Photoshop elements 2.0 & iMac 21"

Just ugraded from an iMac G5 (intel) to a 21" iMac. My Photoshop Elements 2.0 will not open on my new computer. Ant idea why?

You might want to be a little careful with posting personal data in an open forum, like Adobe.

Photoshop elements 12 for iMac printing undersize

I have purchased Photoshop Elements 12 for iMac from Applestore and when I print a photo "actual size" the printout is only 93% of true size.
I have tried to print to a Canon MP610 and a Canon MG5550 with the latest drivers installed and get the same result.
If I print the photo from either the Apple iPhoto app. or from the Apple Preview app. the printout is the correct size.
Just in case there was anything amiss with the photoshop Elements 12 installation I uninstalled the app. and reinstalled it and still prints are 93% of true size.
I believe that Photoshop Elements 12 for iMac when purchased from Applestore is a special edition software.
I am also running the latest release of Mavericks OSX operating systems for iMac.
Any Ideas ?

I do not believe this will help because the same thing happens with both of the printers I have and so think it is unlikely that both printers have the identical problem. I also draw your attention to an earlier reply to hatstead describing how the size reduction also applies to PDF files generated from the PSE print window. Also when an image is generated using PSE saved and then printed using another application such as Apples "Preview" the printout is printed the correct size. As mentioned earlier, the version of PSE 12 I am using is a special edition software exclusive to Apple iTunes app. store. This version does not have the photo management part of the software but includes more of the tools that come with the full photoshop version. This it has been tailored to work with Apple iPhoto. Please see iTunes app store for more info. This may mean in view of what you said that the issue may only exist in this version of the software.

Issues with Installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 on iMac

I no longer have Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 registered on any computer as my previous computers crashed and the hard drives were no longer functional. I tried installing the Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 Disc on my new iMac computer and it's telling me that I have installed this software on other computers which have exceeded the maximum installations. Could you please let me know how I am able to use the same license number and install this software on my iMac computer? Thank you.

Using Photoshop Elements with my iMac

I am not sure anyone here can help me or if I'm in the right category, but I couldn't find a category that seemed to fit my question. If you can redirect me I'd appreciate it.
I have recently installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0.1 onto my iMac. I want to be able to go further with my photo editing than iphoto can take me. It took me some time, but I finally figured out how to get my iphoto pics to open with photoshop. Now my problem is that I can not seem to get any of the editing to apply to a picture. I have been trying to apply the anti-alias to pictures to eliminate the harsh picture edges. I'm wanting to print these pics on quilt squares and don't want a box within a box. Using standard editing I have been able to select the area around the center picture for anti-aliasing. That shows up as a marque. But I can not then get anti-aliasing to apply so I can see how that affects my pics. If anyone here has any experience with photoshop elements I would really appreciate some tips.
Again, if anyone knows a better forum for my question, I would appreciate being redirected to that forum.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I have gone to the photoshop forums as well. I thought I might have better luck using the Mac forum because, I wasn't sure I would find anyone on the photoshop forum using a mac. I did get some pointers there but they have not worked either.
I know that I can only use certain tools to anti alias and have done that. I can check the box for anti alias, but nothing happens.
I think I may have to just use what I have and stop trying to edit them. The time constraints I am under are too narrow.

Opening Photoshop Elements 11 in IMAC

Why does my Photoshop elements 11 not have "Open As" in the File menu on my IMAC when the same program is on my PC and does have the "Open As" under file. I want to open JPEG files on my IMAC

Failed install Photoshop Elements 13 on iMAC

I have been unable to install PSE 13 on my new iMac running OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite
Installation stops at 23% with Exit Code 7, Error: DF012, Unable to locate file at "/Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/Installers/adobeTemp/{CC478D4F-B86E-4F17-B95D-ID47DE21 DCBD}/Assets1/application/Adobe Elements 13Organiser.app/Contents/Info.plist" (Seq 1)
I am a new iMac user and unable to understand what the above message means and how to proceed. Would be most grateful for some help.

the installation files are corrupted.
if you downloaded them, redownload using a reliable wired connection, possibly a different browser and/or a download manager.

Photoshop elements on Intel iMac

Hello,
Photoshop Elements 4.0 installed on new iMac, worked fine for a couple of weeks - now will ot launch. Checked the topics on here, deleted all the preferences, un- and re-installed PSE on my regular and a new clean user account with the same results. No error messages, just some dock bouncing and then nothing.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why is Lightroom 3.2 so slow, especially w Photoshop Elements 8 On iMac

I upgraded from LR 2 to 3.2. I have an iMac OS10.6.4 with 2GB Memory. My Lightroom catalog is on a separate portable drive. (Incidentally the catalog doesn't say LR 3; the catalog shows up as a second LR2 catalog--just curious about that.) I've read in other forums about performance issues, esp. loading thumbnails & adjustments. I don't see the solution and some of the discussions are pages and pages long. I am having most of the same problems being reported but the biggest problem is taking an image from lightroom to photoshop elements 8. It takes forever to go back and forth, like 5 minutes for the image to open in PSE or for the image to save back to LR. If I upgrade memory to 4GB will it solve my problem? I didn't have these problems with LR2.

