Photoshop Elements, not Photoshop CC

How do I exchange Photoshop CC for Photoshop Elements in my Creative Cloud membership? I just downloaded Photoshop CC and realized when I fired it up that it's way more than I need.
Thanks,

That is an Adobe matter. This is the Premiere Elements (video editing) Forum.
I suggest that you contact Adobe Chat immediately via the following link.
http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?product=photoshop-elements&topic=orders-refunds-and-ex changes
I have preset it for Photoshop Elements - Orders, Refunds, and Exchanges. Alternatively, you could explore Photoshop CC at this link.
When the link opens, click on "I still need help" to bring up the Adobe Chat.
Further questions about Photoshop Elements, best post in the Photoshop Elements Forum here.
Best wishes.

By the way, there is no mystery in that technology : for serious photography work (on calibrated and commonly large displays like 1920 * 1200) the best it will be able to do is to be on par with semi-pro displays currently used for retouching. On the contrary, for displaying on smartphones or tablets, the resolution factor is important.

I own both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop (the original editor).  I find the elements editor to be too cumbersome to use and would just like to edit using Photoshop.  When I try to install Photoshop as a secondary editor in elements I get an error message that I don't need to this because it is already supported on the edit menu and task bar.  I can not find any way to send images to Photoshop for editing - all I can do is send them to elements editor or the premier editor.  Can someone tell me how to send them to Photoshop?  Thanks!

    Hi,
The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.

  • What is the different between Photoshop element and Photoshop CS 6?

What is the different between Photoshop element and Photoshop CS 6?
Which version is latest Photoshop CS 6 or Photoshop CS 8?
Can Photoshop CS 6 & 8 compatible with Window 7 or Window 8.1?
What is the different between Photoshop Element and CS 6 ?

They are two entirely different and separate applications, each one with its own separate and independent development and engineering teams.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve. It has a bunch of features that are absent in Elements.
Elements, on the other hand, is a simplified application lacking much of the power and refinements of Photoshop proper, but it has hand-holding features designed to appeal to amateurs and beginners.
If your needs are not complicated, Elements may just be the ticket for you.
Please realize that you are not addressing Adobe here in these user forums.  We are users just like you.  Personally, I have no connection to Adobe.

  • Photoshop Elements or Photoshop Premiere - 9

Which one would be better to create slideshows with?
I've been told either one will do, even getting both would be better.
What I'm really looking for is the ability to select "Random Transitions".
Something similar to PowerPoint. I've tried the trial version of Microsoft Office & PowerPoint has a plethora of transitions to choose from.
I would like to have that option of choosing from many different transitions.
I would just like to get some feedback about Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Premiere.
    Anything would be helpful.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

    For pan and zoom,
the Elements Organizer Slide Show Editor (avaiable when using only Photoshop Elements) is simpler for specifying pan and zoom: you can draw a box for the startng point and a second box for the ending point of the pan or the zoom.
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-9/what-is-adobe-photoshop-elements/
has a list of multiple video tutorials about PSE 9 and
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-9/creating-a-slide-show-windows/
is specifically about making a slideshow
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-elements-8/getting-started-22-creating-a-slide-s how/
was writen for verison 8 but it seems to also be relevant for version 9: because it is presented by a different person I think it is worthwhile watching in addition to the version 9 tutorial.
Do you know what video formats are acceptable for posting a slide show video to Facebook ?
You can write a WMV video file output of your slide show from the Elements Organizer Slide Show Editor, but I don't know if that will work for Facebook.

  • Upgrade Pricing for Photoshop Elements to Photoshop CC

It would be great if Adobe offered upgrade pricing from Photoshop Elements to Photoshop CC at $9.99/month, just like the offer to those using CS3 or higher.  I would like to have the ability to be able to really put Photoshop CC though its paces to make sure that at $19.99/month in the future is worth the investment.

Does anyone from Adobe care to respond?

  • New Mac: Why are CC and Photoshop Elements not working when Lightroom and Reader are fine

Last week I changed computers (swapping an old Mac for a 13-in MacBook Pro Retina running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. I copied all my data over to the new machine using Migration Assistant.
All programs work fine (including my copy of Lightroom 3 and Reader XI). But my CC and Photoshop Elements 10 do not. I have tried uninstalling both, but whenever I try to reinstall PE10 from its disk or download it just stops almost at the end. I then I get an "initiation failed" message, along with a request to download the now defunct "Support Advisor" app!
I cannot download Adobe Application Manager, or the CC desktop app either - for the former I get an "initiation failed" message, along with the "download Support Advisor" app" message again! For the latter I get a message saying "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." Then I get a message and a link to download Creative Cloud. Then when I've downloaded it and I click on the installer... it runs for a bit and then I get the message again: "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." And I get a prompt and link to download the CC app. Guess what happens next? And so it goes on. And on and on, in a tedious circle.
This is incredibly annoying and frustrating as I have work to do! Anyone have any ideas what's happening?
    Cheers
    K

do not use migration to install adobe programs.
you should uninstall and clean whatever you've done, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
then dl the cc desktop app to your new computer and use it to install your adobe cc programs, Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial
if you have non-subscription adobe programs, use the installation files for them:
    Downloadable installation files available:
    Suites and Programs:  CC 2014 | CC | CS6 | CS5.5 | CS5 | CS4, CS4 Web Standard | CS3
    Acrobat:  XI, X | 9,8 | 9 standard
    Premiere Elements:  13 | 12 | 11, 10 | 9, 8, 7 win | 8 mac | 7 mac
    Photoshop Elements:  13 |12 | 11, 10 | 9,8,7 win | 8 mac | 7 mac
    Lightroom:  5.7.1| 5 | 4 | 3

