Photoshop Elements 'Photo Mail' feature

I recently received an email created with Photoshop Elements 'Photo Mail' feature
The presentation of the photos was very attractive.
I have CS4 which does not include Photo Mail.
Anyone have a suggestion as to how Photo Mail can be duplicated in CS4?

That feature is for people who don't understand images or email or both.
Why would a professional program like Photoshop include it?

    Hi,
    I recently bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 for Mac. Safari is my default browser. I wonder, has anyone seen an extension or add-on to Apple Safari 5.0 that creates a context dialog that would allow one to import an image from a web page into the Adobe Elements 9 Photo Organizer. Currently, the process of importing into Adobe Photoshop Elements Photo Organizer is both elaborate and tedious. Alternatively, am I simply unaware of some simple drag and drop method to import an image from the web into Photoshop Elements 9 Photo Organizer?

  • Photoshop Elements 7 Edit feature

    A friend of mine has purchased Photoshop Elements 7 and is having trouble with it. The first menu opens and gives you the option to organize, edit, create, or share. Everything works except the Edit feature. When I click on the button it starts to load and then crashes. It doesn't provide me with any identifying error message so it's been difficult for me to search for solutions.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    When you try to start the Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 Editor on Windows, the application closes when the splash screen displays "Building TWAIN menu items" and Windows may return one of these error messages:
    "Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (Editor) has stopped working."
    "Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 (Editor) has encountered a problem and needs to close."
    Reason
    Photoshop Elements 7 includes support for a technology called TWAIN, which lets you control certain image-acquisition devices--including many scanners, the scanner portion of many all-in-one printers, and some webcams--directly from within Photoshop Elements.
    During its startup process, the Photoshop Elements 7 Editor loads its TWAIN plug-in. This plug-in immediately begins communicating with the driver for each scanner or other TWAIN-compatible device that you have installed on your computer.
    If the TWAIN plug-in cannot communicate with a device driver, then the Editor crashes.
    Solution
    Do Solution 1 first. Proceed to Solution 2 only if you wish to operate your device directly from within the Photoshop Elements Editor.
    Solution 1: Disable the TWAIN plug-in.
    The Photoshop Elements Editor does not load plug-ins whose file name begins with a tilde (~). Rename the TWAIN plug-in to prevent the Editor from loading it.
    To disable the TWAIN plug-in:
    Do one of the following:
    If you are using a 32-bit edition of Windows, then navigate in Windows Explorer to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\.
    If you are using a 64-bit edition of Windows, then navigate in Windows Explorer to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\.
    Note: If you do not know which edition of Windows you are using, see "Determine whether your computer is running a 32-bit or a 64-bit edition of Windows" (TechNote kb407673).
    Rename Twain_32.8BA to ~Twain_32.8BA. (You may not see the file name extension .8BA.)
    When the TWAIN plug-in is disabled, you cannot operate your device by choosing File > Import > [Device name] in the Photoshop Elements Editor.
    If you do not wish to operate your device directly from within the Editor, then you can use other software -- such as the software that came with the device, the Windows Scanner And Camera Wizard, or Windows Photo Gallery -- to operate the device and save image files from the device. (For instructions, see the documentation for the other software.) Then you can open those files in Photoshop Elements.
    If you would like to operate your device directly from within the Editor, then proceed to Solution 2.
    Solution 2: Troubleshoot installed drivers and re-enable the TWAIN plug-in.
    If you use a scanner, all-in-one printer, or another TWAIN-compatible device on your system, then the device's driver may be out-of-date. Download the latest version of the driver for your device from the manufacturer's website. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to install the driver. (If you have more than one TWAIN-compatible device, then download and install the latest driver for each device.)
    After you have installed the latest driver for each device, re-enable the TWAIN plug-in and restart the Photoshop Elements Editor.
    To re-enable the TWAIN plug-in:
    Do one of the following:
    If you are using a 32-bit edition of Windows, then navigate in Windows Explorer to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\.
    If you are using a 64-bit edition of Windows, then navigate in Windows Explorer to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins\Import-Export\.

    After you remove the driver for each device that you do not use, restart the Photoshop Elements Editor.
    If the Editor still fails to start, then the driver for one or more of the devices that you currently use is incompatible with the Photoshop Elements TWAIN plug-in. In that case, disable the TWAIN plug-in (see Solution 1) and leave it disabled. (You may also wish to periodically check the device manufacturer's website for driver updates. If an updated driver becomes available, then repeat this solution.)

