Photoshop Elements 13 crashing everytime I try to add person in the organizer

Anyone had a similar problem?  Every time I try to add a person in the organizer, Elements 13 crashes.  It crashes a lot otherwise, but I have never yet been able to add a person without it closing down.  I am running Windows 7 64 bit, i 7, 3.10 ghz with 16.0 GB of Ram.  Thanks for any help!

  • Photoshop Elements 13 - Crashes Everytime

Photoshop Elements 13 freezes EVERYTIME I try to start it directly. When I try to start it from within the organizer by selecting a photo and clicking on edit, it will sometimes open the photo but then immediately freezes, but more often it just freezes before displaying the photo (just like when I try to open it directly).
By the way, Premier Elements 13 works fine on my computer. Both where installed on the same day from the same installation DVD.
Also, an older version of Photoshop Elements works fine on my computer.
It would be great to have a fix so I can use PSE 13.

Update - PSE 13 works fine on my laptop. I'd much prefer to get it to work on my desktop which has a lot more disk space, but at least I can edit my more important photos on the laptop and them move them over to my desktop. This workaround makes the Elements Catalog a bit of a pain.
So any ideas how to get PSE 13 to work on my desktop?

  • HT204490 Since installing the photos app Photoshop Elements keeps crashing when I try to open a phot

Photoshop elements crashes when I try to open photos since I installed the Photos app.

    Hello Deb,
Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 crashes whenever I try to make a collage.

Whenever I try to make a collage using Photoshop Elements 11, the elements program crashes and comes up with a error message stating that it has stopped working (A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.)  I reset all my preferences within the program and the same thing continues to happen.  I also tried to increase the amount of ram alloted to the program but things didn't change.  Any help given on the subject will be greatly appreciated.

Why not design your own? It is possible to make a collage manually and its quite easy.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

  • Why does my Photoshop Elements 13 crash everytime it is opened

PSE 13 crashes every time it opens.
After the original installation, it worked twice.  There have been no changes to the computer, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software with no success.
The software is installed on a Dell laptop that more than meets minimum requirements, and the OS is Windows 7 Home Premium.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest you trash the prefs file so that they get automatically re-built on next launch.
    Quit PSE12
Launch Finder and find the user Library by clicking the Go menu whilst holding down the Optn (alt) key (n.b. the library is hidden until you press the optn key) and inside the Library folder select the preferences folder. Then trash the following files:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Paths
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Settings
Also see this link if you normally have Finder set to the cover flow view:

  • Premiere Elements 8 crashes when I try to add transitions

Hi, I'm new here and my first language is German so I don't know if I do everything right...
I have a very annoying  problem with Premiere Elements 8: Even after the 8:01 patch Pre  crashes every time I add a transition (Pre crashes when I click  on transitions). I can take a short look  at the various transitions, then pre closes and the crash report window appears ...
    Windows 7 Professional 64bit
    Intel Core  i7 920 @ 2.67 Ghz
    6Gb of RAM
Radeon HD 4850 with  latest drivers (10.3)
I have also tried  reinstalling ... without success. Background rendering and  automatic analysis are off.

I'm able to import multiple video clips and I have not a red line. But now this windows appears when I click "transitions":

When I open a video in GSpot it looks like this:

  • After I install Photoshop elements 13,0n my p c  running 8.1 windows the organizer quits due tonal unknown errorless

the  organizer quits after bringing up the pics for a second. Am running 8.1 and the troubleshooter says  that there are no comparability issues.
it runs fine on my imac but not on the pc(using the correctvdisk)
adobe apparently has zero Tele support,

nPn0 have you tried removing and reinstalling Photoshop Elements 9 and 10.  If so are you receiving an error during the installation?  If so what error message did you receive.
If you do not receive an error message during install then I would recommend posting your inquiry to the Photoshop Elements forum.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 crashes when I try to print in Windows 7

I have had this programme for a week and I like it. However, I have been trying to use it on a laptop with Windows 7 installed. all goes well until I want to print and the computer crashes.  I did the same thing a few times so I took the proogramme off, reinstalled it and it still continues to crash. I am using a Sony Vaio VGN-NS30Z Intel Core Duo 2 T6500 @2.10 Ghz with 4 gig of RAM and 455 Gig of memory with over 85% free. Any ideas how to get around the problem? I have had to revert to my old laptop using XP and I have no problems with Elements 8 on that.

It sounds like a compatibility problem with the print driver.
Check here to see if your printer is supported on Windows 7.

  • Illustrator CC 2014 crashes everytime I try to open a new file

I have Windows 8.1, everything updated as far as I can tell and I tried everything, uninstall illustrator and install it again, restore preferences, and the 3 step unistalling everything, using the CC cleaner tool and install everything again, nothing seems to make a difference, it keeps crashing everytime, I try to get support in the chat and is not avaible, I tried to get support calling to the telephone provided but there is only a pre recorded message which again, sent me to the only option I´ve got ... th forum, I don´t know what else to do. The specific messagethat displays everytime it crashes is the following:  Adobe illustrtor stopped working correctly. There is a problema and Windows will close the program.

You have not provided any useful details about the file, your system and so on. chances are the file was simply exported wrongly/ too large/ with too many details. There are limits how much data AI can handle and on top of it EPS files from GIS programs can simply be atrocious and contain any number of oddities that tip over AI. There is no "Which button must I push?". You have to haggle it out with the supplier of the file and test different things.

  • Pages Crashes Everytime I try to Print

Sorry, I have all kinds of problems, don't I?
My macbook (which is posessed, I swear) consistently crashes everytime I try to print the document I need for tomorrow on Pages. Any other Pages document will print just fine, but this one document always results with the same message after I try to print:
The application Pages quit unexpectedly after it was reopened. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Try Again to temporarily restore the applicaton's default settings and open it again. Click report to see more details or send a report to apple.
I've tried copying and pasting it into blank documents. I've tried copying a single page from it into a blank document and it still crashes. I've tried resetting the computer. I've tried repairing disk permissions. Can anyone please help? This paper is due tomorrow!!!
    Thanks,
    --Jenny

    Hi Jenny
Firstly, back your document up - pronto!
Do you use footnotes/endnotes in your document?
If so, it may be that you have a reference in the main text area but a blank footnote/endnote to go with it. There is a bug in Pages that causes it to crash when printing documents that have them.
One other thing you can try is to print the document from another user account on the same machine.
Also, try exporting to a pdf and ask a friend to print it on another computer - the footnote bug will cause this to crash too.
Good luck on meeting your deadline!
