Photoshop CS6 Vector Work

Hi all, long time no talk... I was fortunate enough to get the CS6 just now, and I still way prefer working in PS than AI... for simple shapes and text, can PS CS6 save all vector info and export to PDF for the printer? If so, I couldnt find any "Preserve vector" setting in the PDF save window, so is it automatic?
And what is the way to produce shapes/effects in PS so the vector will be saved, can u not just make paths and fill with paint bucket, do u need to make masks?
Basically I would like to do all the work in PS and never touch AI for this type of simple project, but need vector PDF's.

Layer Styles will be pixel content – but then Raster Effects are also output as pixels in Illustrator.
Basically the Photoshop pdf will contain pixel images that have »clipping paths«.
To get an impression just save a pdf from Photoshop and then open it in Illustrator or open it with Photoshop, but set to »Images« instead of »Pages« in the Convert-dialog.
So Illustrator created pdfs may be superior in some regards.

Photoshop CS6 stopped working while exporting images via imageprocessor! [PC]

As the title says, my Photoshop cs6 64bit allways stops working and freezes when i attempt to export several opened documents via the imageprocessor.
I try to export them as JPEG, qualitiy 12.
My system Information:
Intel i5 Quad
12 GB DDR3 Ram
about 300 GB free disk space on saving location, (HDD) and 20 GB Workspace on SSDs for Phtoshop...(Working Volumes)

so it looks like there was a porblem with MSVCR100.dll ... What is it?

Thanks for your responce, i will try that but i think nvidia is on newest driver..
It would be intresting to know what this MSVCR100.dll is doing, i have seen problems in Games like Battlefield and Fallout..
I will now try to disable the GPU acceleration in PHS..

Photoshop CS6 Not Working with OS Mavericks

I can't get photoshop cs6 to behave properly now that I've upgraded to OS Mavericks. For that matter - I can't get InDesign or Illustrator CS6 to behave properly either.
When I use the File Open, File Save, and File Save As commands I immediately get the pinwheel that spins without end. It doesn't matter if I use a shortcut key or a the pull-down menu. I never get to a dialogue box. The pinwheel immediately appears after "Comm + O."
I've searched the forums and can't find a solution that works.
I've tried the following:
Removed all copies of CS5.1, CS5.5, and CS6. Reinstalled all CS6 apps.
Updated all CS6 apps to the latest version
Verified that I'm running the latest approved Apple Java from Apple
Updated my Wacom Drivers
Performed a repair permissions through Disk Utility
Unchecked "Displays have separate spaces" in Mission Control
Rebooted several times
Nothing has worked. Any ideas?
I'm considering using Time Machine and and reverting my OS.
FYI - 2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro

You (or TimeMachine) didn't restore all the files correctly, and it is crashing because the library cannot be loaded.
Your best bet is to reinstall Photoshop, and let Apple know that TimeMachine is not restoring applications/libraries/frameworks correctly.

Photoshop CS6 not working with new version of Yosemite. Please help!

When I was running Mavericks on my Macbook pro 15" Intel i7,everything seemed to be working completely fine. Now when I try to run Photoshop CS6 on Yosemite, the program keeps on crashing and giving me an error. Please help!

Sometimes the Yosemite upgrade breaks the install. You may have to uninstall and reinstall CS6, and do so as an administrator.

Edit in Photoshop CS6 not working

I recently upgraded to lightroom 5 and CS6 and for some reason I can no longer us the "edit in CS6" option. Lightroom will go as far as to open photoshop, but won't open the image which I have set to open as an 8bit PSD sRGB. Any ideas?

Ah, OK so I assume the admin account works, the other doesn't? Have to say I'm not savvy enough to understand what Photoshop/LR need in terms of items in the main account to make this all work. I might have to try that test on this end as I have two accounts too. I use the 2nd for trouble shooting. I suspect the primary account has something, somewhere in the user Library installed by Adobe that is accessed where it might not be in account #2.
If one account works, the other doesn't, we have to pinpoint what files are missing from the account that doesn't work.