  • ITunes/Photoshop Elements Photo Sync Fails After PSE Upgrade

    After upgrading from Photoshop Elements version 9 to version 13, the iTunes "Sync Photos from Photoshop Elements" feature no longer works.
    iTunes continues to show the albums from version 9, and photo syncing any of the albums causes iTunes to fail into an un-ending loop without an error message. Photo syncing from other folders works fine.  I temporarily re-installed Elements 9 and iTunes photo sync began to work, but using the old version 9 photo catalog.
    Is there a fix that will get iTunes to sync with Elements 13 photo albums? Are there files or registry entries that need to be re-pointed to the Elements 13 photo catalog?
    I'm running Windows 7 with SP1 and iTunes 12.0.1.26 on a very capable HP PC.

    While I haven't heard a solution to posts I've made to both Adobe and iTunes sites, I have found a manual workaround.
    The catalog files that iTunes uses are of the format "catalog.pseXdb". 
    In my case, the new catalog is "catalog.pse13db" and the old is "catalog.pse9db". These files are found in catalog folders like: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Elements 9 Catalog
    With iTunes and PSE closed,
    1) copy the catalog.pse13db file to the "Elements 9 Catalog folder. 
    2) rename the old catalog.pse9db file to keep it and deactivate it
    3) rename catalog.pse13db to catalog.pse9db
    iTunes will continue to use the older catalog file, but it now has new catalog contents.  The manual part is that this will need to be done prior to each time you want to sync new catalog content to your devices.
    Somewhere around PSE version 7, the catalog file format changed, so this technique may not work for upgrades from about v7 upward.

  • Using Photoshop elements 13 and windows 8.1. After one week, Photoshop elements photo editor will nit load. This occurred after I scanned in some large files. Is there a connection?

    Not only will photo editor not load from organizer@@@@, it wont load at all on my computer. What happened? more importantly how do I fix it?

    I've got things working now.  The process I followed was:
    1. Reboot in safe mode
    2. Run Photoshop elements.  It worked in safe mode.
    3. Unplug the network cable
    4. Restart in normal mode
    5. Run Photoshop elements.  It worked with the cable unplugged.
    6. Exit out of Photoshop
    7. Plug in the network cable
    8. Now Photoshop seems to start up normally.
    It seemed to me that the problem had something to do with license validation.  In safe mode there's no network connection, which might disrupt validation.  When I left out steps 3, 4 and 5, it still didn't work.  After doing that once, it seems to work.  If it stops working, I'll post another reply here.

  • Issues signing in at Photoshop Elements Photo Editor

    I have installed a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements on my laptop (windows). After downloading it in Adobe Download Assistant I have to sign in to use the Photo Editor. When I try to do this, the message is shown that I'm offline, so it can't connect to the internet. I am in the internet though. I've tried to re-install te programme, but I still get the same message. I can sign in at the internet, the Download Assistant and at the Elements Organiser, so my account shloud be activated yet.

    how do you save? Photoshop Elements can save either versions or overwrite the original file, afaik.
    You need to set the save preferences, so that it will write to the original file and not write a version. Also the filename extension should be "tiff" and not the default "tif" (I think you did that already).

  • Trial version of Photoshop Elements has many features greyed out?

    Should many of the features of Photoshop Elements be greyed out and so unusable in the trial version? 
    I was expecting it to be fully functional - have I done something wrong?  I am using a pc.
    Please help!

    If features are not avialable, eitehr the install went wrong or your system does not support them, in particular certain graphics hardware acceleration stuff. Impossible to know, since you didn't provide any detailed info.

  • PhotoShop Elements photo share

    Hi there - hope anybody can help me - I have been using PSE for several years and love it - I often use the "photo share" to send my friends photos by email - for the last few days my friends have not received them - even though everything looks normal at my end - is there a problem with PSE??????   (I also recently changed my Internet Service Provider - but kept the same email address - would this have had any impact???)  Any help will be most welcome....

    My problems are as close to identical to yours as can be. I had used Elements 6 for a while with photomail working flawlessly. The upgrade to elements 9 was to take advantage of numerous editing and organizational improvements (befitting a new camera purchase). I have tried uninstalls/reinstalls and updates to no avail, and several of the suggestions posted in the forum. If a service pack fails to address this issue I will have to explain to my retailer that this s an unacceptable piece of software.

  • Photoshop Elements Photo Bin No longer stays open while working on photos but closes after each tool selection.

    In Elements 13.1 on a Mac running Yosemite 10.10.2, the "Photo Bin" no longer stays active below the photo work area but closes after each tool action.  The Bin used to stay open with all photos visible throughout, which was very helpful.  Couldn't find a preferences option for this.  Any help?

    It is possible to stop the Tools options automatically opening if that is what you want. You can not have the tools options and the photo bin both open at the same time.
    To stop the tools options always opening, go to the options menu and uncheck the auto show tools options.

