Photoshop Elements 8 and Canon Powershot G15.

I have Photoshop Elements 8 and a Canon Powershot G15. I need to download Raw from this camera, which appears to be impossible, although it will download from my Nikon D60. Do I need a plug in to achieve the result with the Powershot; if so what will it cost and how do I get it? Thanks,

Hi,
The G15 is supported in Camera Raw 7.3 (or later) which, unfortunately, is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 8.
You can either upgrade to Photoshop Elements 11 (or later) or download and install the free Adobe DNG converter. You copy your CR2 to a folder and then give the DNG converter that folder name. The converter will then convert those files to the DNG format. the DNG files can then be used by Photoshop Elements 8.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to open the .cr2 files off my canon powershot g12 in elements 7. I know that the RAW update would be found in CAMERARAW 6.3 which is only for elements 9 and have installed the lastest compatible (5.4) on my system. Is there any way for me to open my files or will I have to upgrade or even switch to a different programme?

I don't know if the language version has anything to do with it, but DNG isn't as universal as it was promoted as being and it's not always backwards compatible. You might try some of the different settings in the DNG converter prefs and see if they make any difference.

Photoshop elements 13 and canon protoprinter pro driver

I installed elements 13 to my computer and my automation tools such as canon photoprinter pro printer are no longer visible. Yje driver still exsists for my photoshop elements 12 and prints without a problem. I reinstalled the canon drivers without and chnage to photoshop elements 13.
There must be an issue with elements 13.1. Any ideas?

Photoshop Elements 9 and Canon 5D Mark II raw files

Does the newest Elements now open the Canon 5D Mark II raw files? I called their customer service number and the women I talked to seemed uncertain about it. I have CS5 at home, and of course, there is no problem opening those files. But at work, they only have Elements and the past versions wouldn't open these files. Hoping the new version will. Yes photoshop elements 9 will open them.
Depending on which photoshop elements versions you have at work,
you may just have to update the camera raw plugin to open those files.

Photoshop Elements 12 and Canon 70 D

I have a new Canon 70 D and have Photoshop Elements 12.I am unable to open RAW files.
I down loaded DNG converter version 8.5 for windows but it still doesn't work.

Just go to Editor>Help>updates and update camera raw. (This won't work if you're using XP or Vista.)

PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 7 AND CANON ZOOMBROWSER

I have just bought elements 7 and wish to import all my photos with their keyword tags into elements, but the keywords do not seem to transfer. Please can anyone help?

I just confirmed that my ZoomBrowser EX (6.1.1) isn't writing the keywords into the industry-standard EXIF fields that other programs like PSE know how to read. Instead it's keeping them in the file "zb4meta.info" in the same folder as the photos. (You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files to see this file.) That file is in a format that only ZoomBrowser understands.
Looking at the file, it would be straightforward to write a reasonably simple script that would write the keywords and comments into the files' EXIF fields. Perhaps someone on the Internet has already written such a program, or you have a friend proficient in scripting.

Have Canon 7d MK2 and Photoshop Elements 12 and I cannot open my RAW FILES

I have a CANON 7D MK2 and PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 and I cant open my RAW files

The 7D Mark II requires ACR plug-in 8.7 which came out after PSE13 was the current version so you can upgrade or use the DNG Converter 8.7 or newer to create DNGs from the CR2s and those DNGs will work with the older ACR plug-in versions.

Photoshop Elements 13 and RAW files from Canon 7DMII?

I just received a Canon 7D Mark II and need some editing software that can handle it's RAW images. I currently use Photoshop Elements 11 and really like it but the version of Camera RAW in that software cannot take the 7DMII files even though I did the Camera RAW upgrade that was available. If I have to get more software, I would prefer to get Photoshop Elements 13 over Lightroom. Can anybody tell me if Elements 13 has the version of Camera RAW that can accept those files? IPhoto with Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and Adobe Bridge

I have not used iPhoto before now as I have been downloading photos from my Canon and Nikon cameras using their software. I have now moved everything into iPhoto but cannot find iPhoto using Adobe Bridge so I am unable to do any editing using Elements 4. Previously I could find the Canon and Nikon photos using Adobe Bridge. With a simple click on the relevant photo it opened up in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and I was able to edit it. Now using Bridge I simply cannot find iPhoto thus I cannot use PSE4. Can someone help before I go crazy ? I havde called Apple support but they have been unable to help me and suggested using Discussions@Apple

Many thanks for your quick response although, as a new iMac user, the mere mention of the word "corrupt" scares me ! I previously used a PC with Windows XP and PSE3 and loved being able to sort all my photos into albums with PSE3. Unfortunately the PSE4 which I have installed on my iMac doesn't let users sort their photos into albums and the only alternative is Adobe Bridge. I only recently started to use iPhoto after a visit to an Apple Store and it's great being able to catalog my photos so easily. Unfortunately PSE is far and away superior to any editing software that iPhoto has to offer. Anyway, I'll cross my fingers and try your suggestion first thing tomorrow morning.

Canon PowerShot G15 IS or Canon PowerShot S110 IS?

I am downgrading and going from two cameras to one. I currently have Nikon D5100 and Canon Powershot SX260, but just want one that is small to fit in my purse or bigger bag, but high enough quality to get some great shots of the kids sports and our fun times. I do enjoy editing so shooting in RAW is a plus. So far, I have seen the G15 and S110 and reviews have been great on both. Any advice as to which one would be best? (video is not a huge concern, just a bonus)
I'm not particularly stuck on only the G15 or S110, just those are the ones I've seen that appear to be quite compact compared to bringing my D5100 everywhere.

so, now after following the linked instructions...
1. I'v installed ACR 8.4 and it's opening the RAW files from 70D, but in camera profile I have "matrix"
in case with 60D RAWs ther was portrait, landscape, etc...
2. The step wit installing the DNG converter I download the DNG converter 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3. - the reason is to add in the system camera profile that I want
every one of them do not install - just nothing happen after doubleclick (!?)
only one that install and run it's 7.1 which dont support 70D RAW files....
it's amazing how to put all this to work propertly
any ideas?

Generally, it's ok to install on two machines as long as they are both yours and you only use one version at a time.

you need your serial number. you used your redemption number to redeem your serial number.
