  • Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer crashes when importing m2ts files

When I import my collection of images and videos using "Import / From file and folders...", Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer crashes when importing one of my .m2ts files.  When I debug it I get:
Unhandled exception at 0x1543025B (mc_demux_mp2_ds.ax) in PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe: 0xC0000094: Integer division by zero.
Is there a way for me to import m2ts files successfully?  If not, then is there a way to skip importing these files.

I do not have any version of Premiere Elements installed.
I never removed any files.  This is a clean installation from a couple months ago when I got my new hard drive.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 organizer crashes everytime I start it up

    Hi,
I'm having a problem with the Photoshop Elements organizer (version 8) - every time I start it up it crashes right away. This has been happening since yesterday where I was uploading some photos to Smugmug via photoshop elements where it crashed for some reason, and now it is crashing everytime I open it. The editor, however, is working fine.
My pc is relatively new and I am running Windows 7.
Anyone got an idea about what is causing this issue and what I can try in order to fix it?

Try renaming the folder "Elements Organizer" and "Online Services". These folder are present at C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe. After renaming these folders, application should launch without crashing.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer Crashes when Importing Video Files

I recently upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to 12.  Now if I import any of my videos, they import onto the hard drive but as soon as Elements tries to bring them into the catalog, Photoshop Crashes.  When I re-open the Organizer, it crashes as soon as it processes my files.  If I delete the video file from my hard drive, then it doesn't crash.  I have lots of videos that were imported under Photoshop Elements 10 and they don't cause any problems.
I uninstalled Elements and re-installed but that didn't help.
I deleted my preferences but that didn't help.
I updated to 12.1 but that didn't help.

I have checked on another Windows 8.1 computer and it doesn't have problems so it isn't a general problem with Windows 8.1.
Also, it isn't a problem with that particular catalog (That catalog worked on my other computer and I get the error with a new catalog)
I re-downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package  and updated it since that seems to be what MSVCR100.dll is used for but that didn't help.
I get the problem with .MTS and .MT2S (AVCHD) video files but don't have the problem with .MP4 files.
I tried with a Safe Boot but I still have the problem.
I did a file cleanup using CCleaner but that didn't help either.
I ran System Mechanic to fix registry problems but that didn't help either.
I tried disabling my Norton Antivirus and Firewall but that didn't help.

I do not have any version of Premiere Elements installed.

  • Photoshop Elements 7 Organizer crashing

Recently upgraded from Windows Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Organizer was working fine but yesterday started to crash soon after opening.
I followed the John Rellis instructions but this did not help.
Before the crash I get a strange message that "The color scheme has been changed
I am running the Organizer in Windows XP SP 3 compatibility mode
Today I did not get the color scheme message but did get the attached error before the Organizer crashed - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error R6016 - not enough space for thread data.

I stopped using Elements 7 Organizer and now use Picasa instead because of this problem.
Interestingly when Picasa is open it throws exactly the same error message which I have not been able to resolve.
Picasa is more stable than Organizer though as it doesn't crash.
I wish I could solve this problem......

  • Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer crashes

I purchased, downloaded and installed Photoshop Elements 11 for Mac today.
I launch the program and select Organizer, it crashes.
If I select Editor, it loads fine.
I looked at the installation and crash logs but cannot determine cause of problem
I am not using any plug-ins other than what might be installed by adobe

It could be that your catalog got corrupted somehow.
Hold down your Shift key while launching the Organizer. This would open up the Catalog Manager.  Highlight your catalog at the bottom of the window, and choose "Repair" and then "Optimize".
If that doesn't solve it, from the Catalog Manager, try creating a new catalog.
If Organizer still fails to launch, try following steps –
Delete the Organizer preferences [Organizer preferences are located at //Users/[Your User Account]/Library/Preferences/]
Delete the file “com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.11.0.plist” from above location and relaunch the Organizer.
Hope this would resolve your issue.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer Crashing When Trying To Import Photos

Just downloaded and started using PSE 12 Editor and Organizer about a week ago.  (An upgrade fron PSE11).  Today for whatever reason, when trying to import any file, say from my desktop or a download foler, the list of locations to import appears for a second, then disappears. I am unable to do any other action and have to quit or force quit.  In PSE Editor, I am able to open a file, but when trying to save it, I get an error that "Could not complete your request due to a Program Error".  I use a Mac and just recently upgraded to OS Maverick.  Anyone having the same issue or can suggest a potential fix?  I also tried using PSE 11 and run into the same problem.  Thanks.

It's very important to delete the existing preferences on upgrading to Mavericks.
    You want
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 settings
and then for the organizer anything like com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.12.0.plist. You'll find at least two files with the number for the organizer entered differently.
Those files are all in your user>library>preferences folder. Here's how to see it in 10.9:
    http://www.cultofmac.com/251544/mavericks-makes-it-way-easier-to-access-your-library-folde r-os-x-tips/
While you're in there go to the Saved Application States folder and clean out anything related to PSE.
    Repair permsisions and try again.

  • Photoshop Elements 13 Organizer crashes when launched

I installed Photoshop Elements 13 a few days ago on my brand-new HP Envy laptop (Windows 8.1).  I imported photos from two external hard drives, and experimented with tagging a few photo sets.  I unplugged one of the hard drives, did some more tagging, and while I was tagging the Organizer crashed.  When I tried to relaunch it, it crashed immediately after loading the catalog.  After a restart, I relaunched the Organizer, and it stalled for several minutes while loading the catalog, then crashed as soon as the catalog was loaded.  I've attempted to restart and relaunch several times and it always crashes immediately upon loading the catalog.

