Photoshop Downloads only to 99%?!

I've tried downloading Photoshop, but it's stopped at 99% downloaded. Any ideas why?!

We can't know anything. You have not provided any system info or told us what version of PS you are trying to download from where using what browser.

I am trying to run my registered CS6 Design Standard programs for the first time after install. InDesign runs OK, but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trail mode. How do I activate those two?

I can't get my registered versions of CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator to run in full mode. I installed CS6 Design Standard online end of June (an upgrade from CS5.5), on my old MacBook Pro. I didn't run the programs then as I was waiting on arrival of new MacBook Pro. I migrated the programs from my old MacBook to the new, and today tried to run those programs for the first time. InDesign work OK (after an initial hiccup) but Illustrator and Photoshop will only run in trial mode, and won't let me save files. My CS6 Design Standard shows with it's registration in my Adobe Account. All seems in order, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't run in registered mode. Can you please help?

Please use the uninstallers to remove your current installation. They are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once the uninstall is complete you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. Did you downloaded and installed Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 through Creative Cloud.
After uninstalled them, Creative Cloud saying applications are "Up to Date" when not installed.
If this is the case then please perform the steps given in the help document.

Try to follow below steps
Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
It will open Go to folder window, type exactly ~/Library and click on Go
Then open Application Support > Adobe folders
Trash AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.
Now click on finder and hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad.
This time type /Library and click on Go.
Make sure to remove ~ symbol.
Then open Application Support > Adobe folders.
Trash AAMUpdater, Adobe Application manager, OOBE folders.
Now Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + U keys on your keypad.
It will open utilities folder.
Trash Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folders
Download and Run CC cleaner tool from below link

Download ONLY PSE 12 Organizer? Please help!

I'm truly in need of some help here... I recently downloaded the Photoshop Elements 12 Editor from the Mac App Store, thinking that I would combine it withiPhoto instead of Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer (I work on an iMac and am completely new to Photoshop). However, this does not work at all for me (very difficult to organize the photos and the edited copies, etc.), and I now want tobuy/download only the Organizer so I then have both Elements parts. Is this possible from the Adobe website? Everywhere I look I only see the option of downloading the complete Elements 12 including both Editor and Organizer. Since I've already paid for the Editor through App Store, I don't want to buy it again, but only get the Organizer as a complement. I would be very grateful for your help how to solve my situation!

No, sorry, you can't. Adobe doesn't do that. Some people have been able to use the Report a Problem link on the receipt to cajole apple into letting them return it, but lately they seem to have gotten tired of doing that. Wouldn't hurt to try though.
As for working with iphoto you have two main options:
1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto. Save, not Save As, without changing the name or format once you're through editing and iphoto will remember last saved edits + original, although you will lose the edits if you want to see the original again. To make this work you will need to go to the PSE preferences>saving files and set On First Save to save over existing.
2. Export the photos from iphoto, use file>Open in PSE, then make as many changes to name or format as you like. Import the saved images back to iphoto as new files.

I purchased several songs and they are not showing up in my purchased file. Tried to go online and re-download them but ITunes is not giving me option to download only the ones I am missing. It *****

I contacted Itunes and they told me to go to my account and re-download the songs. I opened my account and found the recent purchases, but they are not recent, there are 250 songs in that list, how come? And ITunes didn't give me an option to download only the ones I am missing. I don't want to download 250 duplicate songs.
The Itunes updates are worst each time, BTW, Just starting to get sick and tired of Mac and Apple and Itunes and all this complicated stuff because of your paranoia of people "stealing" songs, but in fact, who is going to download songs ilegally is going to do it anyway, So all you are doing is to make it difficult for honest people who actually buy the songs and can't have them. I reported the problem several times and didn't get any more answers. Hope this works before I disoute the charges of the songs I don't have.

I'm not sure how the Purchased Playlist decides what to put into it, but if you want to see all of your purchased items, then you need to go to the iTunes Store, and on the right side, under Quick Links, click on Purchased.
Then, click on the Music (or whatever other purchased items tab you want to look at). If you are looking at Music, click on All Songs, and then on "All" or "Not on this Computer" (depending on what you want to see).

Is it possible to download only Software Updates for multiple Macs.

We currently have two 24inch iMacs, a 15 inch and a 17 inch MacBook Pro and a MacBook and only have limited download speeds in our regional area and only 1 Gb of data download allowance a month. Is there any way we can "download only" software updates on one computer and transfer the update to the other systems in Snow Leopard, like we did in Leopard. This does not appear to be possible in Snow Leopard. For us to upgrade all computers to 10.6.5, we would blow our data allowance for 2.5 months. And this does not take into account all the other updates that are available for installed Apple software. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

well, one way of doing that is to get the stand alone installer packages from [here|http://support.apple.com/downloads>, then either mount the .dmg's from the other Mac(s) or copy the .dmg's over the network.
i actually prefer this over software download - i usually install new software while booted into _*safe mode*_.

Clicked on the "download only" because I didn't have the time to install it at that point. It downloaded but didn't stop. It continued to the 'backing up your iPhone' segment then froze. I waited at least an hour with no change. Finally I unplugged my phone..iTunes wasn't responding.I rebooted my pc then tried the same thing again. Same outcome even though I let it "Back Up" for 7-8 hrs while I slept. Same Story............... iTunes 10.4.0.80 is the software I'm using. When my phone is 'plugged' in what I see on it's face is "Sync in Progress".....for hours!

Apple Mail downloads only one mail at a time...

Hi Everybody,
My PowerBook runs on Tiger 10.4.11. And I have Apple Mail version 2.1.3, which I have configured to my gmail account.
Just a few days back I noticed something very peculiar about the download habit of Apple Mail which now downloads only one mail (this has started a few weeks back). Irrespective of how many mails there are on my gmail, when I press 'get mail' button, it connects to my gmail account and shows & downloads only one mail(the first in the row). Now, when I figured out the problem I have to press the 'get mail' button again and again till there are no more mails to download. It actually downloads all mails based on the receipt time, but only one at a time.
Does anyone here have any idea what this could be. I really look forward to sorting this out.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
May even need to do an Archive and Install if you have room on the HD...

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.
