Photoshop Elements 11 printing issue

Doesn't Photoshop Elements 11 support a photo tray option or is it just the main tray on your printer?  My printer has a photo tray that I always used in previous Elements versions.  Elements 11 doesn't show a photo tray option in printing, what gives???

I had the same problem on my new hp 7520: No option to select the photo tray in Photoshop Elements 10 on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.1).
The solution was to use a preset generated in the seperate program standard on the Mac, Preview.  The preset causes an additional window to pop up when you press print, and allows you to select the preset.  You don't see this window unless a preset has been generated.
To set a preset in Preview follow these steps (other programs could probably be used to set the preset as well):
1. Select a photo and select print.
2.  In the print screen select the paper size (eg. 4x6), then in the option that says preview use the drop down menu to select "printer features" which then brings up the options that we are looking for.  Set the paper type (eg. Hp premium papers) and source (photo tray).  Now go back to top and in the preset window select "save as" and give it a name (eg. 4x6 photo tray).   This has created a preset with specified paper quality, size and source which can be used in Photoshop.
Once the preset is established you can print easily in Photoshop:
1. Select a photo and select print.
2. Select the printer, paper size and print size (should match preset) and select print.
3.  Because of the preset, an additional window pops up allowing you to select the printer and the preset, then select print again to send it to the printer.
Of course you can have a number of presets, for different sizes or types of papers, different source trays or even different printers.

  • Problem with Photoshop Elements Printing

I have been using Photoshop Elements for a couple of years now and know it pretty well.  Today while attempting to print, a strange problem came up:  After going through the protocol to make a print, just before the image prints PE does a very fast auto correction that basically ruins all the color correction I have made on the image.  How do I disable this function?

Hi and thanks for your reply. I checked the settings under "Print", "More Options", then "Color Management" and it only has "Print Space", none of the three options that you said I should have.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

Check your color management by clicking More Options in the print dialog There are basically three options:1) Printer Manages Color2) Elements Manages color3) No color Management Make sure everything is consistent e.g. if you choose Elements manages color make sure color management is switched off in the print driver.

  • Photoshop 10 printing issues,

I am trying to print two time sensitive projects using high resolution photos. All is good until I try to print the completed projects. Once I am at the print settings screen I get a pop up that tells me I cannot print high resolution pictures and then reduces resolution of high quality pictures to 200 dpi, This has not been an issue in the past. any ideas would be appreciated!

Are you sure you are talking about Photoshop and not Photoshop Elements?
Because Photoshop 10 usually is called Photoshop CS3.
But either way I think you might need to provide more information to enable people to help you effectively (version, OS, hardware, drivers, …).

  • Adobe photoshop elements 12 issue

my adobe photoshop elements 12 organizer keeps stopping? anyone know why?

For what it's worth: On my PC running 64-bit Windows 7, I found that PSE 12.0's Organizer simply stopped working (crashed) for no apparent reason from time to time. After updating to PSE 12.1 a few weeks ago, Organizer hasn't crashed a single time. Whether 12.1 addressed stability issues, I have no idea. Perhaps it's just my imagination, but 12.1 does seem to be more stable.

  • Photoshop Elements Printing Pictures

How do I print several pictures on a sheet of paper each of which is a different size? I find that I get squeezed into the size presets in the dialogue box. I have looked all over to no avail.

If you're going to be doing many prints of the same format you can make your own templates for use with the Picture Package (although you don't state which version of Elements you have).
Take a look at the 'readme.txt' file in folder below - assuming you have a Windows machine.

  • Trial Photoshop Elements 10 - issue with Air

    Hi
I'm probably doing  something really silly....
I tried to download Photoshop Elements 10 trial, when I clicked the download it has installed the adobe download assistant onto my pc, but everytime I click on it the Adobe Air Licence agreement pops up, I agree the terms and it goes again, nothing happens click on it again and it Air licence agreement pops up. I cannot get past this.
I have uninstalled air and the download assistant, but it's still doing the same thing
    I'm using windows 7 64bit
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
    Many thanks

It sounds like you are having difficulties with Adobe AIR.  I would recommend trying the steps listed in Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/troubleshoot-air-installation-windows.html.  Please feel free to respond to this thread if you have any questions about the steps listed.
Alternately you can initiate a direct download by following the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.  Although you will still need to resolve your difficulties with AIR as it could prevent you from installing Photoshop Elements successfully.

  • Photoshop cs4 printing issue on HP 7680

Suddenly, my HP OfficeJet 7680 printing from PS CS4 (Vista) - prints only a portion of the photo. For instance, an 8.5 x 11 photo starts out fine, then starts losing pixels as the page progresses. The photo's pixels also shift as it goes.
Generic printing through Windows' photo printers works fine.
    any thoughts? thanks!!
    Dana

Believe it or not you might need to reinstall.
The HP drivers that were installed on my MacBook were the PowerPC version (as opposed to the Intel version) and I had problems. The issue was solved by re-installing the OS which in turn re-installed the print drivers.
I would try any other advice first, though. A reinstall is a pretty major solution to what could be a minor problem.

  • Anyone had trouble with photoshop elements printing to wrong printer when you have lots of printers connected (windows 7)

I have a number of printers connected to one computer via USB/Network
    Epson 9600
    Epson 7800
    Epson 1500
    Canon Pro MkII
    HP laserjet 4650
regardless of what printer is selected it tries to print to the epson 9600
Originally this started happening on PSE12, so i thought it maybe fixed in upgrade so i bought PSE13, and performed a fresh install - no difference.
so i used a new harddrive, reinstalled windows and then PSE13, it was ok for a few weeks, but now its done the same again
Ive just downloaded the CC trial of "photography" and at present this seems to be working fine.
Anyone have any ideas what may cause this to happen??

