Photoshop Elements 10 - no organiser

Hi - Just bought elements 10 but it doesn't seem to have organiser in it, can anyone help please as I really want to use it?

If you bought PSE from the Mac app store, you bought "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor", i.e., only the editor without the organizer. The app store page does say this, but it's pretty well hidden, only visible if you click More and do a lot of reading.
If you really want the organizer, use the report a problem link in your receipt to arrange for a refund and buy it elsewhere.

  • Photoshop elements 10 & iTunes 10.7

    Hi
I'am useing photoshop elements 10 to organise my photos on my iMac.
I'am want to syncronise the potos with my iPad. In the internet I read that it is possible to choose the photoshop element albums.
But I do not finde this butten in the option of the photo syncronise. I can olny choose iPhoto or file.
    Can someboy help me?
    Thanks

Same problem here.  Someone else in this thread suggested the problemwas solved by downloading the latest iTunes but the iTunes check says I havethe latest (10.5.1).
What is really frustrating is spending an hour on the phone with Apple, whosay "we don't know the solution, it must be an Adobe problem, we don'tsupport Adobe, call Adobe tech support".  I pointed out that theiTunes software suggests Photoshop Elements as a sync option, so obviously theiTunes developers intended to support Elements, but the tech support staff thisevening apparently cannot see why they should care.  I asked Evan (no lastname given), the senior tech I was eventually transferred to, to at least sendme an e-mail saying they couldn't or wouldn't help me, so I could show thee-mail to the support staff at Adobe, but he said they were not allowed to sende-mails.  I pressed him and he said he'd check, and after 10 minutes onhold hung up on me.  I'd heard Apple phone support was good but that's not my experience.

  • Cannot access Editor part of Photoshop Elements 13

Just bought and installed Photoshop Elements 13. Organiser works fine but when attempting to use Editor it asks for sign in and then tries to connect to internet and fails although connection is fine otherwise.

I still have no answers to this request and still have no access to Editor part of Elements 13. Some weeks have passed now since purchasing this product and still unable to use it. Tried the chat support from Adobe but after 55 min and only basic questions being asked after 5-15min response delays, I was forced to end the chat. When I tried to resume the chat some days later I was told that they were assisting other users!!

  • Organise with iPhoto,  Edit with Photoshop Elements, but avoid destructive editing

    Hi All,
I prefer to use iPhoto as my photo organiser and for sharing to Facebook and Flickr, but I also prefer to use Photoshop Elements (v11) as my editor. iPhoto is configured to launch PSE for editing and it works fine. My question relates to doing non-destructive saves back into iPhoto. It appears as though I cannot have version control because doing a save overwrites the original file in iPhoto. Although I can chose to save an edited version of my image elsewhere on my MacBook I would prefer to have orginal and saved versions colocated. Is there anyway around this issue or do I have to use PSE Organiser to have version control?
I like being able to Flag a bunch of photos in iPhoto, go to the Flagged folder to share them, and the way iPhoto displays shared folders uploaded to Facebook and Flickr. PSE Organiser seems a bit convoluted.
    Thanks.

Take a look at Aperture - with it you can have versions and many people have reported that its editing is robust enough that they seldom if ever use PS or PSE anymore - maybe that would give you the editing power you wnat with the nondestructive editing of Aperture and version control

  • Lightroom 2 and Photoshop Elements 6 Organiser

    Hi:-)
I have had a look at a friend's set up with Lightroom and CS3, and I have decided to use Lightroom myself.
However, at present I do not use, (and do not intend to use!) CS3, and instead use Photoshop Elements 6.0. My editing skills are limited, and Elements offers what I need for my RAW files. I prefer the workflow and categorising facilities of Lightroom, which is why I am buying it.
My question is, can I easily convert my existing PSE 6.0 catalog into Lightroom, or perhaps it will automatically subsume it? I would prefer to discontinue the PSE Organiser, but retain the Editor function. I think they are 2 separate programs, but would welcome anybody's opinion as to whether this is likely to cause me problems.
    Many thanks
    Alan

You can migrate the PSE6 catalog into Lightroom 2. Here's the help

  • Bug - Subfolder naming issue in Photoshop Elements 10 Organiser

Upgraded to the latest version of Photoshop Elements and very dissapointed that Adobe have introduced a bug.
For European users, Photoshop Organiser 10 creates sub folders in the format yyyy dd mm.
Should use the format yyyy mm dd as with previous versions.
The only workaround I have found is to display photo dates using preferences to US format mm dd yyyy
    This is unacceptable.
I understand that Adobe have no plans to release a bug fix
I personally am going to use Windows to import my photos in future and won't be rushing to upgrade!