    I had element 6 and upgraded with 8 with windows XP
    now I got a new computer with windows 7
    and tried to install the 8 to my new computer
    everything went ok till I found out I could not use the Adobe e-mail to send the confirmation code to my Gmail address (still works fine with Outlook)
    I worked with the Adobe tech support for 3 days
    with many case numbers and transferring from tech support to "installation specialist" to "imaging Department specialists"
    including holding on a speaker phone for 90 minutes (enough to finish my dinner)
    the " imaging specialist" refused to connect to my screen to install
    and told me he can fix my "common problem" that will cost me $39
    after some more waiting, his supervisor told me it is not an installation problem, and therefore not covered for an old issue of 8
    would been covered if it was 9
    I contested it is an installation issue
    he said it is an "after installation" issue
    so, what is your experience with Elements tech support staff?
    My niece is an Apple fanatic who recommended the element
    Should I stay or not with elements?
    i am just an average "photo guy" for my grandchildren and make 13x19 Grand's calendars and photo prints where I use the Element 8 to edit

    All 14 attempts I made for the previous 4 days been answered today between 7:14 to 7:42 am

    So, I changed Express back to Adobe e-mail, and got a new verification number. And got verified and mailed a picture.
    So far so good
    but half an hour went by, still waiting for my picture to arrive

  • Photoshop/Elements to Revel Photo Migration Problem!

    What happened to my Photoshop/element photos? They were supposedly migrated, but I don't see them! I have no albums in my Revel account.I had a paid subscriiption and it was cancelled back in or around February, and told that the photos would be moved over to REVEL...Can anyone help me to get them back?

    First, thanks Pattie for following up with me. I am going to check my backed up hard drives to see if my photoshop materials are on them. It will take me a few days, as I have only small amounts of time to research it at this time. maybe a break will come in a day or two for a determination.

    Is it possible you logged into Photoshop.com with a different email, or is it possible that you did not set up your Elements to sync with Photosho.com? These are the two main reasons users can not find their files.
    The Photoshop.com account created in 2009 with the email you use to log in to this forum has no files in it, and therefore, nothing migrated to the Revel account with the same login. You do have a Revel account with the same login, but it is also empty since nothing migrated.

  • Sending photo mail

    I keep getting I need sender verifcation when sending photo mail. Can anyone help?

    What program do you have...Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements and what version and on what computer operating system is it running.
    Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements each come with an Elements Organizer which has the Photo Mail feature. But questions about Photo Mail are best posted in the Photoshop Elements (photo editing) Forum rather than the Premiere Elements (video editing) Forum where your thread has been posted.
    You can repost your question or wait for a moderator to see your thread and move it from here to there.

    a. How have you set up the Elements Organizer Edit Menu/Preferences/Sharing for E-Mail Client? Did you select Adobe E-Mail Service?
    If so, have you gone through the process which results in Adobe sending you a verification code?
    b. Does not the verification code requested ever show up in your email program? Have you checked the Junk Mail? The verification code
    email from Adobe often gets detoured to there.

  • Adobe Actions in Photoshop elements

    I have recently acquired a program that was originally designed on Adobe Photoshop.
    I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements, bot most features are included
    One difference is that Photosop Element does not have an 'action button' to load the action script.
    However, I have copied these in manually
    Action Taken
    a) Installed graphic program into c:\Program Files\graphic program
    b) Opened the Action Script Folder and copied all the Action Scripts files
    c) c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\presets\Photoshop Actions\
    d) Pasted all the action scripts that I copied from the Action Script Folder
    So Far So Good
    Opened Photoshop Elements : They have a file browser button. From here I can browse to :-
    c:\program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\presets\Photoshop Actions\
    But I cannot load any templates or activate the program
    Can anyone advise on this please

    As mentioned it was designed for Adobe Photoshop and required all the files to be placed in the photoshop action folder.
    Photoshop Elements does not have an action feature, but I followed their procedure and copied all the files into the Elements/photoshop actions folder OK. But there is no way to load these files into Photoshop Elements.
    I have asked how they activate these files in photoshop, and received the following
    "copy the shortcut into the relevant directory (depending on which version of Photoshop), then I go to the actions window and select the action.
    Select the first step and press the play button, modify the image created, and then run step 2 and step 3.
    I can also double click an action in its folder and it will open in Photoshop."
    The problem is' Photoshop Elements does not have an 'Actions Window' and the second is, after double clicking on an action in it's folder, Photoshop opens and I'm back to square one!!"
    I realise that I may be whistling in the Wind, and no way take the program developer to task, because it has been designed for Adobe Photoshop and not Photshop Elements.
    And it defeats the whole exercise by purchasing Adobe Photoshop for the sake of getting a low budget program to work, when Photoshop Elements suit my requirements at the moment
