Photoshop Elements 10-From MAS or Adobe

I want to upgrade from Elements 6 and not sure if I should upgrade fropm Adobe or use the MAS. I don't think(?) I need the Organizer and I see there are issues with getting the correct language. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the answer on the language issue being reported. I originally bought PSE 6 directly from Adobe. No App store back then. Maybe based on the other issue Dah veed is commenting on about support issues, I should download the upgrade from Adobe. I also heard with no serial number you can't register.
I like the idea of the MAS version not having the Organizer because I use iPhoto for that. But then I've also heard users report not being able to use certain functions that are related to the Organizer such as making greeting cards.
I was happily using PSE 6 until a week ago when I opened it up and got a message that said my license ended. Adobe has not been able to resolve the license issue, even after uninstalling and then reinstalling PSE.

Due to Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer I uninstalled the program. When I re-installed Photoshop Elements 12 on the same computer the "Photoshop Elements 12.0.exe" file is not available. I have tried loading Photoshop Elements 12 from the Adobe web site

Due to Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer I uninstalled the program. When I re-installed Photoshop Elements 12 on the same computer the "Photoshop Elements 12.0.exe" file is not available. I have tried loading Photoshop Elements 12 from the Adobe web site without success.

The Elements 12 shortcut can't find the Elements12.0.exe file so the program will not load. I can load the editor from its .exe file but not the organizer.

You do know the mac version of PSE has no Organizer?
You can use file>Write Tags and Properties to File(s) on your files in the organizer before sending them to your mac to write the tags into the file's metadata, which can be read by Bridge, iphoto, aperture, etc. on the mac. (It doesn't work for raw files and it doesn't always work, so do a couple of test files first.) You'll need to make tags for categories and albums, too, in order to be able to sort by those criteria again.

Photoshop Elements 10 from the app store crashes every time I run it

I bought Photoshop Elements 10 from the app store. When I try to run it, it crashes. My macbook is brand new (bought it March, 2012), with 8GB ram and a 256SSD. Here's the report:

Hi,
Can you please confirm whether the volume on which you are installing Photoshop Elements is Case Sensitive or Case In-Sensitive? To find this out you will need to perform the following steps:
1. Launch /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app
2. Click on the Disk from the left panel (Not the Partition)
3. Click on the Partition Tab
4. Check the text that is written in the Format Tab. Is it Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled)?
If it is Case-sensitive, Journaled, then you will have to make this volume as Case-Insensitive by selecting Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as PSE is currently not supported on case sensitive volumes.

In any case it doesn't matter. I returned it to the store where I bought it.
Rule #1; Don't use a product if the people who produce that product (software, hardware, etc.) don't properly support it.
User forums and\or chat lines, are useful and may help. But! They do not constitute proper support (not for installation purposes anyway).

Have you checked whether you have folder for PSE Organizer? It is normally at this location in Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1:
<C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer>
If the folder is there then try double-clicking on the file called: PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
If the folder isn't there at all then you need to re-install the package again using your original disks or from download from Adobe website. <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>

if you have a problem downloading, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

If you have a CD for your product (I assume that is where you got the serial number from!!) then you can insert it in the drive on your new machine and install it in the usual way.
If the new machine hasn't got a CD/DVD drive then you can use another machine and copy the contents of the CD to a flash drive and use the USB port on the new machine to install the product.
Of course you can buy an external DVD drive and use it as well if that is what you want to do.
If, however, you don't have a CD for your product then I am afraid it is difficult to download it from Adobe website.