Thanks for the very helpful pointers. (1) I was pretty sure that more RAM would help so glad you confirmed. I have ordered 2GB and hope that solves most of the problem. (2) The reason I have the catalog and images on the external drive is so that I have everything in one place and can work with my laptop when traveling. Most of my pictures are shot on the road. I didn't like having one catalog & pics on my desktop and a separate one on my laptop. I wanted to merge them so after much study and information from other support people I ended up with everything on one external drive. Took quite a bit of work to get it done and done right. Now that it is done, I don't really like this method as I find it inconvenient to have to carry around the external drive and hook it up. (3) 20 GB mim. cache on fast drive. I have 112 GB free space on my hard drive so must be okay on that point.(4) Also found this support note "Optimize performance in Photoshop (MAC ) OS" which doesn't 100% apply to P. Elements but is helpful and basically is a long version of what you boiled down to a few key points.

Failed to install Photoshop Elements on my iMac

I failed to install my old version Photoshop Elements 2.0, purchased with camera as package. Once I click the installer pop-up message say "You must be logged in as an Administrator to install this product...". I am actually the only user and adimin on this system. How to resolve it? I searched some cased in the community and tried but couldn't find a good solution. Any expert knows? Thanks!

What are the specs of your iMac?
What version of OS X are you running?
PS Elements 2.0 is very old. This version is for old Macs that used Motorola PowerPC processor chips. It will not work on your iMac without your iMac running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard running a PowerPC emulator app called Rosetta.
If you ard running OS X 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mt. Lion, this version of PS will no longer work.
You'll need to update it to a new, compatible version.
Also, any version of PS is CPU! GPU! RAM and HD hungry.
You may find you'll need to increase the amount of RAM memory in your iMac to run PS Elements.

Installing Photoshop Elements 10 onto iMac 21" Intel

Just downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 from Amazon. My computer is an iMac 21", 3.06 Ghz Intel Core i3, running Snow Leopard, 4G RAM. 4G hard drive. Installer says "Minimum System Requirements not met. What Gives?

Continued with install anyway. Seems to be working OK. Suggested screen resolution makes everything on desktop too small. Thanks.

Photoshop Elements freezing new iMac Alum 20"

I know a lot of people have noticed freezing with Leopard in general but we have tied it to Photoshop Elements.
New Alum 20" iMac.
After initial install of Leopard we experienced no issues with freezing. The computer was running great.
Then we installed PhotoShop Elements (latest version bought < 1 month ago) and then the computer wouldn't last 20min without freezing. Removed Photoshop and reinstalled. Still Freezing. Stripped out Photoshop and computer is now running fine for the last 24hr.
Anyone experience this? We need to get photoshop back on the system but I'm not willing to risk continuous freezing. Anyway to trouble shoot this further. I'm curious if its the Adobe Bridge application, the update utility or PS itself. We also noticed a drop in performance of IPhoto once we installed PS which returned after PS was removed.
I'm defining freezing as No keyboard input, the mouse is responsive and moves but unable to click on any buttons. The only way to recover is to force the computer to shutdown with the power button.
Mainly looking for any troubleshooting techniques for handling such a problem.

PS runs fine on my Mac under Leopard, but I've yet to launch Bridge since the update.... Have you used Bridge yet? I think it isn't compatible with Leopard, but PS is completely Leopard compatible........

Photoshop Elements 11 auf IMac 27 mit Fusion Drive stürzt ab

Seit ich meinen neuen IMac mit FusionDrive habe läuft mein Photoshop Elements 11 nicht mehr. Das Programm stürzt bereits beim Start ab. Es lies sich noch registrieren, aber seitdem habe ich keine Möglichkeit mehr, damit zu arbeiten. Zu allem Überfluss kann ich es auch nicht unter Parallels mit Windows 8 nutzen, weil dies offentsichtlich als zweite unzulässige Registrierung gesehen wird, obwohl es auf dem selben Rechner läuft.

Uh oh. That always, always creates problems with PSE. The problem is that PSE isn't a nice tidy package in accordance with the apple developer guidelines--the PSE installer strews things all over your hard drive in places the migration assistant isn't programmed to look. You will need to download and run this:

and then you can manually remove the bits that copied over. Look especially in hard drive>library>application support>adobe. Once you get the mess cleaned up you should be able to reinstall.

Photoshop elements 8 with iMac- OS 10.6.3

I take my duplicate photo from iphote to elements, work on correcting the photo then add text. I am doing something WRONG. When I save the photo it returns to iphoto but without the text! If I go back in elememts and look under recent I can find it- if it is still there. I guess I don't know the type of file to save. It directs me to a paint shop file. Ugggghhhh!! I am sure it is somthing simple.
Any help would be appreciated. I have learned so much from this forum...now I need more

Hello I am trying to download photoshop elements 11 to iMac as I have the disc but no disc drive but all i get is elements premier not photoshop - can anyone help please

I tried the obvious link last night but the download only asked for the premiere serial number not the photoshop serial number and cannot seem to find another one -am I doing something wrong?
