Photoshop Elements 10 - Create Greetings Card

I have just loaded Elements 10 and when first going to create a Greetings card I get Options for paper size to Print Locally, Kodak and ShutterFly.
Choose Print Locally and save the file amd close PSE10.
When reopening PSE10 and Creating a new Greetings card, the Kadak and Shutterfly options are no longer available!
Do I have an issue with my copy of PSE10?
Thanks

I am not sure whether this is issue with your machine or may be your PSE10 is not correcty installed.

Try deleting Editor's prefernces file to see if anything is of help. You can do this by -
Start PSE to get to the Welcome screen. Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys and click Edit. Keep holding down the keys until you see a window asking “Delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?” Click Yes.
This would reset the preferences and should be of help.

  • Can Photoshop Element 12 create new alpha channels?

Can Photoshop Element 12 create new alpha channels? I wanted to create one to help with blurring the background and I saw the step by step on line, but I can't find where the channel panel is? I have a PC

There is no channel panel in Elements. You could add some paths and channel features with third party add-ons like Elements+, but the real solution is to use a tutorial for Elements, not for Photoshop. There are always several ways to achieve something in Elements or Photoshop. Using alpha channels is only one way to help with blurring the background.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Create No Longer Accessible

Purchase Photoshop Elements 10 as a download - fully paid.  I created hoilday cards with it, and now when attempting a birthday card - the Create section no longer shows the features it used to (themes, backgrounds etc).  It keeps prompting for an Adobe ID, which I have entered repeatedly and verified.  It wants birthdate and other info, and then says Adobe is unavailalbe and failed.  The software is useless to me without this functionality that it originally had.  I see no disclaimers that after 1 year my $75 would be worth nothing.
Is this happening to others?  What can be done to resolve?

Well after being online chat for about 2 hours and 45 minutes on phone with adobe customer service I just discovered my Photoshop Premier Elements 10 which I paid....about 85.OO + dollars at Best Buy less than 1 year ago has features in its software which is not avaiable. The example I was telling the support team was the disc menus.  Any options with a + sign on it is NOT available because when you try to download it, it has you sign in with your adobe.ID, than takes you to a screen asking for your birthday infomation and URL you choose, than says it is unavailable contact adobe.com.  I did, and after over 3 hours I found out that all the extra content you can get has been taken off the servers, and the photoshop.com or adobe.com has been replaced with adoberevel.com. which has absolutely NOWHERE where you can update your software, content that is supposed to be available to the people who purchased this program.  I gave them a legitamate serial number to prove I paid for it too.  There was no disclaimers, because this isn't a subscription type software so basically your 75.00 and my 85.00 is a waste of money because we are stuck with the very basic feature. The URL feature is not available to us either, but you can gladly spend MORE of your cash to get the cloud feature if you want to share videos online.  It is very wrong to just take away the features of this software and not  have some sort of update or server set up so that the people who paid for it can download whatever features that was originally available. If nothing is planned to solve this issue I know plenty of PC review magazines and social media sites that would gladly spread this OUTRAGE across the internet. The BBB.gov would love to be updated on this since, the company gladly saved ton's of cash farming out their support to outside countries to save money but screwed the consumers by making products that are less than 1-2 year old not functionable after immediate time of purchase.
Please resolve this issue, ESPECIALLY if this product is still avaiable for the consumers to buy.  This is very unprofessional to sell products that do not have the support or features it is suppose to have.

  • Photoshop Elements 11- Create and save multiple page PDF's?  Software bug or new limitation?

I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 11.  One of the reasons I stayed with Adobe rather than Corel was the ability to work with multipage PDF's.
I noticed that I can't add more than one page to a project and save a multiple page PDF.  I can open a multiple page PDF, but not create or save one.
Is this a new limitation, or just a software bug Adobe plans to fix?
Has anyone found a way to work with multiple page PDF's in Photoshop Elements 11?

It's a new limitation in PSE 11, for one of those mysterious adobe reasons.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 12: Create Web Photo Gallery

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12: I need to create a Web Photo Gallery so I can upload thumbnails and full-size pictures to my own website. Does anyone have an idea? No Facebook, Flickr, Adobe Revel etc.

Barbara, thank you very much. I really miss it. I have tested jalbum. It's great.
PSE 12 should also offer something like this.

  • Can I use Photoshop Elements to create digital flyers for sales & marketing?

Looking to create digital flyers to be emailed and used on social media ads.  Is photoshop elements a good tool for this?

It's certainly possible to do it, but there are many other programs, like almost any desktop publishing program, that will give you more options more easily. PSE is at its best as a photo editor, not a page layout program.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 - Create package

I have some issues with Photoshop elements 8, why do i have to use the setup.exe to install? I just want to use MSI file with setup.ini OR switches, and with a *.mst file(wich i want to edit before use, but do not know how..)
This is a packeage i'm going to deploy through SCCM.
Can someone help me out here?
Is there a customization tool for photoshop elements 8?
    Best regards
    Stian

Why do you need to edit the PSE .msi file before installing it on the machines?
If you want to install PSE through some deployment tool, then please get in touch with Adobe support team for enterprises and they should help you with the installation support.
Also, installing PSE through the .msi files is not recommended before it doesnt install few components which are installed only when PSE is installed through Setup.exe and hence the .msi file of PSE8 is locked for direct invoking.
I would request you again to contact Support team which are especially there to help enterprise deployments and customizations before installation.

