Photoshop elements 10 - win 8.1 compatible?

Are Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Windows 8.1 compatible?  Will it install correctly?
Similar question: Is Adobe Acrobat Pro X compatible with windows 8.1?

Hello,
I am just a user and maybe I can help.
If you are installing EL10 on a new computer, make sure you deactivated EL10 on the old computer.
uninstalling the software will show a box(deactivate), so make sure the box is (X) marked.

  • Photos = Adobe Photoshop Elements (Win-XP) capability / restrictions?

a-TV supposedly can sync with Adobe Photoshop Elements on Windows for its photo library. Which Elements 5.0 features are supported and will show/play right via the a-TV, and which are restricted?
    e.g.
    - Can I create slideshows in Elements?
    - Have the same photo in multiple slideshows?
    - Use multiple tags per photo to group into slideshows?
    - Use Elements Pan / Zoom / Text in slideshows?
I don't have Elements (use the MS suite), but would switch over for a-TV. Any bad experiences with Elements, particularly the photo Organizer tools?
    Thanks

I have Elements and consider myself a basic to intermediate user. I took all my 4k plus photos and put them into categories (ie, Christmas 2002, 2003, 1st Birthday, Trip to XYZ, etc). This took several hours but proved to be well worth it as the ATV picks these categories up. I do wish the ATV could let you see thumbnails of your folders in case I am looking for a particular picture but the categories is what I mainly use anyway. Now when I load pics from my camera to my pc I just immediately put them in a category or two. I'm not sure about slideshows as the categories accomplished the same thing. I think you can pick the same photo for multiple categories. Events does not seem to be recognized by ATV.

  • Is Photoshop Elements 9 or later compatible with Windows 8 32- or 64-bit?

What versions of Photoshop Elements work on Windows 8 64bit?
I have PE 9 and it does not seem to work. The editor appears to load and work. The organizer loads but is missing some of the menu options. It appears to be incompatiable.
I know the adobe site says PE11 works but does mention 32bit or 64 bit. How about PE10?

  • Import photos from adobe photoshop elements (win) to Iphoto 08

    Hi,
I just got an imac and I want to import my old photos and adobe photoshop element tags from my windows machine. I want to keep the tags the same. Does any one have any suggestions?
    -D

Yes, use File>Write tags and properties to file and Elements should pick up the metadata keywords this creates. However, if you have raw files or tiffs from an epson scanner, the metadata creation can be unreliable.

  • Is Photoshop elements 6 and 8 compatible with Mac OSX 10.10 Yosemite

Is Photoshop 6 and 8 compatible with Mac OSX 10.10 Yosemite

I've been running both without problems, but haven't used them that extensively. So far there haven't been any reports of major problems here.

  • IPhone 2.0 software now compatible with Photoshop Elements 6?

While the current software is compatible with earlier versions of Photoshop Elements, it is not compatible with Elements 6 since Abobe changed their database (nor longer using Access). I notice that the specs on iPhone 3G say compatible with Photoshop Elements.
Can anyone confirm that means Elements 6?

However, to be fair, while there may be savings to be had, your company would have to replace existing phones with iPhones and tie everyone into one carrier (which accross a multi-office environment may not be practical, due to coverage issues). The iPhone does not offer the level of encryption available to a Blackberry/RIM handset, or the ability to enforce security policies on handsets, which may be a concern to your IT and Security people. It also misses some useful features (such as searching email for words/phrases. This is a feature I use regularly on my Blackberry, and I'm disappointed to not find it on my iPhone. ). And there is the whole, One Vendor issue that may worry some (you can connect non-RIM, e.g. Nokia, etc, phones to your BES providing the phone supports the required blackberry software).
I've got to say, as much as I love my iPhone (and I'm personally migrating from my blackberry to it) I don't think I'd recommend it as an enterprise phone.... yet... It's still got a way to go. As a personal+business phone, I'm giving it a shot (as the personal side is quite good). My current employer is a small company, with no BES, so I use my carrier's BIS, and get by with it. As such, the calendar+contacts sync available through mobileMe is a plus . If I was planning IT direction for a larger organisation though, I'd be considering the iPhone (if for no other reason than an excuse to play with one ), but I wouldn't be preparing a migration just yet!

  • Photoshop Elements 11 update compatible with Maverick?

