my os is windows 7 pro 64bit sp1.

I followed solution 1 to 3 on the page you suggested precisely, however it did not help me.
I am having the same message for every attempt.
Only changes so far are that I have become familiar with msconfig and regedit. In addition, my .net framework has been updated to the latest version in the process.

My Photoshop Elements 7 stopped working. Error message; "A prpoblem caused theis program to stop working correctly. Windows will clsoe the program and notify you if a solution is available. How can I repair?
Start PSE to get to the Welcome screen.
Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys and click Organize. Keep holding down the keys until you see the Catalog window.
Select your catalog and click Repair. Select “repair anyway” even if PSE doesn’t find problems.
Then for good measure, click Optimize.
If repairing resolves your issue then fine else repeat the above steps, but click New to create a new catalog. If you’re able to import photos into the new catalog and the Organizer works fine, then problem can be old catalog.
In that case you can try regenerating the thumbnails. Do Show All, Edit > Select All, and then Edit > Update Thumbnail.
-Check if AutoAnalyzer.exe is running in your task manager. End the task and try.

I have photoshop premiere element 10 editor and organizer and I have a Macbook pro 10,9,9
When I try to open a picture with element editor or if I try to open PS editor directly I see this

PhotoShop Elements 11 stopped importing Adobe PDF files recently. Everything looks the same until the file opens and is just a transparent background. Can anyone offer advice on how to fix this?

Photoshop Elements 13 stopped downloading to my OS 10.9.5 before completion. How do I get it to finish?
I called Apple tech support. The device turns out to be a WiFi extender. I never would have guessed that the extender would show up on the list since I wouldn't think of it as an airplay device, and in the list, it shows a little speaker icon. In the process of talking with Apple, I gained a greater understanding of how airplay works.
It turns out that there is no stored list of devices in a file on the mac, or anywhere else. I have seen a lot of traffic on the web from people trying to modify this list, but there isn't one. iTunes, and other devices simply poll the network for airplay devices from time to time.

Photoshope Elements 11 Stops Working
Photoshop Elements 11 stops working after it opens the organizer. This is after I imported pics / movies from my cell phone which caused it to crash. Any suggestions?
No. The program stops working a few seconds after the Organizer opens up.
The only reason I brought up importing photos is because this problem started after I tried to import photos directly from my cell phone. The first time I tried to import photos from my phone, I connected the phone via USB. Then I used the "Get Photos" feature in Organizer and selected the drive which showed up corresponding to the phone. Unfortunately, I think it downloaded items that were not photos or videos. It crashed during the attempt to import. When the organizer opens up I have a few seconds to see my photos and there are a few that look like bar codes and rainbow colors. I am concerned that the program downloaded files from the phone that are causing the problem.
I searched through my photo folders looking for bad files but could not find any. I uninstalled and reinstalled Elements an the problem persists. -
Photoshop Elements agent stops when synchronizing with Revel.
I have a Macbook Pro with Photoshop Elements 13 and Adobe Revel. When I try to upload to Revel the agent stops at the stage downloading. Everything is OK when updating.

Installation of Photoshop Elements 7 stops, then deinstalls before registration
Hi Forum,
I wanted to install my Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 again on my PC (Windows 8.1).
It already worked on this PC, but it stopped working because a .dll was missing and it said it could be fixed with reinstalling the Program.
But now, when I want to install everything starts fine. I agree to the terms of licence, I can confirm where it should be installed and I can type in my serial number.
Then it starts installing. When it comes to registration it stops and deinstalls everything again.
Then a window pops up telling me that the process was disrupted before ending and I should try again, if I want to end the installation.
Photoshop is definitly not on my PC anymore, so it can not be, that the old version is causing a conflict withe the new installation.
I do not know anymore what .dll it wanted and I dont know how to find out now.
Can somebody help?