Download and installation help for Adobe links
Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

  • Photoshop Elements not working with Yosemite

After upgrading OS to Yosemite I could not get Photoshop Elements 11 to work properly - sluggish operation and brushes not working.  I upgraded to Elements 13 but it gets sluggish as time passes and some of the filters don't work.  It is frustrating to say the least as I do lots of photo processing and it just takes too long now.  Can anybody help?

    Hi,
We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
    1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
    2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
    Plug-in installation instructions:
    1. Close Photoshop Elements
    2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
    3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
    • For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
    • For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.
    Hope this helps!

  • Photoshop Elements not responding

I just purchased Photoshop Elements and have registered and loaded all my pictures but now everytime I open the program another screen appears on top of the welcome screen about taking a tour, I have taken the tour several times now because the only way to get out of that screen is to take the tour and then it will open up to the home screen, then the program will not respond and that is as far as I can get.  My computer meets all the requirements for this program, can anyone tell me what might be the problem, is there a number to call to talk to someone from Adobe?

A number of people have reported here problems with a tour that just won't go away.  Some Adobe employees were participating in the threads, but I don't recall seeing a solution (there might be).
Meanwhile, you can work around the annoying Welcome Screen by avoiding it, starting the Editor and Organizer directly.  See this FAQ:

  • Photoshop elements not working

when i open photoshop elements, i have the option of new project open project or organize it doesnt matter what i choose when i click on any of them the program closes and does not open the desired action. i just installed this program in december and havent used it but twice.

    Hi Adam014,
Which version of PSE you have on your system? Also your OS?
Are you sure that PSE is correctly installed on your system. Please check C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\ for the corresponding folders for Organizer and Editor.
Can you try running of these programs directly from inside?
If you have Win, please try running Organizer by double clicking this exe. -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe (On a 32-bit machine, it would be Program Files). On MAC, try running Adobe Elements Organizer 10 from Applications directly.
Please let me know the result.
    Thanks

  • Photoshop Elements not loading and shows error

I have a sony vaio lap with win-8 OS and the PS Elements licensed version came built in and now the thing is my friend has unknowingly uninstalled PS and now i have restored it by running the system restore. But the problem is now it is restored but when i try to start it is not starting and shows an error "PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS CANNOT START OR CONTINUE BECAUSE OF MISSING FILE(S). PLEASE REISTALL "
can anyone help me to fix this thing out...........!

You may need to install the licensing update:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#_Install_the_licensing-s ervice
If that doesn’t work, try Adobe’s troubleshooting steps, which include reinstalling with all background services including anti-virus disabled (what Adobe calls “simplified mode”) and running as administrator:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#_Try_Adobe’s_generic
The Adobe tech note explains how to run in simplified mode.  Note that on Vista, running a program as administrator is different than running it from an administrator account – the tech note explains how to do that.

  • Photoshop Elements not working right after not using for several months?

Have Photoelements #10 on this computer. Have been away, using #10 on another computer, now back and PhotoElements #10 is NOT working properly?

    Hi,
Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
    Solution 1:
    1. Close Elements.
    2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
    3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
    Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go  to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements  10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain  plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere  else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

  • Why does Photoshop Elements not remove the old version after installing an upgrade?

When I install a new version of Photoshop Elements, it converts the old catalog but does not remove the old programs.  I just installed PS 11 over PS 10 and it did not remove it.  I have had the same problem with each upgrade.  I have to manually uninstall the old version.
    Thanks.

It's good to have the software you paid for
Uninstalling the older version post an upgrade might be discomforting to many users, so...
Catalog conversion works fine irrespective of whether you uninstall or do not uninstall the older version since the catalog folders are not touched during uninstall.
    Thanks

  • Photoshop elements not saving edits/captions

I am perplexed how to get my photoshop elements 4 to save my photo edits and captions. It has worked well for many years but something happened a couple of months ago and now it is not saving either my photo editing or captions in organizer...HELP!

DJ, My computer is windows 8, below are the system requirements for PSE12 - looks like it will run in 64-bit. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
No, you have seriously misunderstood what I said. PSE will not run as a 64 bit application under Windows. Even though you have a 64 bit version of Windows, PSE will NOT run as a 64 bit application under Windows. It will run as a 32 bit application under Windows 64bit, giving it a maximum of approx 3 GB of memory to work with. I don't know if that will make your problems go away or not. Please download the 30-day free trial of PSE 12 and see if your problems go away or not before you make a purchase.
    From the system requirements
all other applications run native on 32-bit operating systems and in 32-bit compatibility mode on 64-bit operating systems
