Photoshop Elements install- forgot user name

I had to reinstall my syatem on my IMAC and Photoshop Elements would not work correctly after reinstalling the system. I deleted it and tried reinstalling it from my disk. I dod not remember the User name I used but I did put in the correct serial # as I had written it on my disk. How do I get it to install without the correct username?

PSE doesn't require your adobe ID. If you're having problems with the welcome screen nagging you, just go into the applications folder and launch the editor and/or organizer and then click the dock icon and choose Keep in Dock. Then launch it from there in the future. You don't say which version of PSE, but the editor is in Applications>Adobe Photoshop Elements>Support Files for the past couple of versions.
If you mean your photoshop.com account, that would be migrated to adobe revel, so there's no direct connection to photoshop.com anymore from within PSE.
Or are you having a problem with your serial number being rejected? If so, what is the error message?

Unfortunately, adobe doesn't have photoshop elements 6 available for download, as far as i know, so your best bet is to either get an usb dvd drive or use an computer with a dvd drive and copy the contents of the pse 6 dvd to somethiing like
a flash drive and then copy the contents from that drive to your new computer.
Do you still have your older mac and it has a dvd drive?
You can share files between the two using airdrop or an ethernet cable.

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements installed on another volume

I am using Photoshop Elements 6 on a Mac computer running OS 10.9.
I am working on a video project that will not open in OS 10.9. My hard drive is partitioned to include an older Mac OS (OS 10.6) which I boot into when working on the project. This procedure works fine until I need to use Adobe Photoshop Elements to make changes to still photos within the project. The problem is that the Photoshop Elements application that exists within my main hard drive boot volume will not run within the OS 10.6 volume, even though it previously did when OS 10.6 was the current OS.
I get an error message that states that “Licensing for this product has stopped working.” and it says that I need to reinstall the product. For various reasons, I don’t wish to install Photoshop on two separate volumes of the same physical hard drive. There must be a way to make the same application work with both volumes, just as most other applications do. Is there a way to do this?

Photoshop Elements installed- but i can not start it. Why?

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 3 days ago and inserted my serialnumber. Everything seemed to work but i can not open the program. Since i have two licences i installed it at another computer, too- there it workes. But what can i do to have it on the first computer, too? Simply deinstall and install again should not work because i already tipped in the serial number and as far as i know you can only youse the serial numnber 2 times. Can you help me? Thank you

I have photoshop elements installed on 3 devices, one i no longer have

a few years ago i got photoshop elements 8 for christmas and i had installed it on my computer at the time, after a while that computer crashed and is no longer working at all, plus i no longer have that computer. we bought a new computer and installed this program on it then on my laptop as well. i am now getting a notification saying that i only have 30 days to uninstall the program from one of the devices before i am unable to use it on my main computer any longer. what do i do?

Photoshop Elements Installed Fonts List?

After installing both Photoshop Elements 10 and Photoshop Premier Elements 10 on my MacBook, there are now a lot of new fonts in the /Library/Fonts folder. There doesn't seem to be any documentation online regarding which fonts are installed by these programs for sorting out the mess. Is there a list somewhere?

Forgot user name on mac air 2010, can you help.

Hi everyone,
I recently changed my account settings but when i restarted the macbook air 2010 i forgot the user name, i left password blank but the yin & yang symbol must have been a default, because as the mac shut down the user name came up as whatever name goes with the symbol for yin & yang allocated by the macbook in system preferences users & groups. I cannot open my mac until i know the name of the symbol so i am desperate for help, please will someone look on there 2010 macbook air for this symbol & tell me what name comes up in the user name bar.

in te application and saved in a text field). On PC, I use

Forgot User Name and Password for Parental Controls

I apparently have forgotten the user name and password for the parental control feature in itunes. How do I recover the information or unlock the controls?

I tried entering the same information as my computer user name and password and it does not work for locking Parental controls. What is weird is I can Log on to Itunes and my computer but it will not lock parental controls. What I am trying to do is keep anyone from changing the settings. Again I enter the same information as my computer but it DOES NOT WORK!!!!

Photoshop Elements 4 Network Users - quits unexpectedly when launching

Hi there,
I have students that cannot open Photoshop as it quits when it is loading the application. Some users are able to use it on all machines, others cannot use it on any machine, therefore I would be thinking it is a profile issue.
Students log into managed accounts, so none of their work is on the local machine. all stored and managed on the server.
Local Admin has no problems with opening the App on any machine.
Some other Apps won't open for the affected users also, such as firefox.
I have tried deleting Pref files, to the point i removed ALL pref files from users Library - still no luck.
Also tried replacing pref files from known good user, still no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions? I cannot have the users log on locally, it is not an option.
Clients are Macbooks 10.5.8 wireless
Server is G5 xServe 10.4.11.
Before anyone mentions that it is the difference in OS's causing the problem, please note that lots of students HAVE been able to use photoshop successfully with this setup. the ones that can't use it now, used to be able with same setup.

Yes upgraded to Mavericks, didn't realise that was a requirement at time of purchase as we were still on 10.6?
Previously running Elements 9 but with a new Nikon V1 camera Elements 9 didn't support the V1's Raw files hence the reason for upgrading.
The Catalogue updated during install and was ok for a few days but we then had issues with it when editing so I created a new catalogue from scratch using
Get photo's from files/folders.
and that's where we are now, it works for the most part but the constant crashes make it almost unusable.

And what exactly? If the disk doesn't auto-start, open the DVD volume/ drive and run the install app manually.