I am working with windows xp, and am using the trial version to see if I like it, and was creating a greeting card with a photo on the front, but could not resize it. Best advice: get a real greeting card program, like American Greetings CreataCard, for making cards, but keep your image editor for editing images.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Greeting Cards

I have tried and tried to print a greeting card locally (i.e. on my home printer) using Photoshop Elements 10.  I have searched the forums and found suggestions to save and reopen to print, but it doesn't work for me.  I can't believe Photoshop has had this problem for so long and never fixed it.  I bought PSE10 a month before 11 came out and when I try to contact support, they refuse, telling me support only applies to 11.  I have searched, phoned, chatted, and experimented for hours, only to tell me that for another $29 Adobe will discuss the issue with me.  Incredible.    When I click the menu to create a greeting card, it gives me size options for Shutterfly, nothing for local printing.  And if I click PRINT, it doesn't work - it prints the card out on four separate sheets of paper, no matter what settings I try to change.
I finally insisted on speaking with a Supervisor, named Fhekhar, who sounded more accomodating after a long wait on hold.  They sent me an email with link to solve the problem without charge.  It directed me to http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/using/create-greeting-card.html, which I had already found.  It doesn't help at all.  But it too suggests you can print locally - it just doesn't tell you how.  They also sent a link to A Photoshop Elements 9 video tutorial for printing greeting cards.  http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-9/creating-greeting-cards/ which I have also found before - and again not helpful.  It goes all the way up to the actual printing, but stops there and doesn't show you how!
Photoshop Elements 10 will allow you to print greeting cards on Shutterfly. I do not want to pay for printing on Shutterfly - that's why I have cardstock, an expensive photo program and a printer!
    Has anyone solved this??????????????

I have used Greeting Card Factory and it's an inexpensive excellent program, but there is no need to purchase it.
I made my greeting cards from scratch.  I don't bother with the templates provided with PSE.
For fold-over cards, I make two projects.
Start with a document size  before folding.  i.e. -  8.5x5.5 card needs to start with a 8.5x11 document.
Document one is the front and back of the card.  Note, the front graphic needs to be on the bottom of document one.  Anything for the back needs to be upside down and near the top of the document.
Document two is the inside.  Again, the verse needs to be on the bottom half of the document.
I save them as jpgs and print document one on the first side
Reinsert the cardstock, print document two on the other side.
When printing - the only thing that is tricky is making sure you re-insert the cardstock in the right direction.
I have found it much easier to do things my own way rather than work within the confines of PSE's templates.

  • Creating Slide Shop in Photoshop Elements

I want to import a large number of approximately 500 digital images into Photoshop Elements and create a slide show. When I import the images from the Windows Explorer folder, the order of the images is different from my order arrangement before importing. This is a matter of a lot of images that have been rearranged. I have tried Multiple Image Processing to put the desired images in numerical order, but this does not help. Does anyone know how to retain the image order when importing into Photoshop Elements (or either Premier Elements)? Thanks

    >Does anyone know how to retain the image order when importing into Photoshop Elements (or either Premier Elements)?
Do you have all of these images files for the slide show in the same Windows folder? And does the file name sequence designate the order in which you wish the photos to be shown in the slide show?
I am guessing that the answer to both questions is yes, because that is usually the case when people have prepared photos for a slide show before they import the photos to Elements.
    For Photoshop Elements,
    - start a
    b Collection
to contain these photos for the slide show. Use Collection tab next to the Tag tab and do a New Collection.
    - in the photo well that shows all the thumbnails, look in the lower left hand corner for a pull down box and choose
    b Folder Location View
    - find the folder that contains these photos within the folder location view and multiple Select all of the photos within this folder
    - place these photos in the Collection by dragging and dropping the Collection icon on one of these selected photos. (Note all of these photos for the slide show must be selected at the same time while in the folder view) ,
    - to display just the photos of that Collection, click on the box next to the Collection name
    - select all the photos of the Collection and use the Create icon to start the slide show process.
With this process your photos then take their sequence for the slide show from the sequence of the Collection, which will actually be the file name sequence you created in that folder. (However, If you add more photos to the collection at a later time they add to the end and you will then need to drag and drop the new photos to the position you wish them to be.)
    For Premiere Elements,
Still presuming that your answers to my questions at the beginning were yes and you have a file name sequence, I think that you can add that folder to the Premiere Elements Media Panel. When you do the Create Slideshow dialog, I think that Premiere Elements uses the file name sequence to determine the sequence of the slides.
    Two general considerations
1 - whether you make the slide show in Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements, you should make the choice for default slide duration and for default transition before you start making the slide show. This is especially important for Premiere Elem where you can not do a blanket change on all slides.
2- with 500 slides, you will potentially need to downsize the resolution of your photo files before making the slide show in either product. Suggest that you post typical pixel dimensions or the megapixel resolution of your photo files. Also, what do you anticipate will be the duration of your slide show ? Will you write it to a DVD and play it on a TV?

  • Photoshop Elements 3:  Can it create latch hook rug patterns?

Can Photoshop Elements 3 create latch hook rug patterns with a digital photo?  or some other way?

Thanx for your suggestions.  I'm too busy to try them right now but in a few days........I want to create a graph pattern with each pixel its own color (maybe use symbols for the colors?) and print it out.  I'd have to print out a dozen 8.5 x 11 sheets for a decent sized rug.  Then I'd hook it onto a blank canvas.  4 strands of yarn (pixels) per inch, horizontal and vertical.  I'd like to use a digital photo.
