Photoshop Elements 10 won't download on Mac OSX

I cannot download Photoshop Elements 10 on my Mac OSX. I've tried both methods (Akami and regular file download to my computer) several times. Near the end of the download, it either restarts or I get a "failed" error message. What am I doing wrong?

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 doesn't install on Mac OSX 10.10.2

Long story short: reinstalled OSX 10.10.2, lost Adobe Photoshop 11 in the process. Tried to reinstall the program via direct download via Adobe and various websites, as well tried to install via disc, only to receive the error: Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. Is there anyway to get this program that I purchased to work on this? Or am I doomed to update?

I have Photoshop Elements 12 for both PC and Mac (I use both). I have a new camera, Nikon D810. I downloaded the latest version of Camera Raw, 8.8. My D810 is listed as a supported camera model. However, when I try to open a raw photo in Photoshop Elements, I keep getting the message "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. I have tried reinstalling Camera Raw many times, and have tried to open many different raw files in Elements, and still get the same error message. Please help.

How did you try to install ACR 8.8.  The only way I know of that works with Elements is to use the Updates Choice on the Help menu.
There are two charts supplied by Adobe that explain your RAW dilemma.  This one tells you what your camera needs:  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html   This one tells you what version of software you need:  http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
In your case, the Nikon D810 needs Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.6 or Lightroom 5.6.  (Congratulations on buying a new camera!)
To get to that level with Photoshop Elements, you will need to replace your Photoshop Elements 12 with version 13.   Adobe caps ACR updates on version 12 at 8.5.
The most convenient way to get around it without spending any money is to use the FREE from Adobe DNG Converter.  Download and install it from here for FREE:  http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5855&fileID=5890  Once it is installed you can convert your D810 raw files to an Adobe RAW version with the .DNG file extension that most, if not all, versions of the various Adobe software programs can use.  That includes old versions of Photoshop, Elements and Lightroom.  DNG converter can be used as the tool to move your files from your memory card to your computer, is efficient, will convert in batches and is completely lossless.  There is no risk of any image quality degradation or RAW functionality.

  • I use a Nikon d610 and my Photoshop Elements 10 won't open in camera raw. How can I fix it? The camera version is 6.7.0339

i'm using a Nikon D610 now and Photoshop Elements 10 won't open files in camera raw. How can I fix the issue? The version of camera raw is 6.7.0339

    Hi,
The D610 requires camera raw 8.3 which is not compatible with your PSE 10.
You need to upgrade to PSE 12 (or later) or use the free Adobe DNG converter. The converter will take a flder containg your NEF files and converte them to DNG files. The DNG files can then be used by PSE 10.

  • Organizer in Photoshop Elements 9 won't import large NEF files

Photoshop Elements 9 won't import the NEF fiels from my new Nikon D800.

Yes, the camera is too new for PSE9. You will have to either:
    Upgrade to PSE11
Download the free Adobe DNG Converter Version 7.3 and use that to convert your NEFs to DNGs, and then PSE9 will be able to import them
Use the Nikon software to convert the file to TIF, then import into PSE.

  • Photoshop Elements 9 won't update, including camera raw

I have Elements 9.  It currently has camera raw 6.1.  I need at least 6.3.  I have tried EVERYTHING to download the updates and they don't work and after downloading them, they say they fail.
Essentially, when I go to "Help" and run the "Updates" provided by Adobe, they all fail.
I just want to edit my raw photos on my nikon d3100.
I bought this product, you should provide updates that actually work.  If you tell me that my camera will only work with a product that I yet have to pay $70 for...  I will be ticked.

Photoshop Elements 6 is ancient software which is unlikely to run on your MacBook Air.
You can upgrade to Photoshop Elements 11 for the US$79.99 upgrade price if you still have your PSE6 serial number.

    Hi Zach.
Sorry to say but Elements 12 came out several months before your camera. Adobe stops updating camera raw files for old software editions so that people have to buy new versions of the software when they get a new camera. It happened to me with LR3 when I got a new camera.
There are works rounds but they are a lot of extra steps and I think you would be converting the files to Some format other than RAW (tiff?) and which I am not sure will perform the same.
I think you just need to get a newer version of Elements.

I just purchased a camera packaged with Adobe photoshop Elements 11. I have a mac book air- which does not have a cd drive. The package did not come with a code or anything that would provide me with another way to install photoshop that came with my camera. Is there any other way i can install this on my camera without using the provided cd or buying the software again?

That doesn't help the user with the serial code though.
There has to be some kind of code somewhere within the package. The disk itself does not contain one. You can look here for help with finding your serial number:
