Photoshop elements 9 serial number/activate on new MacBook pro

I have photoshop elements 9 on my laptop but I have just bought a MacBook Pro how do I get my photoshop elements into my mac? I got my pc and photoshop pre installed So I don't know the original apple id used to activate it. I have the box and discs but my macbook doesnt have a cd reader..When I follow all the steps and type in the serial number from the box it doesn't work?? Hope you can help me as I really do need to get photoshop onto my macbook ASAP

I can only suggest this but there is no guarantee that it will work.
1) Try to download the PSE9 for Apple MAC from this link:

2) When downloading it, make sure you know where you hare saving it.
Once the downloading is complete, you need to install it. Now I don't
use Apple MAC so I don't know how the installation works in Apple but in
Windows it is a matter of double clicking on the exe file and follow the
instructions on the screen.
3) This method normally works in Windows but Barbara will conform this
for Apple Mac. Also, the serial number in the boxed version is
sometimes platform free in that it can be used for either Windows or
Apple MAC but this might be country specific so you need to try it if it
works.

Hopefully your software has been registered with Adobe, or you have proof of purchase.

Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh? If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized. Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. Where are you looking for the serial number?
If you have the disks, the number commencing 1057 is usually inside the packaging. It’s necessary to pull out the white inner box.
If you purchased this some while ago and the product, the serial number should be in your Adobe account. Click on the red Adobe logo (top left on this web page) sign-in with your Adobe ID (email & password) and choose Manage Account. You should be able to browse your purchase history and registered products.

As I said in your other thread, PSE 4 has not been compatible with OS X since around 10.4. It will not install in 10.8. PSE 6 is the oldest version you can use. PSE 4 is a PPC application and 10.8 requires intel software.

You are going to need both serial numbers if you want to install Lightroom 5, because it is an upgrade and bolts serial numbers are required. If you registered Lightroom 5 with Adobe when you first installed it then you can find your serial number on your Adobe account.

I bought a new in the box photoshop elements 12 just before christmas new in the box from Amazon. I tried to install but it said the serial number was invalid. I talked to help staff for hours and could not get it to work. Did this issue ever get fixed? Is there a version of photoshop elements that will work? Photoshop Elements 11 serial number invalid after computr reset

I reset my computer (Windows 8 OS) and all programs installed through disc were deleted. I need to reinstall Photoshop Elements 11, but when I entered my product's serial number it said it was invalid. The program was completely erased from my system, and yet it is still activated. Is there any way to deactivate it without the program being on my system? Is there any way to reinstall it at all?

you don't need to deactivate if you're installing on the same computer (as long as there were no major hardware changes).

How can I tell what version of PhotoShop Elements my serial number corresponds to?

I need to reinstall Photoshop Elements Mac. I went to my Adobe Account and it lists Photoshop Elements and the its serial number, but it doesn't specify which version it corresponds to.