    Hi,
Have you added your name to the list
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/photo_downloader_on_os_x_uses_wrong_ shot_date_for_jpeg_files
I know it says OS X but various similar reports seem to have been merged in with it - if the count gets very high then that should encourage Adobe to do somthing about it.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 Organiser does not start from the welcome screen

Having installed Photoshop Elements 11(Windows 7)  I cannot open the Organiser from the welcome screen. It can be opened via the Editor but few of the thumbnails are shown as pictures rather as empty squares. The situation does not improve with time but tends to get worse with pictures turning into squares. I have tried the tip with preferences but to no avail. I would be very grateful for some help. Best Regards Ian Tomlinson

Try pressing Ctrl+A (to select all thumbnails) and then refresh again (Edit >> Update Thumbnails for selected items). If that makes no difference you may need to regenerate the cache.
It may be worth rebuilding the thumbnail cache before re-installing. Click the menu:
Help >> System info to find the path to your catalog.
    1. Close Organizer.
    2. Navigate to C: ProgramData/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Catalogs/My Catalog
    3. Find the file - thumb.5.cache
    4. Highlight the file and delete it.
    5. Re-start Elements Organizer
    6. Wait until all thumbnails have been generated.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 Organiser Advice please

Hi My 1st Post here and I hope its not a
    daft 1 lol.
Ok I am very pleased with Elements 8 editor but cannot for the life of me get the organiser to work properly but having had a look around on here I think I may have found my answer but as I am unsure will ask the question anyway.
The organiser at best works intermittently. it takes an age to load up and then as soon as I try to do much with it I get the busy sign up. But here I think is the possible cause I shoot with a Canon 7D which is an 18mp Camera and I shoot RAW. So is that my Problem? If so I am dissapointed as the free google piccasa software shows me all my RAW files with a slight delay as it processes the image if I am viewing full size but has no problems showing all as thumbnails instantly.I would have thought an Adobe product under the Photoshop banner would have been superior ? The editor is light years ahead of anything else I have owned so it was money well spent but please oh please can I use the organiser as well? Or do I have to go back and find one?
    Thanks for reading this

  • How to move photos to external harddrive with Photoshop Elements Organiser 9 - Mac user

I have managed to move a few photos using the organiser to an external harddrive as a trial but noticed that the photos are all stored straight onto the external harddrive and not kept in the subfolders that they are in on my harddrive. Is there a way to keep them in the subfolders - which is basically mostly folders indicating the date they were taken?
I also noticed that PSE 9 organiser is very slow - I have a lot of photos and a lot in raw - about 21000. Is it better to use LR to catalogue them?
Last question, has anyone else experienced problems since upgrading to Mavericks when using PSE9? Is there a fix? I read that upgrading to Yosemite has improved how PSE9 works but after my previous experience with upgrading to Mavericks I am not in a rush to upgrade.
    Thanks

  • Photoshop elements 8 organiser is either corrupt or version is out of date & cannot be updated

Can anyone help please? Purchased software on 9 Feb. Catalogue was fine at first but was unable to open it yesterday. Unable to repair it in catalogue manager. Have uninstalled and re-installed it 2 or 3 times but organiser still will not launch.

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Organizer and Editor and that will bypass the welcome screen and any advertising.
On Windows right click on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
    Select it and click OK
    Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
    Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.

  • Photoshop Elements 6 - Organiser Hangs - XP

For the last couple of months, when I open the Organiser it just hangs and I have to force it to shut down. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
    Glen

    John,
I tried running this. Here are the results:
    psedbtool version 1.03
    Opening catalog C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\Catalogs\Main\catalog.psedb
    Photoshop Elements version: 6
    Total files : 560
    Total files missing : 0
    Total files offline : 0
    PSE Volume Table
Path used by PSE : C:
    Status : online
    Total files : 560
    Total files missing : 0
    Description : C:
    Serial : 3CFF-D4D2
    Drive_path_if_builtin: C:
    Type : builtin_drive
    Id : 104
    Windows Drives
    Drive Type Serial Path
    A: removable_drive 0000-0000
    C: builtin_drive 3CFF-D4D2
    D: readonly_drive 0000-0000
Unfortunately, doesn't seem to shed any light. Main issue is that PSE only sees 560 jpg files, but I have many more that it won't import.
BTW, here's the error message that I get (most recently when trying to import a single jpg file that I know is not in the Catalog):
"Nothing was imported. The file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types, or the files are already in this Catalog"

  • Organiser Photoshop Elements 10

How do you compare two images in the Organiser in Photoshop Elements 10 please

The easiest method is to have the two images stacked together or side by side in Organizer. Then temporarily close the right hand panel by clicking on the three small dots. Then drag the thumbnail slider almost fully to the right until you see only two images displayed.
Or do you mean an image you are editing so you can see a before and after view, before saving?
You can do that in Quick Edit by clicking the dropdown menu at the bottom the main edit window.
