Photoshop element 12 - El organizador no responde

Thanks Barbara. I try but it does not work. The answer was that no errors in catalog. I repaired anyway. Then I received a dialog box saying that new files was ready to be imported and the same two screans appears and Organizer scratch.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 Error Not Responding

I am trying to get assistance in getting my photoshop back up and running.  I have called Adobe and there is no sympathy all they want is money to fix it.  They have sent me here to speak to an Adobe Tech.  I am finding that this is a very common issue but none of the resolutions have worked.  Everytime I try to enter my organizer my program stops working and gives the message "not responding".  I am running on Windows 7.  Please help, I am getting very frustrated with Adobe...

Try right clicking on the Organizer desktop icon and then choosing “Run As administrator”
If you don’t have a desktop icon, this is how to create one.
On Windows right click on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file
“PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
    Select it and click OK
    Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
    Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.
You can set up a similar direct link to the Editor application (.exe file which has the blue PSE icon). As before take out Photoshop Elements just leaving the description Editor and it will show up clearly on the desktop.

  • Photoshop Elements 13 is not responding

I have downloaded Photoshop Elements 13 and when I go to extract files it almost completes and then it says Photoshop Elements 13 is not responding.  What can I do to fix this?

    Hi,
Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
    Solution 1:
    1. Close Elements.
    2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
    3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
    Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go  to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements  10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain  plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere  else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

My Photoshop elements 11 and 13 organizer suddenly exits. photoshop elements is not responding. Message occurs when the error is found. solicit help, That's all.

We really cannot know. So far you haven't told us anything about your system nor is there any feasible way to diagnose what this "missing file" could be, no matter what. That is, short of elaborate tracking and observation using specialised system diagnosis tools. The welcome screens can be brough back via the Help menu, but well, this might bring back the problems as well. Anyway, this is most likely nothing that a forum can help you with. If you know a computer geek, give him a call. Otherwise I don't see what we could do for you.

  • Photoshop Elements not responding

I just purchased Photoshop Elements and have registered and loaded all my pictures but now everytime I open the program another screen appears on top of the welcome screen about taking a tour, I have taken the tour several times now because the only way to get out of that screen is to take the tour and then it will open up to the home screen, then the program will not respond and that is as far as I can get.  My computer meets all the requirements for this program, can anyone tell me what might be the problem, is there a number to call to talk to someone from Adobe?

A number of people have reported here problems with a tour that just won't go away.  Some Adobe employees were participating in the threads, but I don't recall seeing a solution (there might be).
Meanwhile, you can work around the annoying Welcome Screen by avoiding it, starting the Editor and Organizer directly.  See this FAQ:

  • Photoshop Elements 13 does not respond to editing tools

Photoshop Elements 13 does not respond to editing tools.  I have a MAC.  Any suggestions?

Reset the tools or reset preferences.
    What version of operating system?

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Not Responding

After installing Photoshop Elements 10 when I launch the application and choose the 'Edit' option it takes about 3 minutes before it responds.

    Hi wencol1
May be PSE is not able to load font properly. Try Resetting preferences.Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift immediately after Photoshop Elements Editor begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file. After that select the type tool and it will again build up the fonts that are installed in the OS  you are using. Do reply if you face issues.

  • Photoshop Elements 9 not responding

I am using Photoshop Elements 9, but I am beginning to get the error message that it is not responding.  What could be the problem and how to fix it?

It could be any number of things -- but you haven't given us enough information to be able to help you.
Are you running the 64-bit version of Windows 7? You may want to check out the 64-bit version of Windows 10. It runs like the wind on that OS!
New computers are usually full of outdated drivers, temp files and fragmentation.
Have you manually gone to Windows Update and downloaded all of the latest updates? Do you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements?
When did you last clean and defragment your system? In my books, I recommend Advanced System Care from iobit. It cleans your temp files, tunes your registry and defragments with a single button. And it's free!

When does it lock up? When you first starting the program or when you're in the midst of editing? What is the source of the video you're editing when it locks?

  • Why has photoshop elements 11 expert editing mode slowed down considerably and always giving me a message that says the program is not responding

prompting me to either wait for the program to respond or shut down?Photoshop Elements@

I expect your technician has already tried this, but you can restore a PC to a point in time that is earlier than the problem first became apparent (see link below for windows 8)
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/system-restore-from-windows-8-recovery-environme nt/
    or it's
Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore in Windows 7
Any programs you've installed recently would be lost but all your other files and photographs would remain unaffected.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements does not respond when quicktime is installed

I currently have a Windows Vista PC with Photoshop Elements 5.0. Photoshop seems to work fine, however when Quicktime is installed, Photoshop stops working (sometimes immediately and sometimes within a few days). When Quicktime is installed, Photoshop will start, but freezes and never loads pictures. I read a post at another website with the same problem suggesting that I could unistall Quicktime and then reinstall. I tried uninstalling and Photoshop started working immediately. However, when I reinstalled Quicktime the same thing happened. I've tried this numerous times, both by installing Quicktime separately and as a package with iTunes. I would be fine w/o quicktime on my computer, however it seems that I need it in order to use iTunes. Any advice on what to do? Thanks.

FYI, I'm using a Mac with the latest OS, whatever that's called.