Photoshop CS6 not working on new pc

I bought a new laptop and have installed my Photoshop CS6 on it, but it won't work.
I cannot open the old PSD files or even a photo or new blank page.

Just purchased since my old laptop was struggling to run Photoshop.
I downloaded my CS6 extended version directly from my Adobe page.
Photoshop opens and looks all good, but when I try to open an existing PSD file, Jpeg or start a new one - nothing happens at all
It has also started to 'not respond' as per task manager - at first it allowed me to keep trying to open things with nothing happening, now it is freezing and I have to close via task manager.
It even froze when I tried to open preferences.
I am currently waiting for a reinstall to complete

Photoshop CS6 will not open any longer. Clicks on the icon on the desktop do nothing. Yet I was working with it yesterday. Bridge opened with my files populating it. I turned off computer hoping CS6 would reset. CS6 still does not open, but now Bridge opens without any of my files. Please HELP.

I had downloaded Photoshop CS6. It worked for a while but now when I relaunch it, a "disc error" message shows up. I tried to re-install CS6 without success. I then threw the application in the trash to start from scratch. I still can not install. Please help?

Regarding the error you are receiving using BlackBerry App World™ storefront, could you please verify that the date and time settings on your BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone are correct before retrying to download? If these settings are correct, I would suggest verifying with your wireless service provider that your data plan currently supports these applications.

Photoshop CS6 stops working after a period of time

Hi,
I'm having a very frustrating issue with Photoshop CS6. When starting up my Pc or notebook it works just fine and I can open images and create new documents.
After a period of time (unknown) I can no longer open images or create new documents. There are no error messages appearing at all.
I have contacted support and to date nothing has worked to resolve this.
I have un-installed and re-installed Photoshop. I have tried running it without loading preferences etc.
The application is up to date as is my operating system.
This is affecting Photoshop on 2 separate installs, my PC and notebook
Any ideas?

Photoshop CS6 stops working during random operations

I am asking for help again, as I have not had luck in getting this issue resolved. I have a PC with Windows 7, and am using Photoshop CS6. At random times during working in Photoshop, pop up screen just says "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working". Then offers to try find solution or to close program. There has not been a solution offered if I picked that option. The drop down has the following information:

Look at the OS Event Viewer. See if you can find the line Faulting Module. That will be where problem is.

Photoshop CS6 stops working

After opening and using photoshop cs6 for a few minutes I get a box popping up saying Adobe Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." So far never received any notifications about a solution. I notice that it closes soon after I try a CTRL T to select an image.

ok i found what I think you mean by updates when you open photoshop and under help it has updates but when I click on update it says Update Failed update could not be applied because you are already running the adobe application manager. please close all appliances of adobe application manager before applying updates.

Photoshop CS6 not working right

Issues are happening on a mac. using photoshop CS6. opening files from bridge CS6, trying to edit the photos and the photos sometimes goes black or scrambled. recently started to happen every now and then and now it's every time. I have uninstalled photo shop and reinstalled. I do believe that I have everything updated.

I don't ever recall anything being pre-highlighted in the list on any version using Windows, and I always remember that under most conditions you see only a list of layers under the click point - though when masks are involved with pixel layers Photoshop tends to think a layer covers the entire canvas, so it gets listed. Groups can complicate things some too.
It may be that given the way Windows controls work, highlighting something the mouse is not actually hovering over is simply impossible, or so egregiously non-standard that it would just confuse Windows users. I think it would confuse me if I saw it.
It's good practice to just name your layers appropriately so that you can easily find them in whatever list you're looking at.

My Photoshop CS6 stopped working.

I have Win 7 and my PS CS 6 worked fine for months but now has stopped opening any files or creating new ones. Instead it just freezes without any errors warnings. I do have CS5 PS still installed and it still works fine. All other CS6 programs work fine also. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled and I still got the same problem.
