Photoshop elements 2.0 sratch disk errors

I have windows XP pro runing on a new machine using SATA hard drive type. I also have adobe professional 7.0 installed it works fine. After installing the disk and starting the program it begins to initialize and gives a error " not enough memory on scratch disk". The disk has 1.3 Tera. of memory. I tried the Ctrl. Alt. buttons and get the window to change the hard drive location. My computer has set the hard drive with 'E' being the main drive. This is the 1.3 terrabite drive. However it stills says that there is not enough memory. I built the computer and I don't know if I have to set the hard drive up so the program will understand the drive? Can you help?

No, you would need to buy a newer version, same as anyone else who wants to upgrade. If you're going to buy you might as well buy the current version, PSE 10, although I would keep in mind that historically adobe tends to release a new version of PSE every September/October.

photoshop element 2.0 - on windows 7. the program ran fine on the old HD, but this error popped up when I re-installed it on the new HD
Elements 2.0 is an old version. The message may be due to the fact that your new HD is much bigger than your older one, and not due to the classical reasons:

There is a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1.  To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

  • Premiere Elements 11 Download - Write Disk Error

    Hello,
I purchased Adobe Premier Elements 11 from Amazon.com the day before yesterday and keep getting a Write Disk Error during the download. I have tried repeatedly to download, and to 2 different computers but have gotten this error (and 'invalid checksum' which went away after the first couple of tries; I also turned off this check in the Disk Utility). In between download attempts, I move the downloader file and the incomplete Premiere 11 folder from the desktop of my MacBook Pro to trash, dump it, and restart the computer. I was able to successfully download and install Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 on both laptops so the problem is not the internet connection or the computers. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
    Thanks!
    Roma

Nobody can know. It's most likely some indexing process/ tool or a backup like TimeMachine that all too eagerly inspects the files before they finish downloading and damges them in the process. Turn off any such stuff. You might also consider using otehr browsers. Safari is just completely awful and often damages files.

  • How do i install photoshop elements 11 without  a disk drive

I own photoshop elements 11 and have the disk but my new laptop doesn't have a disk drive. I found the software here http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/photoshop-elements-10-11-downloads.html. I downloaded the content but it wont install. The application says I need to download the rest of the content to install.  The thing is I have downloaded the rest of the content.  I am not sure what to do.  The first large file comes in a 7z file format. I have extracted the files to see if thats what I needed to do and it still didn't work.  I do need some help with this. The operating system is windows 8.1, 6 GB of ram, AMD quad core processor.

You don't need to touch the .7z file at all.
Download the .7z and the .exe file to the same folder on your hard drive
Double click the .exe file and follow the prompts

Maybe you need to enable Direct Play under Legacy Components in the Turn Windows Features on or off dialog.
    1. Right click on the windows start Logo on the taskbar, select Control Panel and click on Programs
    2. Under Programs and Features click on Turn Windows Features on or off and then under Legacy Components enable Direct Play

  • Photoshop Elements 4 and 3 installation error

In 2006 I bought a wacom graphire 4 tablet including photoshop elements 4 and 3. Recently I replaced my Mac (new Mac: OS X version 10.8.4 - 2.9 GHz Intel Core 15 - 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3) and now I want to install photoshop elements 4 and 3 again, and when the installation is almost finished I get an error. Please help me to install photoshop elements 4 and 3 to my new Mac.

Well, you should have known that if you upgraded to mountain lion you would lose all your ppc software. Apple has been warning that this was coming since around 2006 and PSE 3 stopped being compatible with OS X back around 10.4, after all. 10.7 has been out for over two years now, so it's not like this has been a big secret.

  • I cannot download photoshop elements. It shows an error 109. Communication error. No phone number that is listed for anything adobe works to where I can call for support.

I had an error on my Photoshop Elements 12. It would not bring the program up at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it will not download. I have now erased the download for the 3rd time and I have tried every phone number for assistance with Adobe. NOT a single number works. There is no online tutorial helps me with anything. I have a new Windows 8 version and when I first bought the computer it took me a while to download. But I did and it worked for about 30 days.
