Photoshop Elements 11 photobook sizes

I wish to create a photobook in elements_11 with a new size offered by Shutterfly.  The new size is 11 x 14, but this size is not offered in the list under create photobook.  How do I add it, or is this not possible? Thanks Tweentide

You can go to the organizer preferences>Adobe Partner Services and click the Refresh button. If it doesn't appear, then your best bet will be to make the book directly at shutterfly using their software.

  • Photoshop Album to Photoshop elements File size issue

I have used album v2 for a few years, and only import proxy files from off-line media (CD/DVD) to keep the backup file small which makes it easier to keep 2 computers on the same page..(15000 image files = 6GB) I make a backup to a portable drive monthly, and restore to 2nd pc.. etc
I have converted the catalogue into elements 9 succesfully, and it correctly points to the relevent discs if I need the full res files.
My question is.. Can I do this sort of import in Photoshop Elements 9? In album there was a check box for keeping the files off-line during import and to name the disc for reference , but I cant see this in elements... Perhaps I am missing something obvious..
Looking through the dialoge boxes, I wonder if you import the full res file, then move/copy to disc leaving behind the proxy...
I am on the trial, and dont want to buy if its not what I want..
Apologies if this topic is listed elsewhere.. I have looked, but cant find one..
    Thanks for any pointers,

I'm not sure but it sounds a lot like the question I posed to the forum a little later today.  It may be that the newer versions of PSE are not compatible with transfering all the Categories, Sub Categories and Tags from versions up to PSE 10.  I am presently using PSE 10 because I couldn't figure out how to save all the organization I have put into Elements over the past 10 years or so.
I'm hoping for an answer to my question.

  • Photoshop Elements screen size

Hi, I have a new Dell XPS laptop (screen resolution 3200 X 1800) and have recently installed Photoshop Element 10. The problem is that the Photoshop Elements screens are extremely small. If I 'maximize' the Photoshop screens, the page fills the screen, but the contents of the labels are still extremely small, so small that I can't read them. What can I do to get the Photoshop Elements screens readable. Thanks

Unfortunately Elements 10 can't handle hdpi displays. Only PSE13 can (with an update to 13.1); If you choose to update, download the trial version and see if that is ok for your computer display.
Otherwise, I believe your only solution would be to set your screen to a lower resolution in Windows, which would have the effect on all other installed softwares.

  • Photoshop elements 7.0 photobook dopcument dimensions

I have photoshop elements 7.0  I want to create a photobooks but need to change the document dimensions in the photobook settings before creating the book.  I can see no way to do this.  Any help on how to change photobook document dimension sizes in Elements 7.0 would be VERY appreciated  thank you

    Hi GreatCircle
Photobook in PSE comes with dimensions presets  and I am afraid but there is no option to change the photobook document dimensions. You can however change the dimensions of the image within the photobook.

  • I have downloaded the two files needed for the upgrade of Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 to version 12 but I cannot open them to make them run and install. What am I supposed to do. One is a very large .7z file just over 1gb in size.

How do I open  up a .7z file just over 1gb in size? I have just downloaded this as an upgrade from Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 to version 12. I cannot see any sign of the Akamai program on my computer that is supposed to open and install the two files that I downloaded.

    Thanks Hans
I don’t mind mountain climbing but anything serious to do with a computer scares me silly.
I installed the 64 bit version of 7zip and once I figured out how to tell the computer to use the right application within that to open the 7zip file, the big file opened and I was able to apply the .exe file to get things going and installed. In the end the default location the installation chose was program files x86 which I think is the 32 bit folder but it all seems to be ok now.
Many thanks again for your response.
    Cheers

  • How do I print multiple items of a specific size on one sheet of A4 using photoshop elements 12?

    HI
I have a small sublimation business whereby I print photo's onto small personalised gifts such as mugs, phone covers fridge magnets. I print out the images to fit the size of the gift i.e. a phone cover or mug the images are a specific size.
Often I want to print multiple items onto one page each with a customised size as the paper is expensive and I need to make the most of every sheet. I can't figure out how to do this in photoshop elements 12  can anyone help / advise?I am using windows XP
    Thanks Lynsey

You have a much better chance to get a useful reply if you ask in the Photoshop Elements forum.

