from CS6 to CS6 Extended for less than the cost to go from a previous version to CS6 Extended, but if there is, I cannot find a way how.
    Thanks,
    R

Primarily a budgetary concern. At the time, I had $199 to spend on the upgrade. The extra $200 wasn't going to happen before the end of December when the pricing was said to increase so I went ahead and picked up CS6. The 3D capabilities would be nice to have and probably would be helpful in future projects, but the need right now was to get the upgrade to the standard with the (now presumably false) assumption I could upgrade when I had a few more gigs show up.
If it's another $400 to upgrade, it won't be worth it for me. My primary job is programming, I only do side work for photography and some simple design and while it'd be nice to have some basic 3D ability in Photoshop, it's not $600 worth (400 for the upgrade + the $200 I already spent).

  • Photoshop CS6 Subscription (non Extended) Edition not available?

    Hello,
I have just purchased the Photoshop CS6 Subscription Edition (not the Ps CS6 Extended Version).
However, following the download link under My Orders, I am only offered to download + install the Ps CS6 Extended Version (see screenshot below)
For whatever reason, the Adobe Application Manager does not differ between the Ps CS6 Standard and Extended Versions.
When opening the installed Ps CS6, it comes up in Trial Mode, a Nag Screen asking for Licencing. When using my Adobe ID (used for the purchase), I am prompted with a Serial Number Request.
==> Please advice how I can obtain my purchased product.
    Thanks, Frank

    Hi Rasmus,
indeed contacting support solved my issue - after 90 min of patience.
Basically (on Win7) the "fix" involved changing your local settings to english, reboot, uninstall all Adobe Photoshop Versions, reboot, Use Adobe Download Manager to download and install Photoshop "Standard" edition.
Then, launch it first time out of Adobe AppliManager.
The splash screen now shows Photoshop CS6 (no more Extended) and the registration is done automatically in the background.
I switched back my locale Win7 setting to non-english and things worked fine. I assume the locale setting change is not really necessary, but do uninstall all Photoshops before you try...
    Cheers, Frank

My Photoshop CS6 Extened will not upgrade to Photoshop CC

Photoshop CC is a seperate application. Updating CS6 will not convert your application to CC. You must download the CC app seperatly from the Creative Cloud App
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Kenton,
Adding to what James mentioned, this stands true for both Lightroom and Photoshop. In other words, you don't need to necessarily install the previous versions but while installing the latest versions, in this case Lightroom 5 & PS CS6, you will need the serial keys for previous versions as well along with the current ones.

  • Photoshop CS4 to CS6 upgrade

I ordered the Photoshop CS4 to CS6 package but the box that came has a sticker on it saying that I have to input a CS5 serial number. Do I have the wrong box or can I use this to upgrade my PS CS4?

Under Adobe's new "one version back" upgrade policy, only CS5 users can upgrade to CS6. Hence the sticker, I'm guessing.
However, when CS6 shipped, Adobe granted special dispensation to CS3 and CS4 users who can upgrade to CS6 - but only until 31 Dec 2012.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq/upgrade-policy.html
Without seeing the box and the sticker, it's hard to be definitve but my guess is that you have the correct box and you can upgrade to CS6 using that box.

  • Can I remove safely Photoshop CS5 after a successful upgrade to Photoshop CS6?

Can I remove safely Photoshop CS5 after a successful upgrade to Photoshop CS6? What is best and safest way to do this?

If you are using a Windows OS
Open CS5 and go Help > Deactivate.
Then Control Panel > Programs and features > select CS5 and uninstall.
Or just leave it there.  Make sure you have sorted any third party plugins from CS5, although the uninstall should leave them intact.

  • Upgrading from Photoshop CS3 to CS6

I am upgrading photoshop CS3 to CS6 on Windows 7.
I have downloaded two files: Photoshop 13_LS16.exe and Photoshop_LS167z.
However, it has not installed properly.
I can only open CS6 if I click on the LS167z file with (open with PS).
And although it opens I get the message: Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document.
CS3 is still as it was.

    Many thanks
    That makes everything clear.
    Also thanks for the deletes!

  • Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS3 to CS6?

Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS3 to CS6?

I think so, but only via the Creative Cloud, and with a one year commitment. And that upgrade may be only for suites, not individual apps. I didn't look that closely. See the page here:

  • How do I upgrade from Photoshop CS5 to CS6?

I have Photoshop CS5 and want to upgrade to CS6. However, I don't want the Creative Cloud version. (I don't want to have to pay a monthly or annual fee!) I want to pay the one-time "lifetime" license fee. Where do I go to do this? How much will it cost? Or is this no longer an option?

    NightSkyGuy wrote:
The page he was pointed to was for an entire suite and only presents a "buy at $699" choice.
That page has suites and individual apps.
Now that he knows that it's "lying" about being a $699 option to buy, clicking makes sense.
That's not a lie. Photoshop CS6 can be bought for $699.

I used to similarly  sneer at people who kept asking me what photoshop to get until I realized how much Adobe muddied those waters!  Hint, there are about a DOZEN Photoshop products (or at least there were).
I hardly think that the difference between a full purchase and an upgrade is analogous to the differences amongst "about a DOZEN" products.

  • I have Design Premium CS5, but can I upgrade Photoshop ONLY to CS6?

Like I stated, I have Adobe Design Premium CS5. I don't use the other programs as often as I use Photoshop, so is it possible for me to upgrade Photoshop only to CS6? Or do I have to purchase Design Premium CS6 in order to upgrade?
    Thank you for your time!

NO. Suites can only be upgraded to suites. A standalone upgrade would simply not accept the serial number.

  • Why when I install a stand alone trial version of Photoshop CS6 I get extended installation?

Why when I install a stand alone trial version of Photoshop CS6 I get extended installation? I want only CS6.

    Hi Ilya Nazarenko,
We would like to inform you that the installer for both Standard and extended version are same, as trial you get Extended version.
If you have serial number for Photoshop Standard CS6, only then it would turn out to be standard version.

  • CS6 to CS6 Extended to CC

Just signed up for CC, why does my Photoshop CS6 Standard does not upgrade to C6 Extended before it updates again for CC when available?

Since student versions are priced so low they have no upgrade route to another student edition.  You can upgrade to a regular CS6 version.
    Hope this helps.
