Photoshop Elements 7.0 Text On My Slideshow

Hi-
Just started using photoshop elements 7.0 for my slideshows. I just noticed when I view the new slideshow video, on the bottom left of the slideshow it flashes the name of my video, then switches over to the text, "photoshop elements 7.0"........It keeps flashing and alternating between the two.
My question: Can I change the text there.....or get rid of this text, or do I have to adverties ps elements during the entire show?

Thank you for responding. It is not the trial version. The file is being outputted as a .wmv.
I have not put any text into the slideshow, just voiceover.
I don't think anything funky is going on.
When you view the show in Windows Media Player, on the botton left hand part of the screen is a stamp. It alternates between the name of the show, then photoshop elements 7.0 text. It will continue to alternate these two lines throughout the entire show.
Hopefully, the image below shows you what I mean.

I use an Epson V600 to scan old photos, which runs on a Photoshop Elements program. I am creating a slideshow for my grandmother's 90th birthday party, and I prefer to use iphoto for the slideshow. Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Scan the photos and save them in a folder. When you're finished scanning import that folder into iPhoto. This will give you just one Event with the photos in it. If you import each photo after it is scanned you'll end up with a separate event for each photo which can be a bit of a pain.

Photoshop Elements 9 importing text

I am presently working on a scrapbook. I wrote out some of the text I want as part of my journaling in Microsoft Word, figured out I needed to change it to a PDF doc, copied and pasted onto my page in PE9. Worked great for three pages. Now when I paste it on the page, it shows the layer on the right with the text but I am not able to see it on my page. I've looked under all the layers and nothing is there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have checked all those options. The layers are all there (even the text
layer shows up), the opacity is 100%, and the visibility icon is on. I've
tried everything. I finally (I think I may have mentioned this) converted
the Word file to PDF and pulled it into Photoshop using it like any other
element. The only problem with that is I can't make changes or add anything
doing it that way. I also can't change the color to match the first three
pages. That makes it so that if I want to be able to make any changes to
the text, I'll just have to type it all in again instead of using Word.

MAC Photoshop Elements 4- Making Text Smooth Does not work?

I have tried to search the forums and help maual, but to do avail so I am adding another topic, Although I have anit-aliased on, the text still seems fuzzy, what can I do?

Did you resize the image after adding the text? Or use the move tool to drag the text larger after simplifying it?
If not, try deleting prefs: quit PE, then restart while holding down command+shift+option. Say yes when you see the dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings. This won't help existing text, but if there was something wrong with the text tool it should clear it up for new text.

Colors locked in Photoshop Elements 6
I created a 1 layer TIFF file in Photoshop Elements 6 with text only which was distorted then flattened. The result was grey text on a white background. The problem is I can't change the color of the gray text.
I select the Foreground color icon on the tool bar at the left side, then I get the color pallet window, but no matter what color I select the Foreground color icon can only be gray or white (if I chose a lighter color).
Somehow 24 bits worth of color choices are converted to 1 bit (gray or white), and there's no obvious controls to change this, no F1 help guides and no obvious knowledgebase or forum comments. Does the file format, which is unknown to me, govern Photoshop operations (?), which would of course make absolutely no sense even if it were true, because that should only be an output formatting decision.

I have Photoshop Elements 8. I created a slideshow with music (mp3 file) but the music won't play. the slide show works fine.

If using an MP3 from iTunes try deleting the album art.

How to Import one slideshow from Photoshop Elements 5 into 8?

Please advise on how to import one slideshow created in Photoshop Elements 5 in to Photoshop Elements 8.
The customer is trying to do the same, but all he is getting is text captions, not the images.
I tried doing the same on my station, but could not re-create the problem.
Please advise. Any link would be highly appreciable.

It is not clear that he has imported it as wmv or pdf, but the slideshow has to be imported in such a manner that it can still be edited (Captions, effects etc.)
Creating a wmv or pdf will not allow the same.
Any Ideas?

Photoshop Elements 10 - 'Save As' text no longer displaying existing file, which matches the text so far entered

Photoshop Elements 10 (On Windows 8.1 64-bit laptop)
Until recently, 'save as' showed any existing file name, which exactly matched the text so far typed.
That's particularly useful when creating multiple photo files, with suffixes of '(1)', '(2)', etc.
Suddenly that great facility has stopped, forcing me to always type the complete file name for each new item.
I assume that a setting has been lost.
How do I get it back?

I held the keys down for at least 15 seconds in my previous attempts.
I’ve just tried the entries, holding the keys for around 30 seconds, with the same results (or lack of same).
Thinking about my thought of copying the Preference settings from the same program on my desktop, I looked on the Internet for Photoshop Elements 10 Preferences file locations. I found a display, which suggested: C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements (9.0\10.0\11.0)\Editor
From that, it appears that mine may be held in:
C:\Users\Fred Niven\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Editor
But I’m reluctant to copy any such file from my Windows 8.1 desktop’s Photoshop Elements 10’s file(s),
to replace the equivalent file(s) on this laptop, until I know that I’m replacing the correct file(s).
I’d create a System Restore Point beforehand anyway, just-in-case.

How do I get my slideshow in Photoshop Elements to make a DVD in Premiere?

I make my slide shows in Photoshop Elements and put them into Premiere Elements to burn them to a DVD and play it on my Blu-Ray player. I have made seven of these in Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8. They are about 30 minutes long. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. The people at Adope Photoshop Elements told me a number of different things to do - each person trying something different.
I bought Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 and have a new computer. Today I burned, by hit and miss, two DVD copies of a 30 minute slide show. They are perfect.. Now I can't get a different slide show to open up in Premiere Elements. It says Serious Error. Premiere is shutting down. It does not shut down. I did get it to burn one, and it left me with pictures with black all around them.
My pictures were 8x 10 and "Crop to fit" Today I learned they were way too many pixels. and to 1,000 x 750 pixels. I made a short slideshow doing this, and still couldn't get it to open in Premiere Elements.
When I finish making a slideshow, I go to Output and Save As a movie file. When this is finished I go to Output Edit with Premere Elements. When Premiere comes up I click on Open Product. From there I'm lost on just exactly what to do. Once I get the slideshow up on Premiere Elements I have no problem going to Share and burning the DVD.
Is this a common problem having problems getting the slide show to Premiere Elements, or just a lack of knowledge? I would someone telling me in simple steps just exactly what I need to do once I get to Premiere Elements.

Photoshop Elements 6 Slideshow Issues

Issues:
Ordering Slide Shows
They will not order in File Name order -- Must I do it manually? -- which is silly for a computer
Slide Show Photo Background
File name picked up as title/description which is perfect --
But cannot get a bigger background then picture
This means the title covers picture and / or does not show up well.
Ideally I would like a larger canvas on the bottom of the picture so the text can show up against black or some other color without covering the photo.
This should be easy with canvas size but I cannot get it to work in a slide show.
Should also be able to change text color
Do not mind buying an upgrade but want to make sure these issues can be solved
See these issues in boards but cannot find solutions.

the problem seems to be with the mp3,could please specify the size of the audio file which you were using and please try an audio file with a smaller size.

Credits for slideshow made in photoshop elements 6

I have just made a great slideshow for my dad's 80th birthday in photoshop elements 6. I would like to end it with a running credit or at least be able to set the last frame longer than 5 sec for a last effect. How can I do this? I downloaded a trial version of premeir elements 7, but I'm not sure that I can transfer my slideshow to this program. Any suggestions would be great. I would love to end the show with something special. Gaye

You either have to upgrade to CS3 for the ACR version that supports your camera, switch to Lightroom (that has the same ACR engine as CS3 or use the DNG route, download the (free) latest DNG converter and convert your raw files to dng, this can be opened in the ACR version CS2 uses. However you will miss some great features in ACR CS2 like fill light and recovery as well as clarity and vibrance that are in the CS3 edition.

Is Copy Paste Pans & Zooms Possible in Photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor Slideshow?