  • I can't order prints, Photobooks, etc. from Photoshop Elements 13 through my existing Shutterfly account.

How do I set up Photoshop Elements 13 so I can print photos through Shutterfly. I have an existing Shutterfly account but can't find any place in Organizer or Editor to provide by Shutterfly with my UserName and password. If I select the "Create" button on the upper right of the "Organizer" screen, then select "Photo Prints", and then select "order prints from Shutterfly" I receive a "Welcome to Shutterfly" dialog box prompting me for information to create a new Shutterfly account (new User name, new password). Since I have an existing Shutterfly account already I don't want to create a new one. I receive the same "Welcome to Shutterfly" dialog box when I select a photo in Organizer then select "Order Prints" from the "File" pull down menu. I also see the same dialog box when I open a Photobook in the Editor and click on the "Order" button. So how do I provide Elements with my current Shutterfly information? There must be some way to provide it but I have not been able to find it

You don't get any windo0ws like the one I have attached here?
In the above picture I have BOXED the place where you need to sign-in to your Shutterfly account.  Also, please note that you have to be in USA to get this feature as far as I know.
You do this from the PSE Organizer by going to:
File >> Order Prints >> Order Shutterfly Prints
    Good luck.

  • PhotoShop Elements 10...I need help with font size for watermark in Processing Multiple Files.....

I have PhotoShop Elements 10, and I am trying to watermark some of my photos, I have successfully added them one at a time with a font large enough to be seen. Now I am trying to add it using the "process multiple files" , I can do that but the font even at 72 the largest setting is so small on the photo you can barely read it! Can anyone help me the size larger on my photos?

Thank you, Michael. I just watched the Russell Brown video again for CS6 and looked real closely at his settings in ACR and he was using 240ppi. I changed my file in image size to 240 ppi and then ran the script and the layer didn't change size this time when I ran the script.
It is kind of annoying to have to change the image size everytime I want to run this script and then change it back again as most of my files are 300 ppi. I used to run his script for edit in ARC in CS5 and recall that if I just remembered to change the settings in ARC to 300 ppi while the script was playing and before pressing 'open' that the image wouldn't change size during the raw processing, but this doesn't seem to be working in CS6. Do you know of a way to use this script and not have to change the ppi for the image to 240?
    Thanks again.

  • Changing size of tool bars & icons in Photoshop Elements 10

Was using Photoshop Elements 10 on my windows vista with no problems. Just got a new computer with Windows 7 and moved Elements 10 with no installation error messages.
Just tried to edit some pictures and all the tool bars and icons are so tiny - extremely hard to read. Tried adjusting the text size to 150% in control panel but it did not change anything in Elements.
Is there a setting that can be readjusted - do I need to uninstall and reinstall with some setting tweaks??
    Please help!!!!

You need to use the default, 100% screen font size in Windows to prevent problems like tool cursors and menu bars not displaying correctly.
There's no way to adjust PSE's font size or icon size.

    Hi Prabhuram and falez,
This issue appears where there are any inconsistencies in your catalog (generally for video files). This issue may be due to offline files, missing files, video scenes. The recommendation here would be to fix these inconsistencies and try again. If that doesn't solve the issue, please follow steps mentioned in email by me.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 - Organizer - File size too large