I do not have any version of Premiere Elements installed.
I never removed any files.  This is a clean installation from a couple months ago when I got my new hard drive.

  • Attempts to enter elements 9 organizer now show "runtime error C"..how do I correct this?

I have used Elements 9 sucessfully since August. Suddenly, when I try to go to "organizer", it gives me a 'runtime error C..contact your product provider. What does that mean ? How does it happen? and most importantly, how can I get it 'fixed' ?
    New World Photos by Ron

A number of possible causes, so can't say immediately what will fix it. A file within the application may have become corrupted and needs to be recreated. You would most likely have to do this by uninstalling and reinstalling the application. You could also try running the application from a new user account, whether or not it works will help guide us in the next thing to try.

  • How can I free my Elements 5 Organizer from a "Runtime Error!" message that won't quit?

I recently installed Elements 5 on my new Windows 7 computer, and I've spent many hours re-creating hundreds of stacks and tags that I developed on my old XP computer.  Elements 5 has worked perfectly well for several days.   But when I asked it to re-connect with missing files and it started looking for a file that was in a folder that I had changed the name of after importing it from my old computer, it was taking a very long time, so I tried to get it to just quit.  Instead, I now  thave a message that reads, "Runtime Error!  This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information."  Even though I can get Windows to close the program, the same message comes up when I re-start Elements 5, even after shutting down the computer, and the program can't be used.  How can I get rid of that message and keep all the work I've put into my stacks and tags, which would be lost if I uninstalled?  Please help!

    Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer Crashes When Sharing Via E-Mail

Each time I try to share images via e-mail form (embedded pictures), Elements crashes. There is no specific cause given so it is not possible to correct. Suggestions?

    Hi,
Sorry, by loaded I meant running.
Thanks for the screenshot - very useful.
At stage 4, control is being handed over to outlook - since you have initialised outlook, I am assuming that you can normally send messages from it.
When you started the organizer, was Outlook 2013 running? The screenshot is showing an outlook task is running and I was wondering if it was the message waiting to be displayed. In Windows 8, I have seen the new message hiding behind the taskbar but haven't seen it in Windows 7 yet.
If outlook wasn't running when you started, then try hovering over the outlook icon in the taskbar, and when a little image appears, right click on it and select maximize.
If outlook was running when you started the organizer, look to see if there are now two outlook tasks showing in the taskbar (they maybe stacked). If there are two, hover over the icon and two small images should appear. Right click on the right hand one and select maximize.
    Good luck
    Brian

I can not get my Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 organize to open. The edit option comes up with no problem, but will crash when I try to access organize. What should I do to fix this problem?

    Hi,
Which operating system are you running on?
Try starting the organizer while holding down the shift key.  Hopefully, it should load the Catalog Manager.
Select your current catalog and click on the Repair button. Once it has finished, click on the Open button to see if the catalog opens.
    Good luck,

  • Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer catalog conversion

I'm having trouble converting Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 catalog to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer.  I get a Conversion Failed error which tells me to repair with the program that created it.  I have tried several things including deleting all .avi files from the catalog, deleting references to missing files and backing up then trying to convert from an external HD.  I'm running Vista Home Premium on a HP laptop.  The Organizer optimize and repair don't seem to help in this case.
Does anyone have any history with this or advice?

Please refer to following KB article which deals with catalog conversion failures:-

  • Photoshop Elements 11 organizer stops working after about 15 minutes with windows 7??

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, changed preferences, removed preferences, added administrator priviledges with full control to several screens, turned over my screen to Dipanjan, Adobe Rep and still does exactly the same thing. Very frustrating! Anyone else getting this windows pop up screen " Photoshop Elements 11 organizer has stopped working" ?
If I don't resolve this soon, I'm going back to PSE 10 and I guess I'll just have to eat the money wasted on it.
    Finally resolution!
Three separate days totaling about 8-10 hours of chat then another 3 or more hours in chat about this issue today with 3 different people. Finally got to Vijay, who said to:
click on edit in the organizer,
    go to preferences,
    click on media anaylsis,
    uncheck all the boxes.
That did it!!! Less than two minutes, done!  No more problems. I can't imagine how much of Adobe's and my time and productivity was wasted going through all the laborious steps, often times repeating the same procedures when I got some one new, only to start all over again.
Many thanks Vijay. You suceeded where so many others failed!
I sincerely hope if anyone else suffers this dilemma, this will instantly resolve it for you and avoid the extreme frustration and agony I went through.
    Cheers!

Ernie, it shouldn't be required. This is a scientific process, a test to find the origin of the issue. If there is something wrong with the catalog, we can try to repair it, but the fact is there are many possible causes to such behavior and we have to start somewhere. Here is a more complete list of the steps you can take to counter this kind of issue: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-photoshop. html
Is everyone here getting a blue screen from the OS? If so, there are much greater problems at hand than it is possible for an application on your computer to cause. Blue Screen errors are caused by hardware issues. Sometimes it is physically faulty parts, but most of the time it is some sort of driver conflict (generally just an old version that needs to be updated). Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for major hardware components, such as your video card. DO NOT rely on your OS to get the current versions of the drivers. Go to the manufacturer's website and download them directly.
