Photoshop Elements 11 Intall Help

Hi,
I've just download photoshop elements 11 and having no luck trying to install it. Download was fine, no errors, however nothing happens when I attempt to run the program or open the file. Restart makes no difference. Haven't found anything yet on this forum that has helped!

Did you unzip the download folder to extract the files. Then double click on setup?

Greetings: I am not able to access help from the HELP file in PhotoShop Elements 5.0. Message says I need file ahc.exe and suggests that I browse for it. If I search for it on the Internet, all I see are offers of help which require me to signup and pay for this file. Recommendations? Happy Holidays,

What version of windows are you using and is it a 32 or 64 bit system?
Did the help ever work?
The help application for pse 5 should be in:
(if you open the folder you should see the ahc.exe)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Help Center on a 64 bit system
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Help Center on a 32 bit system

Adobe photoshop elements 11 issue help.....Please

My adobe photoshop element 11 has been working great since I have installed for awhile now....all of a sudden one day...when I used the day before with no problems....it wont open now....gives me a runtime error and wants to shutdown....what is this ...and how do I fix ????

.jpg extension in Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 please help

I am currently using Photoshop
Elements 7. When I went to save a photo, the .jpg extension has been dropped in the save as
dialog box. The only option I have is JPG 2000. I have installed the most recent update to Adobe. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the extension is still not there. I have gone to the patch area, reviewed the forums, and can not find a fix. Is there a place in photoshop where I could have turned off the option? Or is there a patch/update I have not seen? Thank you in advance for the help!

What type of file is your source file? Make sure it's no more than 8 bit.
If using layers e.g. to add adjustments or text you fist need to click layers > Flatten Image and then save.
It’s possible the image is just too big - try to re-size.

Unable to download Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, please help?

Hi,
I am unable to download Photoshop 13. I have bought it and have an activation code but the download just isn't happening.
It starts to run, so I click 'Open/Run' when it appears on the bottom downloads bar, then nothing happens.
Even when I go in the downloads folder on my pc and select the download itself in there, nothing happens.
I have plenty of memory on my laptop as most of my stuff is on my external hardrive.
Norton antivirus keeps telling me it is safe so it isn't being blocked by an antivirus program.
I am really confused, please help.

Photoshop Elements 2.0 Help Please!

I just installed Photoshop Elements 2.0 and when I go to open it I get an error message saying that the program "Could not initialize Photoshop Elements because the scratch disks are full. This is definately NOT because of my computer's processing power, which runs off of XP has 3 Gigs of ram a 1.5TB hard drive (for my C: drive) and runs off of a 3.2 GHz microprocessor (so it's fairly speedy). I used to have photoshop on my old drive, now my backup (D:) drive, but I recently uninstalledit and reinstalled the program, using the disc, onto my new drive. I've tried cleaning up (using CCleaner) and defragmenting my drive, but nothing seems to work. Please help me out here.

P.S. I don't know if this is an occuring problem on any of the other editions of Elements, but if it is, I'm sure it can probably be solved in the same way, so even if you don't have the 2.0 edition, any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Elements 2 is a very old program but you need to ask in the Elements forum.

Photoshop elements 10 install help

I recently bought Photoshop elements 10. I have tried installing on my desktop and it won't read it and is treating the disc as if it were blank. I put the cd in my laptop and my laptop ran it fine and was allowing me to install. I have deleted and updated everything adobe to see if this is the issue. If anyone could give me some help it would be appreciated

Copying the files from "program files" won't help. You need to copy the installer files from the cd.
As pointed out by 99jon, follow the procedure:
Go to "My computer" of your desktop and choose to view the content of the cd after putting the disc in
copy everything in the disc to a thumb drive
insert the thumb drive into your laptop and run the file "setup.exe" from your thumb drive. It should install the PSE10 to your laptop.
If you can not follow the above process, you can download the PSE10 instalation files from http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-10-direct-download-links-pse-premiere-pre.htm l on your laptop and install. Just a word of caution, the installer is huge(1.5 Gb). So it would take a while to get downloaded

Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 need help?