I have a new computer running Windows 7 with gobs of RAM and hard drive space.  I’ve recently installed Photoshop Elements 8.
I am having the following problem in the Organizer for some 35MM slides that I’ve scanned at 1600DPI.  It looks like the pixel size in one example is 9590x6013 = 57,664,670.  Based on some reading on the internet it appears that the standard limit in Organizer is 54 megapixels (56,623,104 pixels).  Looking over all of my slides I think I will need around 62-65,000,000.
I found an Adobe TechNote, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402760.html, that seems to address this issue for earlier versions.  I’ve tried a few times with no luck to follow these notes but there are some differences in my Registry as I’ve noted below in steps 4&5 of the instructions.
I’ve restarted both my computer and Photoshop Elements after making the registry change with no change in the Organizer message.  I’ve removed the pictures from the catalog and added them back with no change.  They look fine in the Editor.  The pictures also look fine in all Windows tumbnails.
The following instructions are copied from the TechNotes.  I’ve made two comments in Red where I was a little unsure since my Registry after install of version 8 does not exactly match these version 5&6 notes.
Some instructions I found on your website
To override the maximum image size limit for the Organizer:
    Exit the Organizer.
    Choose Start > Run.
Type regedit in the Open field and click OK.
In the left pane, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ADOBE\Photoshop Elements\5.0 for Photoshop Elements 5.0 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ADOBE\Photoshop Elements\6.0 for Photoshop Elements 6.0.  Notice that my Adobe is not under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE it is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Highlight the Organizer folder in the left pane.
I’ve noticed that I have two “Organizer” folders under the Adobe registry.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Adobe/Elements Organizer/8.0
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/8.0/Organizer
Thus far, I’ve only tried this DWORD in the second option.
Choose Edit > New > DWORD Value, and name the new value MaxImageSize.
Highlight the MaxImageSize DWORD and choose Edit > Modify.
Change the Base option to Decimal.
In the Value Data field, enter the new maximum size for an image in pixels. For example, if you want to change the limit to 24 megapixels, then enter 25165824. (To determine a megapixel value in pixels, multiply the value by 1024 x 1024.) If there is a specific image size you are trying to import, then use the this forumula: width x height x 1024 x 1024.
    Click OK.
    Exit the registry.
Start the Organizer. If you had previously imported images that were over the limit, then delete them from the catalog and re-import them to display the thumbnail.
    Thanks,  Tom

    Hi Tom,
I'm having the sampe problem.  Did you ever resolve this issue?

  • I have been given a 28 page Pdf and have been asked to optimize the item to reduce the file size. Can this be done in Photoshop Elements? if so how?

I am using a Mac and just bought Photoshop Elements 13. I have been given a 28 page Pdf and have been asked to optimize the item to reduce the file size. Can this be done in Photoshop Elements? if so how?

No the pages will open as separate documents in Expert Mode. You really need Acrobat or possibly you could copy and paste the contents into MS word. Then re-save as PDF.

Well, when you open the program, the splash screen, the window you see while the program is opening, should make that clear enough. For example:

  • How do you size a picture in Photoshop Element 11

How do you size picture's to be sent in a email? On the old version I could figure it out be now on this version I can find where to do this. Also how do you make a collogues in Photoshop Elements 11
Thank you for your help, Jack Frowein

if you are saving your image as jpeg and really dont care much about the pixel dimension and just worry about the file size, I think using lower jpeg compression ratio is a better option.  For example: if i want my image to have really small file size, I would simply use a lower jpeg quality(probably Medium or low) while saving the file.
Another easy solution would be to use Save for web, which shows you enough save options to precisely control your file size and dimension

  • Photoshop Elements 10 - How to review the 100% size

this is the first time i use photoshop elements 10.
i am just confused when i need to review photos one by one,
no matter how big the size is ,the photo will show the size which is fit the screen.
i wanna know how to review the picture in 100% size.

If your talking about in the organizer, you can go to the fullscreen options and uncheck Allow Photos to Resize, but if the photo is bigger than will fit on the screen at 100% you'll have to either use the scroll wheel
or click inside the photo to see it at 100% view.

  • Photoshop Elements file info font size

The text size in Photoshop elements is rather small. By Text I mean the font size for commands.  I can live with it most of the time but when adding text to the File Info field I find it very hard to read and check spellling.  Is there any way to increase font size or magnify what one sees.  For example in Windows, Control Panel, Display I can adjust the display font size but that seems to have no effect in PE.  Any ideas?

Yes, even if you set the UI font size to 200%, that has no effect on the font size of the Information dialog in the editor.
My suggestion is to use the Organizer to input your information. I have set the font size in Windows (not in Elements) to 125% for my 1920 x 1200 24" display.
It's comfortable to input file properties in the Information panel on the right. For the IPTC data, click on the icon with three dots to open the IPTC dialog.