Is there an update for Photoshop Elements 11 that is compatible with Mac OS X 10.9.2. I have been dealing with Apple for several days and we have had to factory reset my entire computer as it would randomly shut off while working on projects. Now the only application I have installed is Photoshop elements 11. It has slowed my computer down drastically. Like dial up slow. I don't want to buy another software since this one isnt that old. Any help would be appreciated. I have a few deadlines coming.

    Hi,
As you have stated that you already have Camera Raw 7.4 installed, the other reason you can't read the files could be that you have corrupted them by using old Nikon software to download the files.
    Please see if this helps.

  • Is Photoshop Elements 11 compatible with OSX Yosemite?

I want to know whether or not I should install the new OSX Yosemite update. I won't install the update if Photoshop Elements 11 isn't compatible with it. I've looked online and I can't find any reference to this yet, so I thought I should ask. Does anybody know? Also, if it isn't going to be compatible, will my .psd files that I created using Photoshop Elements 11 be compatible with other, newer Photoshop programs?

I've looked online and I can't find any reference to this yet
    Really? Try:
Photoshop Elements doesn't respond when you use editing tools in Mac OS X 10.10
    and
    http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/photoshop-elements-hangs-in-yosemite
for starters. So no, not entirely compatible. I would hold off on 10.10 if you want to keep using PSE 11 until at least 10.10.1 and then wait to see if it fixes the problems. In any case, the Graphic Novel and Comic filters have been making PSE crash since 10.9, so you'd lose those, at least, even if the other problems get fixed.

  • Is there an upgrade to Photoshop Elements 5.0 for use with Windows 8?

Is there an upgraded to Photoshop Elements 5.0 for use with Windows 8?

yes, photoshop elements 11 should be compatible with win 8 and there is an upgrade path here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html

  • Pixelmator vs. Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

    Hello,
I didn't find good category for this post so I will write here. I need small help in choosing graphic editing program. Now I work on old version of Photoshop Elements 4. It's quite good because it is compatible with psd (more or less depends on type of layer from full version of Photoshop), and work fine. But it has many basic functions that not allowed user to make their own adjustments like for example you can't choose exactly how big border or shadow you want in px (only ready small/medium/high versions).
I would like to change this software to something new with more flexible options. I'm thinking about upgrade of Elements to version 6 or buy Pixelmator. On one hand:
    Photoshop Elements 6
+ quite good compatible with psd
    - price compare with Pixelmator
I don't know if they allowed user to have more adjustable options?
    On other hand:
    Pixelmator:
    + price
+ more flexible options to use in borders, shadows etc.
    - I heard that there are small problems with opening psd
I would be glad if someone will write a little bit about those two programs and help to make decision.
    Best Regards
    Peter

I have bee doing my homework on the same comparison. I would like to one day be able to spring for Adobe CS4 Extended however it's rather hard to cough up the funds. I have used Gimp a lot but, I'm thinking CS4 will actually out do Gimp.
So did you swing for one or the other, if so what are your thoughts ?

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements V9 to new computer?

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements V9 at my home Windows7 computer. I bought home a new Windows 8.1 computer and I need to use the software in this new computer. Can I install the same licence to the new or what to do?

    Hi! Thanks for your aswers!
I have  now found 2 compatibility information about Photoshop Elements V9 and Windows 8.1
    - Adobe: only versions 12 -13 are competible with W8.1 (System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements )
    - Microsoft: V9 is compatible with W8.1 ( Windows 8.1 compatibility for Adobe Photoshop Elements version 9)
    so ??
If V9 is compatible with W8.1, can I install the SW without uninstalling it from my W7-Computer?

  • Error starting PhotoShop Elements 2 under Rosetta on 10.6

First, yes, I know that Elements 2 is quite old. But, I've been using it under Tiger on my PowerPC for years. I do plan to purchase CS 5 in the near future. But, for now, I'm using Elements 2.
Just installed Rosetta on my new iMac. I'd like to run Photoshop Elements 2. When I try to run it, I get some errors in my logs:
    +Apr 6 20:51:33 imacman /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Support/LaunchCFMApp[452 8]: launch failed with error code -2857 (cfragCFragRsrcErr) for application /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2/Photoshop Elements 2.0/Contents/MacOS/Photoshop Elements 2.0+

So, who can decipher the above and explain what might be the problem.
    Thanks.

Unfortunately, Photoshop Elements 2 is not compatible with 10.6 (or 10.5, for that matter). You will need to upgrade to a later version for 10.6.
