Photoshop elements crashing.  Even after complete removal and re-installation

In the middle of a project Photoshop Elements Organizer (Photoshop Elements 13) began crashing.  I uninstalled the program, rebooted the computer and re-installed a new download.  Still the crashing continues.  I am running Win 8.1 64-bit.  Here is a picture of the error message

  • Changing default province even after completing billing and shipping address correctly?

I intend to buy in Apps Store, though I completed billing and shipping info with complete address, I am forced to enter value in Province field whereas it is not a mandatory field in my place of stay. Any hints are appreciated.

As I reside in a country with no Province, the field is not applicable. however, I am forced to enter this value when I intend to buy an App in App Store. Is there a way to make this field optional?

no crash ids since this is version 3.6, the only version that doesn't crash, and I have to use Firefox for work stuff.
I have submitted over a hundred crash reports and included my email, but no one has ever contacted me with any help. This has been going on for weeks. I have been forced to use an outdated version of FF because no one has bother to get back to me. I would be happy to update to 14 and start the crash cycle again if someone wants to give me some suggestions I haven't tried already.
BTW, no font conflicts or RAM problems, (someone else's issue)

Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,
    so here ya go.

  • Strange visual corruption of Firefox 7.0.1, persists after complete removal and reinstall

I noticed this a couple of days ago but my firefox appears 'distorted' almost like everything is scribbled. The text isn't smooth or distinct, all borders don't appear even and it persists through all menus, sub-menus, every website, etc.
No other software on my system is experiencing this, and my laptop install of Firefox is just fine. I have a screenshot to compare between FF7.0.1 and the most recent build of Chrome.
While this only started a few days ago I did recently install a new video card, ATI HD 6750, however no other software is affected in the same way.
I've attempted to run a full removal of Firefox and reinstall but the problem persists after reinstallation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Additional:
I ran FF in safe mode and that corrected the visual corruption but there were no differences in add-ons etc so still no idea what the fundamental cause of the issue is. Please see attached screenshot for clarity

  • Applications Panel is blank even after complete uninstall and reinstall.

I have a client who is having an odd issue. His applications panel under options is completely blank. He is having issues with opening downloaded files and viewing videos in the browser window. I have uninstalled firefox, removed his profile, removed all folders associated with firefox. Removed the mozilla/firefox folders in the appdata folders. Followed the instructions for resetting download actions here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_and_download_actions#Resetting_download_actions and here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Download_Actions_list_is_empty . I have also reset firefox using the troubleshooting tools.
Nothing seems to work except for running Firefox under a new windows profile which is an unacceptable solution.
Is there anything else I can try. My client said he used to use MozBackup to backup/restore his FF profile and settings. I have searched for issues relating to that program but turned up nothing.

Sorry, I seemed to have overlooked that in the second link.
If there are any extensions (I don't see any in the System Details you copied over - if that is the case then please skip down to the next section), you can try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] to see if that fixes it. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes). If the dialog appears fine in Safe Mode, please follow the article [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] - if you have a lot of extensions it might be better to disable half of the extensions to see if that fixes the problem (if it does, the problematic extension is in the half you disabled, otherwise it is in the half that is still enabled).
Since Firefox works fine in a new profile, an alternative could be to transfer all of the important data (bookmarks, passwords, etc.) to the new profile. Please see [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]], or [[Recovering important data from an old profile]] for more information on what to transfer. Be sure not to copy over the ''mimeTypes.rdf'' file in case that file corrupts the new profile.
You can set that new profile to always run by checking "Use the selected profile without asking at startup" in the profile manager. Please see [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]] if you are not sure how to access this feature.

  • Firefox keeps telling me to upgrade. Even after complete uninstall and installing the newest version. Also, each time I restart my desktop I have to acknowledge about 12 add-ons. After that all works fine. Even when I restart Firefox.

I already tried uninstalling all add ons and then reinstall them again. Can the problem be related to the Siphon add on (which I no longer use)?

You posted your troubleshooting information in another thread ([[/questions/907656]]) that seems to indicate that you use or have used that profile folder with a lot of Firefox versions and are overriding the compatibility check (extensions.checkCompatibility.12.0).
You need to use a separate profile for each Firefox version if you want to use multiple Firefox versions.

bought photoshop elements 11 last year for windows and using it in my desktop. The desktop is crashed now and not usable. So I bought iMac now. Is it possible to trade over or change the licence into iMac version for a small fee. If not , can I partition the hard drive of iMac and install windows and also photoshop elements? which is the best alternative ? why?

A Photoshop Elements license is good for both Mac and Windows so it should be just a matter of downloading the Mac version and using your current serial number to activate it.

Help please! I have been using Mountain Lion for a few weeks but Finder, System Prefferences and the App Store won't load and/or keep crashing even after reinstalling the OS. How do to fix it?

You need to check to make sure you are actually connected to the network.  Tap Settings > WiFi >and then tap the blue ">" next to the network name with checkmark.  You should see a complete set of IP address but if the router didn't issue you an IP address properly, you will see your touch IP address start with 169.x.  If this is the case, you are connected to the internal network but not to the web.
First thing to do (while you are on that screen) is tap "Forget Network".  Then turn WiFi off.  Turn it back on and, if needed, tap Other and re-enter your network information.  If you continue to have problems, check with your IT department on Monday.
In the meantime, your laptop and iTunes can be used to purchase apps and music.  Syncing them with your touch is a great way to get them installed while you are waiting for the answer on your WiFi problem.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 won't complete installation and won't uninstall.

Photoshop Elements 10 won't complete the installation process and it won't uninstall using the uninstall utility (I get an error message).  So I tried deleting all files manually.  However, when I re-insert Disc #1 it only offers to uninstall Elements 10 - which it won't do (same error message).  So I can't go forward (install) or backward (uninstall).  My computer is a Dell Studio 1555 with 4 GB of RAM, 64-bit OS, running on Vista Home Premium.  I have 180 GB free of 283 GB on the C drive.

If the app is designed correctly, the no, you won't. However, you'd have to ask the people who wrote the software, Adobe.

    Hi All
    We have:
    - Mac Book Pro (15" two and a half years old)
    - OS X 10.6.8
    - Photoshop Elements 4
It has all been working fine, then suddenly Photoshop Elements has started to crash. It will load up and if you leave it on the 'Welcome' screen with the 'Start From Scratch', 'Import from camera or scanner', 'Recent images' etc options, it is fine. Once you open an image or start a new one, it is ok for a short while but with in a minute or two it crashes. It doesn't crash when you specifically click on anything. It can crash with the image just on the screen and you not touching the laptop. It crashes straight out to 'Problem Report for Photoshop Elements'.
We are seeing no other applications having any problems.
The top of the crash report is as follows (if more of it is useful, please just ask - it is very long):

Right, not had a chance to grab some one elses laptop and swap things, but I have done this..
This laptop has 2x 2GB sticks of RAM. It has 2 slots.
I put 1 stick in at a time in to each slot, so trying each stick of RAM on it's own in each of the 2 slots.
It crashed which ever stick was in which ever slot!
A mixture of the following 2 error variants appeared (both errors had with both sticks on their own):
