Photoshop elements 12 install error
Hello, I was in the process on installing photoshop elements 12 on my windows 8 computer and got message that the lightroom I have downloaded, I need to close it which I did after I did the lightroom 5.3 updated. It still would not continue and said the same message so I restarted my computer in the middle of the installed cause it suggested it. Now when I click on the icon it comes up with "The program can't start because amtlib.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." I was afraid of uninstalling the program and reinstalling that I would get some error regarding the serial number. Please advise.

Holiday912 please run the uninstaller for Photoshop Elements 12 from the Programs and Features control panel. You will then want to try reinstalling again. Photoshop Element 9 Install error
When installing Photoshop Element 9 it keeps rolling back and uninstalling. The operating system is Windows 7. It fails just after it copies the files. Any help would be apreciated

Photoshop Elements 11 install error caused by "Shared Technologies"
I've been unable to install PE 11 on my Windows 8 computer. I keep getting the message "Installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies", then it rolls back the installation. I've tried a couple of solutions from the troubleshooter page, none have worked. Would appreciate any help, thanks
You evidently bought the windows version. .Exe files are windows files. The mac version would be a .dmg file. You'll need to contact adobe or wherever you bought it to get straightened out. Download serial numbers are platform-specific.

Photoshop Elements 8.0 errors on install
I have a new computer and when I try to install PS Elements 8.0 I get the following error:
"Photoshop Elements 8.0 error 1326:Error getting file security:C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\8.0\Flash Galleries\Dynamic\ GetLastError: 5"
Any ideas what I can do to get this to install?If you are installing from disk you could try copying the contents to a new folder on the desktop. Installation often works better from the desktop than from the disk drive.
I would suggest you start by uninstalling everything from the control panel then go to your new folder and find the install.exe or set-up.exe file and right-click on it and choose “Run As Administrator”
Before you start the fresh install, temporarily disable internet security/anti-virus software.

Was able to download and install Premier but can't install Photoshop Elements - getting multiple error messages (pirated software, etc). Any ideas?

I have a packardbell laptop with photoshop elements 8 installed from new. I have used it on several occasions but I cannot get it to run now. When I open a photo using elements the Adobe box pops up saying that the programme has unexpectedley quit? can anyone help me please as I have several photos to edit before the end of this month. The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.

I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -

Hello,
Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 7 (x64) on my PC & have completely updated it through Windows Updater, I than installed PSE7 (disk that I brought new 3 years ago & has worked fine up till now) & followed the instructions.
Now, it loads the first screen fine (Organise/Edit/Create/Share) & Organise,Create & Share each load fine but when I click on Edit I get this error
Editor - Photoshop Elements 7.0
Could not initialise Photoshop Elements because the file could not be found.
I have already installed it on my old (now completely dead) Vista laptop, this PC & my mothers Win7 laptop & all work/ed.
The thing I have tried are -
Uninstalling & reinstalling PES7.
Uninstalling & reinstalling the OS & installing PSE7 first.
Replacing all files in 'Computer > Local Disk (C;) > Program Files (x86) > Adobe > Photoshop Elements 7.0 , with the files from my mothers laptop.
Have 'Deleted the Settings File' (Shift + Ctrl + Alt)
Running the Elements Organizer in a new user account.
& ringing customer support who told me to ask here.
I have tried the trial version of PSE10 which does not work, I get the following error
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10
Could not open a scratch file because the file could not be found.
& clicking OK the following error
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10
Could not initialise Photoshop Elements because the file could not be found.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Open PSE just to the Welcome Screen and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Mac: Cmd + Opt + Shift) and keep pressing.
Click on "Edit" from the Welcome Screen but keep pressing the keyboard keys - don't let up.
You will get a little dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings file. Click "Yes." You can let go of the keyboard keys now.
This will rebuild the file for you and often solves the issue.
If it doesn't work, navigate to :
C: > Users > [user name] > Photoshop Elements > 10.0 > Editor > Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Prefs.psp
Right click on the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Prefs.psp, and select Delete.
A new preferences file is created the next time you start Photoshop Elements. -
Photoshop Elements 11 installed on Mac Mini OS X 10.9.5. Application running successfully on bot main user and administrative accounts for considerable time with no warning messages. When established a new user account on same computer and try to call up elements receive message “Some ot the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the application.” How do I correct this problem without disturbing application in main user account?
Brooks lansing if you create a new Administrator account does the same issue occur? If so then it is likely that there is a file permission failure and file permissions have been set for the existing Users instead of the groups they belong to.
Have you removed and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11? This may reset the file permissions to the correct state to allow it to work under new accounts. -

Photoshop.com is no longer available. The service transferred to Revel.
Ignore the sign-in altogether.
You may need to turn off Sync in Organizer prefs if you have it activated. -

I have photoshop elements 11 installed on my desktop pc, I want to install it on my laptop as well, I read that it can be installed on two systems, but I get a message taht the redemption code has been used by another ID, please help
A redemption code can only be redeemed once. It is used to acquire a serial number. The serial number is what you need to activate the installed software. If you did not keep the serial number when you first installed, you might still be able to find it in your Adobe account online if you registered the software.

Trouble with WEP setting up HP7410xi
