Photoshop cs6, yosemite compatibility

is mac os x yosemite compatible with photoshop CS6? i want to buy a new PowerBook and move over my existing PS CS6...

It's a bit early to tell, but Adobe will update CS6 to maintain compatibility.
Whenever new OS versions come along, most will hold back the upgrade until things are settled.
Another note. Best advice is to never transfer Photoshop to a new Mac, do a fresh install.

Seit dem ich auf meinen iMac das Update auf os x Yosemite durchgeführt habe, ist es fast unmöglich mit Photoshop CS6 zu arbeiten. Wenn ich eine Maskierung mache, hat Photoshop immer sehr lange Verarbeitungszeiten bis ich wieder eine neue Aktion ausführen kann. Es sieht meistens aus, als würde es abstürzen. Teilweise dauert es fast 30sek bis wieder etwas geht. Weiss einer was das Problem sein könnte? Vor dem Update funktionierte dies einwandfrei.

If I click "Open Anyway" or "Render using Lightroom", I get the following message:
"Adobe Photoshop CS6 cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop CS6 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X."
Please tell me what to do so I can edit from Lightroom to Photoshop.

In Photoshop, if you choose Help - About Plug-in... - Camera Raw, does it say 8.6?
Seems to me there was some hiccup they found in the update process, which prompted this:
Camera Raw updates cannot be applied
I honestly don't know if the problem could apply to 8.6 as well, which is why I asked you to check to make very sure you really got it.

OS Yosemite and Photoshop CS6 didn't work correctly

After i have been update to Yosemite, i notified that during painting in Photoshop CS6(13.02) using brush, i can't some time use my short keys on wacom tablet and on keyboard too. After i turn another tool then back to brush, shortcuts works well. Also most nervouse thing happening its during drawing i use color picker tool by shortkey and when i press out button "alt' its has some delay before it turn on to brush again, about 1-2 sec. Why? On last OS before updating it works well.
Any suggestions?

If you are having problems with CS3 on Yosemite, it's likely the same situation as CS5. Reinstall CS3 and updates.

Crash when opening Yosemite OSx installer and Adobe Bridge and Photoshop CS6

Hi,
I'm having increasing problems with my Mac Book Pro. It crashes when opening Adobe Bridge CS6, Photoshop CS6 and now when trying to install the Yosemite operating system. There is no error code associated with the crash but the error report is below:

I've cleaned up my hard drive and am running 8GB RAM with plenty of memory. Also scanned the disk for errors etc. No luck.

Issues with exporting photos to be edited in Photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 5.6 using Yosemite OS.

Suddenly, I'm unable to edit my photos from Lightroom 5.6 in Photoshop CS6. I have recently converted from Mavericks to Yosemite OS. But, I haven't had any issues for the past week or two. Now, whenever I try to Edit photos from Lightroom 5.6 in Photoshop CS6, either nothing happens. Or from the drop down menu, the option to Edit in Photoshop CS6 is greyed out. Both Lightroom and Photoshop are the latest versions. I've even uninstalled, and reinstalled Photoshop CS6 without any improvement. Help!!!

Sorry, I was wrong about the check box, that only works if you are importing images from a memory card. If they are already in the catalogue, they will be greyed out in either case.
"I'm pretty confident therefore that it is not in the catalog but it appears that Lightroom for some reason thinks it is." Well I can't read Lightroom's mind, but I think that Lightroom thinking it is in the catalog is the same thing as it being in the catalog.
When you still have the edited file open in Photoshop CS6, after you have edited and saved it as "IMG_4312-edit.tif," what happens if you try "save as," does it bring you to the correct folder to save it in? If you try to save as without changing the name does it ask if you want to overwrite the original? Can you now save it with a new name (e.g. "IMG_4312-Edit2.tif") and have it show up?
You type above, "IMG_4312.CRW, I do some edits in Lightroom but I want to do some more in Photoshop so I send it to the PS CS6 from within Lightroom. The image opens, I make my edits and I click Save. This creates a new file called IMG_431-Edit.tif." 4312 vs. 431 just make sure you aren't making the same small mistake when searching for the file.

Sometimes the Yosemite upgrade breaks the install. You may have to uninstall and reinstall CS6, and do so as an administrator.

Photoshop CS6 on Yosemite make problems

Hello, I've Photoshop CS6 running on Yosemite und use a Wacom Cintiq as a second monitor. Often I can’t use shortcuts keys only after changing the tool.
Now I've installed the WhiteWindowWorkaround Plugin and this problem is fixed. But now I can't open, save and close with shortkeys anymore. Is there any solution, too?

To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.

Photoshop CS6 files are compatable with CC files

My college is using photoshop CS6 and I have installed photoshop CC. I was told that files are not compatable between the two.

Standard Photoshop PSD files can be backwards compatible (with the caveats mentioned) – here is a test of saving back from CC to CS6 & CS5:

There are also some practices you can use to increase compatibility between versions, not just for Photoshop but for all the Adobe CC apps.

since the update from Mountain lion to Yosemite I have some problems with my Wacom intuos3 in Photoshop CS6.
iMac (27 Zoll, Mitte 2011)
3,1 GHz intel Core
12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB
It reacts slowly and sometimes not. I installed the actual driver and a PS plugin.
Wacom Treiber (WacomTablet_6.3.10w2.dmg)
PS CS6 Plug-in (WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin1_0_6)
After the plugin everything was fine.
But i needed a actual java (8) version for Illustrator CS6 and new problems appear.
If I work faster in PS (more lines/drawing) the Pen reacts delayed. Sometimes not.
I hope someone understands my problem. I´m happy for every help. At the moment working in PS is a little bit difficult.
