Photoshop_elements_9_organizer_display

Question

I have enjoyed photography as a profession and a hobby for many years ,I am 66 years old , about 3 years ago I started moving myself fully into the digital age , bought a computer and did all my own upgrades , bought a digital camera and have been trying to teach myself digital photo editing , I  have photoshop elements 9 and premier elements 9  , I have had them for at least a couple years with no problems , but just here lately when I try to open the organizer in either program I click on it and it pauses for a second then closes the program so I cant get access to the organizer no matter what I have tried , anyone who can give me a clue as to what to try I would be eternally grateful .    thank you sincerly yours [email protected]

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Organizer and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files (x86)
Inside the Adobe >> Elements 9 Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
Click image to enlarge
Select it and click OK
Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.
You can set up a similar direct link to the Editor application (.exe file which has the blue PSE icon). As before take out Photoshop Elements just leaving the description Editor and it will show up clearly on the desktop.
Go to (note slightly different path) C: Program files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9
Select the Editor application.
