Photoshop elements 8 orginizer wont run on win 7

Just got my New PSE8 8 hoping it would identify my watched folders unlike PSE7.
I can get the editor to run. But when I try to select the Orginizer it starts thje pannel comes up for approx 10 sec then goes away. I can not get it to come back. I see the task running but to noavail can I get this to work.  I totally removed pse7 and cleaned up the registery.  Adobe support is non existant.
I have set it to xp and vista compatabilty and admin also. Ive updated video drivers and quicktime. I use Itunes 64.  PSE7 did not have this issue.
Im on a Intel dual core 8 gig memory and win7 64 home premimum.
Did I just piss away 50 bucks?

Try updating the licensing service:
http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Install_the_licensing-serv ice
If that doesn't help, then I think you'll need to work through the long, tedious list of troubleshooting:
http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Troubleshooting_Organizer_ crashes
Even if you've tried some of these before, try the steps again exactly as described.

  • Photoshop Elements 9 can't launch on win 7

Suddenly Photoshop Elements 9 can't launch on win 7.
I click it for many times but No Responding
It was available from I bought it to last week.

I speak English badly for I'm from PRC...Don't laugh at me...OTZ
    Thanks for helping me

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application in Program Files (x86)
    C: >> Program Files >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 9
Within the Photoshop elements 9 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Select that file and click Next.
    Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by double clicking on the new desktop icon, bypassing the welcome screen.

  • Photoshop Elements 12 does not install on Win 8.1 64bit

    Hi!
My system: Windows 8.1 64 bit with all patches, 32GB Ram and engough HD space.
    I downloaded PSE 12 32bit and Premiere Elements 12 64bit. Both won't install.
    Problems:
Premiere: Installation fails when shared components should be installed. I spent more than 2hrs trying every tip I found in forums. Same result.
Photoshop: It always tries to deinstall Elements 12 (which is definetely not installed) and fails becaus of "Specified path is empty". It was never fully installed. I cleaned all folders manually, I deleted registry entries according forum advise. I rebooted. I put the installation files onto C:. Before I installed, I deinstalled Elements 9. I also cleaned those files. An no, I did not deinstall my Antivirus. I cannot deactivate it and deinstalling is a very very bad option.
    What I already tried:
    10 reboots
    Deinstall old version
    Clean Temp folder
    Clean Registry
Delete all folders and hopefull all registry "Elements" entries
    Archive OOBE Folder
    Moved installation Files to C:
    Start Installation as Administrator
Monitored if any other Adobe program is running - killed all
Any help is much apreshiated. I am desperate and about to return the products.
    Michael
    Added solution attempts.

Ok, I had many problems with the installation, but after three attempts I've got it working. This might work with a previously failed installation - but there are other guides in the forum to get this position -thanks also to the many threads on the this - which pointed me in the right direction
Previously I'd had issues with Error 1935, (on Shared Technologies), Blue screens due to clbudf.sys from Cyberlink Instant burn which blue screened (thread abort exception) this install as also iTunes. (I haven't installed this now...
    My scenario. Win 7 (clean) -> Win 8 -> Win 8.1
After setting up the setting up the system.
I ensured the following : (although begrudingly) so I could do a system restore if needed.
    -I disabled Anitvirus & Firewall
    -enabled Volume Shadow Copy Service
I then ensured I had downloaded Adobe Application Manager 8.0 (read this may help) - I installed - but I did not run it as I believe it updates to Adobe CC Manager( from previous attempts)
i also downloaded and installed the 32 bit versions of :
    C++2008 redistributable (32 bit)
    C++2008 SP1 redistributable (32 bit)
I installed Premiere Elements (64 bit) - note I had previously installed Sony Vegas 10 Platinum, which downloaded and installed NET 3.5/Net 2.0 adding to windows features, which many have helped - not sure.
I installed Photoshop Elements (32 bit)
I started both apps and updated them to 12.1.
Happy ... finally - hope this helps others - or at least helps adobe improve their installer, diagnose the issue for others.

