  • How do I find the pull down bar that shows File-View-Bookmarks-History etc on FF 3.6.6

Downloaded FF 3.6.6 However I don't see the pull down task bar that shows File-View-Bookmarks-Tools etc. How do I find this?

Hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.

    Hi slobberdog,
Please check out this post regarding the same issue in Acrobat 8. The solution applies to Acrobat 9 as well: How do I restore the PDF menu bar (File-Edit-View)?

  • Removing the top most bar that shows Firefox logo, min/max option and 'x' to close window

How do I run Firefox with the top most bar which has the Firefox logo on left and the "minimize window", maximize" and the "X" that closes the window? (Windows 7 - 64 bits and Linux).
    Thanks!

Firefox's "full screen" view does that automatically. You can use the F11 function key to enter and exit full screen mode.
By default, the tab bar and Navigation Toolbar also are hidden in full screen view. To keep those displayed, move your mouse pointer to the top of the screen and they should slide down temporarily. Right-click a blank area of the tab bar or right-click the new tab ("+") button and uncheck "Hide Toolbars". When you move your mouse away, they should stay on the screen.
Is that closer to what you're looking for?

  • Hello, I lost the serial number of Photoshop Elements 6 and I lost the box.

Hello, I lost the serial number of Photoshop Elements 6 and I lost the box. How can I do thanks for the help.

Did you ever install and register it? If so, you can find the serial number by going to the main page of adobe.com and looking for My Adobe (it was up by the search box on the upper right the last time I looked, but it moves around). Work through the links there and you can retrieve it from adobe's records. You might want to consider writing it on the disc itself for future reference.

  • Is Photoshop Elements organizer 9 compatible with the most current version?

I have a large photo collection organized with Photoshop Elements 9 organizer.  I am hoping that i can import the album data file (tags, names, folders, etc.) into the newest Photoshop Elements organizer, version 13.
    Thoughts or suggestions?
I would hate to have to re-label thousands of pictures.

    Thank you!
I plan to purchase a new computer shortly and move all image files along with the Adobe album information/data file to the same directory on the new machine.  I was hoping that when i was installing the new software, the old data file would be recognized and it would be upgraded/imported into the new PSE13 album.
I have over 6,000 carefully tagged photographs, and i don't want to re-tag photos.

  • I have lost the top three lines (toolbars?), containing File, Edit, etc; back button, home, etc; and most visited, etc. How can I get them back?

Somehow, I have deleted the top three rows from my home page. All I have left is the AOL home page. I need to get back the "File, Edit, View, etc." line, and the "Page back arrow, Home icon, etc."

    * In Firefox 3.6 versions on Windows and Firefox 4 on Windows and Linux it's possible to hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu of a toolbar.
    * Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

  • I have lost the top box that has the arrows and www address window

I was playing around with the top tabs and lost the top box that has the arrows and www address box at the top of the screen and the star thing. How do I reinstall this box?

View > Toolbars - Navigation toolbar
If the Menu bar is missing (View isn't appearing), hit the '''Alt''' key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.

  • I have Firefox 7.0 and I cannot alphabetize bookmarks that are online. I can alphabetize the ones on the first line where you see file, edit, view etc. But not under Bookmarks

I am trying to alphabetize both the separate websites and also the folders, I cannot do the folders. I have read every article, I tried the import, export function, I tried snyc, nothing seems to work. The bookmark folders are in the Yahoo tool bar that is added.

    Me again,
A friend suggested that I do a system restore.
I did a search for system restore in Windows 7 and got a very intuitive menu.
I selected an earlier system restore point and executed the restore.
After the computer restart I reloaded Firefox 5.0 and the Ask.com problem was corrected.
My friend says this approach may work about 25% of the time to fix this kind of problem. In my case it worked and I am happy.
    Thanks all.

  • Page Forward & Reverse buttons do not work & are "grayed-out" after upgrading to, as is the Main-Menu Items such as File-Edit-view etc...

After upgrading to Firefox 3.6.12 all functionality appeared to be intact. Then after a few days it lost the ability to "page forward" or to "page back" and are "grayed-out". Additionally, the Main menu items such as File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help are also grayed-out and non-functioning.
Also, the "Search Window" does not search, Web Searches need to be performed from within the URL window instead, for some crazy reason. If the URL window is blank when I enter a search into the actual search window the following appears in the URL window, "Search Bookmarks and History", which makes no sense.
I have noticed similar complaints in this Forum in the past but I have not seen any posted resolution to these issues. Is there a solution?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

  • I have no toolbar when I installed Mozilla eg. file, edit, bookmarks etc

I installed Mozilla Firefox as I recently ungraded from Vista to Windows 7. When Firefox installed the home page did not show toolbar with file, edit, bookmarks etc. across the top.

    Hello Julie.
    It's called the Menu Bar.
Press ALT or F10 in your keyboard to make the Menu Bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be permanently visible, go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'', or right-click the Navigation Toolbar (the Reload button, for example) and select ''Menu Bar''.
If this doesn't help, right-click the navigation toolbar, select ''Customize...'' and click ''Restore Default Set''. If it doesn't appear right away, try pressing ALT or F10. You can go into ''View > Toolbars > Menu Bar'' to make it permanently visible, or right-click the Navigation Toolbar and select ''Menu Bar''.
If none of this helps, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Try disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal.

  • I have lost the Firefox 4 bar on top.

I had downloaded 4 the other day and it kept crashing. Removed and re-downloaded. Program works fine now but I don't have the new menu bar anymore.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
    *Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
    *Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.

  • How do I get the Menu Bar to show File, Edit, Find, View, etc. in the Organize view?

All I can find is two little > which is very hard to see.  However if I click on it it does have all the titles there.

Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE9 requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t.
Try a setting of 115% or 116% otherwise 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE9 requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality.