In the Photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor, someone wants to create a unique pan and zoom effect for one photo and be able to apply it the the rest of the photos in the Filmstrip without having to do that on an individual photo basis.
In the Slide Show Editor, Edit Menu/Apply Pan & Zoom to All Slides or Apply Pan & Zoom to Selected Slide(s) does not get the job done. Instead it looks like it just applies the default Photoshop Elements pan and zoom. I have investigated several routes to the goal unsuccesful and have concluded that Photoshop Elements Slide Show Editor offers no such copy paste pans & zoom feature.
I have detailed how to add more than one pan & zoom per slide, how to get the pan & zoom copy/paste job done in Premiere Elements, either doing all the pan & zoom in Premiere Elements or creating the pan & zoom in Photoshop Elements for one slide, using Send to Premiere Elements, Break Apart Adobe Photoshop Elements Slideshow, copy/paste of the transferred pan & zoom. Believe it or not, that does work. I know that there will be skeptics who feel that the pan & zoom timing would be distored, but....This person does not have or want Premiere Elements in the equation. So, I am looking for a way out for her.
I am posting the question here for someone to confirm my conclusion or offer a way that has escaped me. If someone has found a way, he/she will be fully created for the contribution and thanked.

Problem with text in photoshop elements 7

I am trying to make a recipe book from odd fun food on-line. Instead of typing all of the text in below the pictures of the food, I tried to copy it from the website and paste it onto photoshop 7. I selected "new" and then tried to paste, the option wasn't there. I then went back to the website and saved the text to my documents. I named it "pop". It was saved as "pop.txt". I went back to photoshop and tried to open the file. An error message appeared stating that "the file could not be opened because it is the wrong type of file". I then went back to the website and copied the text once again and pasted it onto Microsoft Works Word Processor. I saved it on there and it was saved as a ".wps" file. Once again photoshop could not open it because "it was the wrong type of file". All I want to to is to be able to copy text or a picture from a site or Word or whatever and then be able to paste it onto Photoshop Elements 7. Is this possible? If so, please tell me how. If not, please give me another alternative. I would appreciate it so very much! I have been trying to do this for 4 days now! Losing patience!!! Thank you!

You can use the type tool in photoshop elements 7.
1. copy your text as you did before. (i copied some your post)
2. In pse7, using the picture you want to paste the text in, select horizontal type tool.
3. Click on the image where you want your text (you can move the txt after you paste)
4. After you click on the image with the type tool, the cursor will blink.
Just right click and select paste.
5. Now your text is pasted into a editable type layer, which can be changed just like
any other type layer.

Once I click warp text, the little window does not pop up, and if I try to do anything else after I click warp text, it wont let me. Just sounds the ding, alert, can still slightly navigate the program but can not use any other tools after clicking warp text. I just have to open task manager and close the program. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or maybe I just need to uninstall and re install. Having trouble finding out how to uninstall and reinstall because the program came pre installed on my desktop.

It actually sounds like the warp text window is opening off screen.
Resetting the photoshop elements 10 preferences should fix it.
*Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after you start the launch of the photoshop elements 10 editor
*Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements setting file
*Press Yes

Made a slideshow using Photoshop Elements 9 that keeps crashing when I try to output it to movie file (wmv).
This message appear: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error
This is totally new to me as I have made a few slidshows before and saved them into wmv-files without any problem.I tried to open the file and renew it "save as" and did the whole procedure over again but it still crasches. There is no video in the slideshow and all pics are .jpg and to summarize it - 5 days of work is nearly gone if this doesent convert into a wmv-file..... Pls advise any suggestion what to try here.

Your crash has nothing to do with the junk filter. It looks more like a corrupt preferences file. If you're curious, you may check the validity of that file issuing the following command in Terminal:
plutil ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plistWhat does it say? Now, try this:
1. Quit Mail.
2. Make a backup copy of the HOME/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
3. In the Finder, go to HOME/Library/Preferences/. Locate the file com.apple.mail.plist and move it to the Desktop (to be deleted if this fixes the problem).
You'll have to set up your accounts from scratch all over again. If given the option to import existing mailboxes or something like that, don't. Just enter the account information and Mail will automagically rediscover the data in HOME/Library/Mail/ when done.
You'll also have to re-configure most of your settings in Mail > Preferences. The first thing you should do is go to Preferences > Viewing and disable "Display remote images in HTML messages" if it's enabled.