plei123try running the cleaner, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 to see if it can find anything to remove.
install using compatibility mode and right click the setup file and click 'run as administrator'. -
Adobe photoshop elements 11 stopped working.
Photoshop elements 11 suddendly stopped working. I have worked with the program the last couples of years and never had a issue until now.
I have not change any settings in my computer. Windows 7 (64).
I have read in other forums, it may be caused by a windows update or antivirus. What do I need to do to have my software work again? I would really appreciate if you can help me resolving this issue.I have exactly the same problem. After useing Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for more than a year, I get the same error message after I chose the edit option. I have not used the program in a few weeks, so I cannot guess what other program was updated that might have affected the performace of Photoshop. But, Photoshop does work in Safe Mode. So, there is something that suddendly is in conflict. Unfortunately for me, the first things I tried were to remove and reinstall Photoshop a few times. Now my restore system option of Win7 is not available for a date far enough in history to get Photoshop to work again. I have removed all software that used to open at Startup. I have tried to open Photoshop as an administrator and also with various compatibility settings to now avail. I have checked the installation logs and there are no errors.
Seeing that the prevous forum post is from February 2014, I am assuming that no one viewing this forum is going to help me with this problem either, but I can try to remain optimistic. I'm out of other options for getting help. I'm not excited by the idea of reinstalling all my software again and the hours of my time that will take, especially when I don't even know that this will help. -
Elements Organizer (photoshop elements 11) stops working and shuts the program down.
I have had Photoshop Elements for several years - first used version 3 then 8 (lost in the 2010 Nashville Flood) bought 9 last year) - then 11 purchased in Dec 2012.
I had trouble installing 11 (Premier and photoshop kept locking up in the install process) finally installed after 8 hours of problems when I did a clean boot uninstalled Virus protection etc.
Very Frustrating. Installing on HP Pavilion purchased after the flood - 3gigs ram - windows 7 operating system. I have over 2000 pics and HD video clips on the hard drive and during the final installation the files were (converted) according to the install

I've been unable to use the new Organizer since it shuts down. Tried several times over several days with the same results.
Today I transfered a number of photos (jpeg) from Zip drive to the hard drive - followed the instructions on page 9 of the all too brief booklet and
- the pics came up on the screen --HOORAY
UNFORTUNATELY THE CELEBRATION WAS PREMATURE - Organizer stopped AGAIN HELP!!!1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Organizer.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete settings file; click Yes. It will open with default preferences.
Solution 3:

Please delete the following files from the location : C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\9.0\Organizer
psa.prf
status.dat
Now go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 9 Organizer\ and run the exe PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe with Admin rights.
If you are on MAC, you will get the files psa.prf and status.dat at ~/library/app support/adobe/elements organizer/9.0/organizer. Post deleting them try launching Organizer.

Photoshop Elements Organizer stops working
I just installed Photoshop Elements 12 and when I open the Organizer, I get a message that the program has stopped working and is going to close, while the Editor is still operational. I uninstalled Elements 10 before my new installation. How can I fix this?
It might work but this is not a practical solution.
I have many picture folders on my pc and several of these have AVC files.
My intention was to use Photo Shop Essentials to edit my pictures. Unfortunately the "Organizer" app crashes when trying to work with my Catalog.
I have narrowed it down to only happening when there are AVC files in my folders. I have seen others have this issue and I found the issue by what they recommended.
Sadly if I am unable to get this to work with my current folders I will have to dump Essentials for another application. -

thank youFor Photoshop Elements Disc 1 contains the install files. If you leave the check mark checked for installing the Premiere Elements trial it will prompt you to insert Disc 2. If the installation is still running though it will not allow you to eject Disc 1.
If you have installed Photoshop Elements from Disc 1 then you have everything you need. There is no need to insert Disc 2 except to install the trial of Premiere Elements. -
My Photoshop elements 11 stopped working app store purchase
I purchased photoshop 11 from the app store and it has stopped working. It crashes during load. (See the code below). I have tried uninstalling and reinstaling. And it did not fix the issue. I found a few others having the same problem with app store purchase but never see a resolution. I downloaded the Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 trial from the Adobe website and it works without an issue. Can anyone help me with this?

While you are in there go to the Saved Application States folder and delete anything pertaining to PSE.
Repair permissions and try again. -
Photoshop Elements 8 stopped working, won't run even after reinstall
I'm using Vista. I installed a couple weeks ago and it's been working fine until today. On startup I keep getting the message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I worked my way through most of the troubleshooting guide and when I couldn't find the preferences file to rename I figured it might be "lost" and I should just uninstall and reinstall, but that didn't fix it, it still won't start. I really need this program and it was a lot of money (for me). Getting frustrated! Anyone?
I am having the same problem and tried calling tech support was on hold for an hour and a half its
driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Did an online chat which was no help what so ever.
If I find out something I will let you know for sure... -
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Stops Working?
I recently activated Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from my brand new tablet bundle. The first few times it would work and I had fun fiddling around with a new editting program. Now though, every time I attempt to open the editting program it loads up then immediately says it has stopped working, and all I can do is close it. I am running a Windows 7 64 bit HP Pavillion g series laptop. Any help on this issue? I would like to start using my new toy.
Quit the editor, then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.
