Photoshop elements 9 and epson v500

Can't get the epson scanner to work with photoshop elements 9. it continues to crash

You may need to copy the Adobe TWAIN driver, if your scanner requires it, from the optional plug-ins folder to the Import-Export folder in the main plug-ins folder.
You will need to copy the plug-in Twain_32.8ba
Copy from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Optional Plug-Ins\Import-Export
Copy to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export.
On Macintosh, copy the ImportModules folder to plug-ins.
Copy from:
//Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 9/Support Files/Optional Plug-Ins/
Copy to:
//Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 9/Support Files//Plug-Ins/
N.B. The app store version of Elements has a different file path.　
N.B. on Windows 32 bit systems navigate to Program Files.

In PSE you need to install the TWAIN driver:

I have a color management problem. I have OS X v 10.5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, and an Epson Stylus Photo R800. I want to print images I have scanned on a Epson Perfection 1660 Photo and corrected in Photoshop and get the colors accurate.

I used the ColorSync utility to verify, and it came back with this report:

I did not know what to do next. At the bottom of the window it said to go to www.apple.com/colorsync to find a tutorial. I got a message saying that link does not work. Tried to find the tutorial by searching at apple.com, but could not seem to locate it. Does anyone know what the report above means and what I should do about it?
Also, how to find that tutorial?
Re Using RGB all the way through, When I print from Photoshop Elements, I select Adobe RGB, Photoshop Manages under "Color Handling", Relative Colometric under "Intent" and "ColorSync" i the Epson printer box. Do you mean to do something different in this sequence?

Barbara Brundage, can you help with PS Elements 11 and Epson R2000 printer issue?

Seeking help with PS Elements 11 which does not work with Epson r2000 printer. Epson tech support could not fix, said it is PS e11 problem. Receive prompt on PS e11 screen when I try to print stating "not compatible or settings are not correct. Have set PS to manage color and printer manages color to off. Sincerely appreciate your help. Running Windows 7 on a Dell XPS420. System has been very stable for years. Before purchasing the Epson r2000, I owned an r1800 which was an excellent printer but after seven years started to exhibit paper feed problems. The r1800 worked with all applications and I was well satisfied with the saturation, contrast, etc. printing mostly 8x10 and 11x17 prints.
Thank you for the information about the # of installs for PS E11, will try uninstall/reinstall this morning.

IPhoto with Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and Adobe Bridge

I have not used iPhoto before now as I have been downloading photos from my Canon and Nikon cameras using their software. I have now moved everything into iPhoto but cannot find iPhoto using Adobe Bridge so I am unable to do any editing using Elements 4. Previously I could find the Canon and Nikon photos using Adobe Bridge. With a simple click on the relevant photo it opened up in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and I was able to edit it. Now using Bridge I simply cannot find iPhoto thus I cannot use PSE4. Can someone help before I go crazy ? I havde called Apple support but they have been unable to help me and suggested using Discussions@Apple

Many thanks for your quick response although, as a new iMac user, the mere mention of the word "corrupt" scares me ! I previously used a PC with Windows XP and PSE3 and loved being able to sort all my photos into albums with PSE3. Unfortunately the PSE4 which I have installed on my iMac doesn't let users sort their photos into albums and the only alternative is Adobe Bridge. I only recently started to use iPhoto after a visit to an Apple Store and it's great being able to catalog my photos so easily. Unfortunately PSE is far and away superior to any editing software that iPhoto has to offer. Anyway, I'll cross my fingers and try your suggestion first thing tomorrow morning.

Generally, it's ok to install on two machines as long as they are both yours and you only use one version at a time.

How do I update Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe Premiere Elements 9 on a new computer?

I have previously used both Adobe Photoshop elements 9 and Adobe Premiere elements 9 on my old computer with Windows XP operating system without problems. Now I have a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit operating system. I have installed both programs but when I try to update them I get a message saying "The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily or the internet or firewall setting may be incorrect. Please try again later." I have tried numerous times with the same result. I have tried uninstalling both programs and re-installing but still get the same message. What do I have to do to be able to update these programs so I can get on and use them? The information with the programs says they both work on both Windows XP and 7.

A few months ago I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 12 and Adobe premiere elements 12 to my old laptop. But a few weeks ago I had to buy a new computer and that one has no cd drive :S How can I install my programs on my new computer?

There isn't much good news to offer. The first mention below is probably your only shot without purchase, unless you could find someone to transfer licenses with.
You won't be able to install a Windows version on the Mac unless you install some Windows emulation software on the Mac.
You won't be able to activate a Mac version of the software on the machine because your license/serial number is only valid for Windows.
CS5 is too old to qualify for a platform swap and Adobe no longer sells CS5 so you would have to take your chances with a third party vendor if you decided to purchase a Mac version.
Just to clarify, there is no such thing as a student version of the software... the license dictates the status of the software. So you won't be able to find a student version either

Hi, Yes you are correct in iPhoto Prefernces, Advanced tab editing I used to have iPhoto and "Use external editor.". It changed to iPhoto and iPhoto Library. I have einstaleed PSE 9 and downloaded the update. There is still no lkink to external editor in the drop down box. What are the problems with Photoshop Elements 10 and iPhoto in Mountain Lion?

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and would like to install it on my new iMac with Mountain Lion. I have read about compatibilty issues with iPhoto. Is there a way to correct this or is PSE 11 a better option?