Suggest as a test to connect one of the printers to USB port on your computer. See what happens when it is out of the network.

  • Photoshop elements printing problem

every time I try to print an image the print options revert back to a print size  etc that I was using earlier. Can't a new size and option such as borderless that I used for the last print stay and be used for multiple prints.

I don't get the math here. What is " 4x6 expanded to the full 11 inch side of the paper" ?
Your paper stock is 81/2x11. ok.
What is the size of the image, in inches, and the resolution in px/in? You can see the values in Image>resize>image size. Don't do anything here, just read the numbers and report back.
    Thank you.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 Issues

Since installing Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 my computer is freezing up to the point I cannot edit one photo and in some cases cannot even open the program. I am using a 2 year old HP Laptop. icore3 processor 4gb ddr, 500 gb hard drive, windows 7. What can I do to get the program to run properly without freezing my computer?

Please check if any program running at the background might be conflicting with Elements process.
    Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-servic es-windows.html )
Also try launching the program as Administrator and check it's performance.

  • Photoshop elements 12 prints asymmetical borders instead of borderless photo

Photoshop elements prints asymetrical borders on the sides of photos I am trying to print.  I have printed several (more than 20) photos with no borders with no problem, when suddenly I began getting photos with asymetical borders on the sides of the printed photo.  It looks fine in print preview but prints with these borders.  I have printed a photo with another program and this does not happen.  I have checked my settings and nothing appears to have changed.  I really need help with this.

In the print dialog, under "Select Paper Size", check again to be sure that the borderless option for your paper stock is selected.
Are the picture files accurately sized/cropped to conform to the paper size, e.g.. 4x6 image for 4x6 paper?

  • I HAD TO BUY A NEW HARD DRIVE FOR MY LAPTOP. I AM TRYING TO RE-INSTALL MY ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 BUT IT KEEPS SAYING MY SERIAL NUMBER IS INVALID. WHAT DO I DO?

I HAD TO BUY A NEW HARD DRIVE FOR MY LAPTOP. I AM TRYING TO RE-INSTALL MY ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 BUT IT KEEPS SAYING MY SERIAL NUMBER IS INVALID. WHAT DO I DO?

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. If that is the case and you want to explore that possibility, then click on the following link
    Contact Customer Care
    Photoshop Elements
    Adobe ID, Signing In
Adobe ID, Sign In, Account Help
    Chat Panel
If the above link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate to the Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
Are you getting one of those "too many computers with your serial number" messages? Then the above should apply to your situation.
    Before the above consider....
    a. For Photoshop Elements technical issues please post your question in the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum. Somehow your
question got posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum.
    b. Have you verified your Photoshop Elements serial number at the Adobe web site (http://www.adobe.com) - after signing in with your
Adobe ID and Password, type My Products in the Search field and follow the path to your product in My Products. Click on Adobe
Photoshop Elements 12 in your list to reveal the serial number.
    c. Do the install with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

  • Photoshop Elements 5.0 organizer hangs

I have been using Elements 5.02 for a quite a while, especially the Organizer. However, a couple weeks ago it hangs whenever I try to open the organizer.
I've tried many things but no luck in extracting the catalog information. Things I've tried:
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled. Downloaded and installed 5.02 update. Still hangs when opening Organizer.
    - When opening, pressed the CTRL key, instructed it to compact and recover. It says it completed succesfully but it still hangs.
    - When opening, pressed the CTRL key and basically created a new catalog file. Organizer successfully opened. Attempted to restore
my previous backup. It was a full backup. All the pictures were restored but when Organizer opens, it hangs again.
    So my questions are:
    - On the drive where my photos are restored, I see the My Catalog.psa file (23,298 KB), along with a My Catalog.ldb file. In the C:
\ProgramData\Adobe\Catalogs there is also a My Catalog.psa file but only 752 KB. Seems like my data is there but for some reason it
is not being restored properly. Can you provide any suggestions to have the Organizer extract the data from the backed-up catalog
    - Are there any tests to figure out if my backed-up catalog is corrupted? Should I attach my catalog for you to examine its health?
-When restoring a backup, is it possible to only do the catalog and not all the photos?
    Thanks,
    Stephen
    Operating System: Windows Vista

    johnny,
I noticed that you posted both here and in the Premiere Elements forum. Since you said that you could play the first DVD that you created on your TV DVD player, that means that you would have created that first DVD from Premiere Elements or some other DVD auhtoring software. This is because Photoshop Elements does not create a DVD for play on a TV.
So I recommend that you go up one level from this thread, so that you are at the level of the "Photoshop Elements Technical Issues" forum and use the "Add Topic" function to start your own thread
    Then in your new thread,
    1) please post a description of which options you chose when you did the
    b Output
command from the photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor
    Did you choose
    -- Send to Premiere Elements?
    -- Burn to a DVD ?
-- create a File that is a .wmv file type?
    2) Use Windows Explorer to examine each of these DVDs. What are the folders contained on the DVD that will play on the TV? And what are the folders on the DVD that will not play on the TV?
    3) What brand of DVDs did you use? And are they +R or -R?
