Photoshop Elements 11 disc not recognised by Computer running Windows 8

Have tried 2 discs having returned the first one thinking it was faulty. All my other discs are fine but the computer just does not see this one can anyone help ?

Tried that it shows the drive icon but no dvd. Double clicking just opens the drive drawer with a prompt to insert a disc. Just tried the disc in another computer running an older version of Windows and it read it ok so its not the disc!

You should probably just download the trial version of pse 12 and see if you can live with it.
Download a free trial or buy Adobe products | Adobe downloads
That being said, have you tried to install pse 1 on your computer?
How much free space is on your hard drive?
Do you have Internet Explorer 10 or 11?
Pse 1 can run on windows 7 x64, provided certain conditions are met.

Photoshop CS4 Ex. disc not accepted by computer

Hi, I've just tried to mount DVD Photoshop CS4 extended but my Mac pro 2x2.66 GHz Dual- Core Intel, running Mac OS X version 10.5.8, will not accept it. The disc is ejected.
Other applications on DVD are accepted so the problem cannot be the internal disc reader.
Any suggestions?

No, I mean stuff like e.g. Nik software - Silver efex pro. Strange
though, the CS4 app mounts on my Macbook with same OS .
Exactly the same thing with CS4 In Design. The disc just clicks away
and is ejected.
Both Adobe products are for the Mac, not Windows.
These were brand new products - just opened the packages this morning.
Perhaps it is something wrong with the drive - but why will it open
other disks?

Photoshop elements 12 trial not recognising .psd created

Hi, We've created and saved a .psd file using a trial version of elements 12. However, when we have tried to reopen the files again - n.b. the files have been closed and reopened previously- we get an error message. "could not complete this request because this file is not compatible with this version of elements". On opening another .psd we created, the message is "could not complete your request because an unexpected end of file was encountered." The files have not been changed in anyway since created with elements 12 nor have the filenames/extensions. Please advise. thanks.

Problems downloading Photoshop Elements 9 software to my new computer using Windows 8

Can someone please assist me in getting my software to work on my new computer.
I have installed the disc...... almost at the end of installation the computer froze and eventually after a couple of hours, I removed the disc and interupted the installation. I switched the computer off and restarted. I then tried to uninstall.... but then was prompted to put the disc back in to unistall, but the program looked like it was trying to install again!
Eventually after waiting for about half an hour, nothing was happening and i have given up. I just want to use my software!
i then went into the Control Panel>All control panel Items>troubleshooting> selected> system and security> fix problems with windows update - now I can actually open the photoshop version.... but when I trying to do something to the photo, an error appeared and shut down the photoshop!
Basically can I use this software with my new windows 8 computer? If not is it possible to download and pay for an upgraded version so I can use with Windows 8?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Photoshop Elements 11 disc and download will not work

I have spent 3 days trying to get photoshop 11 to install on my new computer (using windows 8) My disc seems to mysteriously be missing its setup file which makes no sense at all. I need to have this up and running soon as I use it for work as well as personal use. I also am concerned about having downloaded it several times now. If you open the Organizer and go to Edit>Preferences>Camera or Card Reader, do you have Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect checked?
Try checking that if you don't.

My windows 7 will not install my photoshop elements 7 disc when I insert it.
I tried double clicking the DVD rom drive but it just ejects the disc.

Googled for an instruction sheet. Got the following.

In any case it doesn't matter. I returned it to the store where I bought it.
Rule #1; Don't use a product if the people who produce that product (software, hardware, etc.) don't properly support it.
User forums and\or chat lines, are useful and may help. But! They do not constitute proper support (not for installation purposes anyway).
