Photoshop Elements 9 Gives Me the Following message when I try to open it?

"Adobe Photshop Elements 9 has stopped working"
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availble.
Adobe Premier works fine. Looking for a solution that will allow me to use photoshop.

Try resetting the PSE preferences by
1. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Edit.
2. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall.

I just tried that and it partially fixed the problem, when I refresh a page it no longer takes me to Wikipedia! Can you get to the Welcome Screen? It looks like this:
If you can get to this screen then try holding three keys simultaneously: CTRL+ALT+SHIFT and also clicking on the Editor icon in the above picture and see if you get another small window such as:
You just need to click on Yes button to reset everything to defaults but this is not a panacea to all problems of PSE. This is just a start.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). This error message will appear erraneously, if you skipped the update to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5.1 and went straight from an earlier MacOS X version to Yosemite, without first updating to iPhoto 9.5.1 and associating iPhoto to your AppleID.
Try first to buy iPhoto with your AppleID instead of updating. Delete iPhoto from Applications, but don't empty the Trash, then go to the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto. If you are lucky, it will show as free and you can buy it directly.
If iPhoto is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support: Ask for a redemption code. You will need to provide a prove of purchase for your mac with iPhoto preinstalled.

Open Pictures folder and move the files named lrcat-journal and lrcat.lock to Desktop.
Make sure that , they are not inside Pictures folder any more and try to open backup from Lighrtroom and check..
Any LRcat file with .lock extension , move it to Desktop.

Which way are you trying to update? WiFi or iTunes? In either case, I would try restarting/rebooting all devices and then try again.
IF you are using iTunes, eject your iPad, quit iTunes, reboot your computer and reset your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen. After the iPad starts up, connect to iTunes and try again. You may also want to disable your firewall and antivirus software when you try to update using iTunes. Sometimes those will interfere with the download.
If you are using WiFi, reset the iPad as described above and try again.
If WiFi updating will not work, try using iTunes, if iTunes will not work, try using WiFi.