I just install my Adobe Photoshop Element 11 and did all the process, serial number, registered and when I click install, nothing happen?

We need more information in order to be able to help.
What operating system are you using?
Did you install from DVD or from a download?
Do you get any error messages?
Have you tried rebooting your computer and trying again?
Can you please confirm that it is Photoshop Elements that you are trying to install and not Premiere Elements.

Photoshop Elements Version 4 Help

I have version 4 and up until 2 weeks ago it was working fine but now every time I try to open it I get the message “Attempt to access invalid address”. Then I click ‘ok’ and it says “It may still be loading or waiting for a response from you”. I have tried uninstalling it and re-installing it and I get the same error. I contacted Adobe but because they are on version 8 they will not give support to version 4 (which I tore a strip off of them for … thanks for nothing!).
I use Windows Vista and I bought version 4 only 2 years ago.
If anyone knows how to help I would really appreciate it!

Did you by chance just install Google Chrome? If you did, there is a compatibility issue that causes this error as long as Google Chrome is installed. Uninstall Google Chrome and you should be good to go.
If you have Bit Defender 2010, change it to "Game Mode" during your sessions with Photoshop Elements.
Not having the program set to "Run as Administrator" can also cause this error. Right click launch icon and select "Run as Administrator" from the menu.

There is talk in the above thread about turning on User Account Control (UAC) if you just can't bear to give up Chrome.
Edit: If it isn't any of the above, try to recall if you installed any program right before the error started showing up. If you did, that program may have a compatibility conflict with Elements.

I need help down loading photoshop elements 11 - PLEASE HELP

I have purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 and I have the serial number. I have attempted to down load it twice and each time when it said down load complete, I click open and it takes me to the app store. When searching my computer for it, it doesn't even show it's on my computer except in the down load folder but it won't do anything else. I keep getting a message when down loading the second part that says . PLEASE HELP!!

also tried deleting and re installing it & checked for updates

You need to browse and find the file called
Mediadatabase.db3 and then rename it.

Photoshop elements 10 URL help

Trying to set up photoshop elements and it won't let me continue without making a photoshop.com URL address ... It won't take my username or anything else I type in ... Just keeps saying "Failure: an error occurred and changes were not saved. I can't seem to bypass this step or get the program to accept anything I put in ... Why?!

You are correct, as part of Photoshop.com shutting down in June we have disabled the account creation to Photoshop.com. This affects creating an account directly on Photoshop.com, as well as creating the account from within the Photoshop Elements 10 interface.
As you have already discovered, this log in is not necessary to use Photoshop Elements 10, just to be able to upload to Photoshop.com and share the photos which is a service no longer available.

Reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11 software HELP!

I reinstalled PSE 11 after my Macbook was wiped...its in my documents and looks to be loaded but no prompts on what to do next???Says 93.6MB ....is it fully installed I can't tell? HELP I've had it with installing things...took 3 days to update to Mavericks and reinstalled 2 times...frustrated:(

For Mac there's a single file you need to download of 1.6GB
After downloading you can double click the downloaded file to start the installation.

Photoshop Elements 4.0 - Help!

I bought Photoshop Elements 4.0 several years ago, and installed it on my G4. My G4 crashed recently and I replaced it with a Macbook Pro. I installed the program again and got a message that my serial number had expired and the program closed. Keep in mind, I had previously only installed it on ONE computer.
I called Adobe and, after 4 different phone calls, was told that they no longer offer support on my product by phone and that I'd just have to figure it out for myself (Yeah - right.)
What do I need to do to get 4.0 to work on my new Macbook? It's running OS X version 10.6.

I think this is more likely to be a hardware problem rather than to do with the serial number.
I understand PSE4 will run on Mac OS X systems running version 10.5 or earlier. PSE4 will not run on Intel-powered Mac systems running 10.6 or later due to the new system architecture introduced in Snow Leopard.

Photoshop Elements 6 please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've installed the program on my computer but when I click on it

On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.
OR
Any network printers installe on the machine might be the cause of the issue. Choose different default printer.
Let me know your comments if it works.