  • Photoshop Elements 2 not working in new Win 7 PC

I have a new PC and my Photoshop Elements 2
is not working properly on it. Are they incompatable? May I download a patch to make it work on Win 7?
If I have to upgrade, which one to upgrade to? I'm a novice, not an expert so I don't need any full version high powered product.
Thank you, in advance, for your thoughts here.

A number of people have reported getting PSE 2 to work on Windows 7 by using the various compatibility options on Windows 7:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshop-elements-faq.htm#_Run_in_Vista
If you choose to upgrade to a newer version, definitely go with the latest, PSE 8, which is the only one that Adobe promises will work on Windows 7 (though earlier versions do indeed run).

  • Sir, My Photoshop Element programme is not running.  Because of 'too many activations'.

    Sir,
My Photoshop Element Programme has been suspended due to too many activation.
I can only think this is due to Hard Drive failure on my PC.
Initially reformate and re-install on same drive.  But this drive Failed too.
I then replaced it with a New Drive and re-installed, but cannot get my programme running due to too many activations.
    HELP.

  • Photoshop Elements now refuses to run

Photoshop Elements 4.0 now refuses to run on my Intel Macbook (10.4.10). It used to work flawlessly. One day, it just refused to open. The loading screen would come up, then it would crash and say "Photoshop Elements has unexpectedly quit." Nothing changed on my computer between the last time I used and when it started to crash. No new software, no updates etc. I have tried doing these things to fix the problem:
    -Rebooting
-Deleting the Photoshop Elements .plist file
-Using a different user account on my computer
-Repairing permissions on my hard drive
-Uninstalling Photoshop Elements and reinstalling it
All of which have failed to work. Nothing I have done has been able to work.

    Thanks, Barbara.
In no particular order, while the images are from the same camera, I get the same problem with images from other sources scanned in with my Epson 4490 scanner.
I run diskwarrior from time to time, but not on a regular basis. Is it not a good utility to use?
I am sure I deleted the twain driver, certainly from the import/export file you mentioned. There is no other mention when I use 'Find'.
There a lot of caches. I have deleted the Opera cache.

  • What is the latest photoshop elements version that will run on Windows Millenium?  Thanks for your help!

Does anyone know what the latest Photoshop Elements version is that will run on Windows Millenium?  Thanks for your help!

PSE 2, I think. I know that's the last one with ME listed in the sys reqs. PSE 3 might have worked, but adobe never said it would.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer wont open "DirectX is installed but could not be initialized. Reboot your system and relaunch Organizer"

All of a sudden, I go to open Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and get this message in a box:
"DirectX is installed, but could not be initialized.  Please reboot your system and relaunch Organizer."
Using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Office 2010 Home and Student on a Dell T3500 workstation with 3.20Ghz Xeon Processor, 12 GB Ram and a 2GB EVGA 650ti Boost graphics card.
The only thing I can think of since the last time I used PSE10 Organizer was the October, 2014 Windows updates were installed.
Any ideas anyone, Adobe seems fairly silent on this issue, and there is not much info out there on this for a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit system.
    Please help.

All Windows OS updates installed, all Norton Internet Security updated daily.
Went to Microsoft to try downloading DirectX just in case that was the problem, and they say you already have the newest version.
Still receive the same message.  I'm at a loss, not sure what to do.

  • Photoshop within Photoshop Elements 11 won't run- MacBook Pro late 2007, OS 10.6.8, 2Gb RAM, 2.2 GHz

I've installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a MacBook Pro- late 2007, OS 10.6.8, 2Gb RAM, 2.2GHz. The Organizer component launches fine and seems to be working, but Photoshop does not. It starts loading for a few seconds and then quits.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 won't run with the new Yosemite OS. How can I fix this?

Ever since we updated to Yosemite OS we've had so many problems with our programs. I can't even open Photoshop Elements 10. Is there any way to fix this?

First of all, don't try to sign in. Photoshop.com is dead and gone and PSE will hang forever looking for the non-existent servers. Just start the editor or organizer directly from the application file and use that. The editor is this one, not the one at the top level of the PSE 10 folder in applications:
Also, it's very important to delete existing preferences on upgrading OS X:
