Photoshop documents dissapearing from desktop

I'm using Photoshop CS3 for windows, running in parallels on my iMac with Lion OS. Documents I'm working on keep disappearing from the PS desktop. I then have to close PS and start again, but not before being asked If I want to save the documents. Obviously the documents are still there, but where, and how do I get them back,

... and you are posting on Mac Pro forum because... we tend to run Windows VMs using Parallels and know CS3?
Checked that your VM image isn't corrupt? that it is large enough? and you allocated or need more RAM?
There are forums on Parallels own site.
Also are you sure CS3 is workable?
Helps to include little things like hardware, what you did, what version of Windows, and that Parallels is latest version and supports Lion and CS3.

Hi Sunil,
I need a clarification, when actually document getting deleted from Ur desk top,
after checkin or after deleting the checkin document from DIR.
If it is getting deleted after checkin, then go to T-code DC30 - Workstation application and select the application of Word document and choose the details and remove the tick mark from "Delete file after check in" .
According to my knowledge there is setting in SAP DMS if U delete the checkin document from DIR it will get deleted from Ur desktop.
Still if U will face the same problem after the above setting, let me know to help you.

Starting Photoshop 2014 CC from Desktop and start menu states ExtendScript.dll error

I purchased Adobe CC for Student this morning and when I go to launch Photoshop 2014 CC from start menu/desktop it states:
"This Program can't start because ExtendScript.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
If however I try to launch from the directory of the installation or the task bar it launches with non of the errors stated above I will also state that
when I go to search the directory for the .dll file its there, is there a fix for this or will I have to install this completely.

Mac or Windows?
Did you run the 15.1 update from Help > updates or from the CC Desktop Application?
Try installing that, if still fails, might need to uninstall, and reinstall.

Icons dissapear from desktop

I have a HP EliteDesk 800 gi sff computer that runs win7 64 bit. Seems like about once a week somtimes more often I will lose desktop icons the seem to be only network shortcuts but they will dissaper from my desktop. Any one have an idea on how to fix this?

Cc app dissapears from desktop

The CC app disappeared from my desktop when I tried to change the name - which I have done before with no problem.. When
trying to re-download - I get the screen but no icon. - and the screen disappears too.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled CC desktop app.

Today I turned on my computer and the same problem has happened again. I cannot use Prelude.
is this something to do with my email being hacked via the adobe hacks?

Network dissapeared from desktop

Just lost workgroup network on my iMac.Running updated Leopard.I'm able to connect to shared workgroup drives via "last used" but i don't see the network icon or computers anymore. Please advise.
Also constantly freezing while on slide show screen saver. After going to sleep, unable to use keyboard or mouse to get into the system. Slideshow frozen on the screen between two pictures. Have to hold on power button in order to restart iMac.

Last night i restored the system via Time Machine and rolled back to 02/01/08.
I was able to get the network drives on the desktop, again by using the option LAST USED FOLDERS.
When i do that than one of the network computers shows under shared (the one containing the shared drives.But does not shows on the left side of the window until i manually invoking to connect to the shared drive.
Others still unable to see or to connect to, even the mack book.
I tried to do the system test. I inserted the TechTools disk in, hold the C key and restarted the Mac - nothing happened, the system just booted. (I installed the upgrade for TechTool Pro previously)Tried this for 5-6 times.
I tried to clean the PREM to with no succes - hold the CONTROL + OPTIONS + P + R, started the Mac while holding the power key pressed - nothing, the system just booted to login screen - no BEEPS at all????????
Kind of LOST in space i guess.
I changed the settings for screen saver and power saver: instead of showing a slide show, i choose the RSS feed, to turn on after one hour of inactivity.
I disabled the power management so the system nor the HD won't go to sleep.
I'll post you with findings on this. I did it last night.
Buy the way the system is iMac 20" duo w/2gb ram.

Get a problem - my start up HDD dissapeared from desktop - system still working correctly - but i need it ^_^ already try to restore it from dvd boot by disk utility - it makes path do the disk correct - volumes/hdd 750 - but when i log on it's not on! and disk utility shows volume path "/" HELP ME PLZ!

Opening/Dragging Images from Desktop into Photoshop CS4

I'm trying to import/drag/open a png image file from finder, my desktop, or anywhere on my hard drive into an existing photoshop document. Unfortunately, the image does not drop into the existing document; it just bounces off. No new layer is created. When I try to import the photo manually from File-->Open, the image is opened in a new document instead of the existing one.
This only occurs for images saved on my hard drive. Any image pulled from a web browser and dragged/dropped into the document creates a layer. I'm running Snow Leopard.
I've installed the latest software updates to Snow Leopard and installed the latest CS4 patch, version 11.0.2.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's because when you "drag" from the web browser, you are performing a copy-and-paste from one application to another one. The Finder is not involved. As I said earlier, "The Finder knows nothing about dragging Photoshop layers."
My original post was poorly written. Please ignore my digression on file-->open, which loads the image into a new layer in a new document, which it has always done and like you said, is normal behavior.
I was emphasizing that I can't find a way to directly insert a photo from the OS (Snow Leopard) running CS4 into an existing document in one step. The directory path of the file on the OS is meaningless in regard to this behavior.

You've lost the script by focusing on the finder. The file path of the image, whatever it is:
/Users/alex/Desktop/image.png
/Users/alex/Documents/image.png
/Users/alex/Pictures/image.png
should be meaningless.
Dragging and dropping an image from OS X to Photoshop is the rule and this failure the exception.
There is something I'm not doing or a misconfiguration causing this.

The file was corrupted somewhere along the way (assuming it was still readable on the Macintosh).
The platforms don't matter, but you still need file transfer that doesn't corrupt files...

What is the resolution of the image that you "dragged"? The resolution is the number in pixels per inch (ppi). If you dragged a significantly lower resolution file into a higher resolution file, it could result in a blurry image.

Attaching documents from desktop to FIORI

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to add documents from desktop/tablet to FIORI apps? If yes, it leads to further questions:
a. how can this be implemented/activated?
b. is there any inherent virus control?
c. what are the document types allowed?
d. size limits?
e. DMS/archiving.

If you do not want to change the business process, I recommend Fiori Approve Requests app. Attachments are stored in workflow container.
Approvers can approve/reject/forward/comment but there is no creating attachment in the standard.
If creating attachment from approver side is mandatory, you can extend the standard app by using UI extension points. Please look at SAP Fiori - Extensibility.
Is there any business requirement for approving documents in their mobile devices? In that case, is excel attachment the best option?
