Photoshop elements setup

on a mac mini that starts from a 128 ssd with photoshop elements installed, i want to use a second 500 gb hdd
for the photo library. i have it set this way but imports want to go to the ssd drive?
any good way to work this setup?

i'm using import from the file menu and steering to a sd card with new photos.
i'm assuming that the application wants the photo library on the same drive?

An .exe file means you have the windows version. Go get the mac version:

Two command are in different places in photoshop elements
Image>Resize>Canvas Size
and
Image>Transform>Free Transform

Photoshop Elements 11 - I was given this as a gift. I cannot get it to install. Nothing comes up to run and when clicking on the file there is no setup

There is a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1. To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

Cannot not SETUP my Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac

When I try to setup my Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac the following popup appears: "Java script alert, Critical errors were found in setup/incompatible payloads already installed/please see the setup log file for details." What am I suppose to do?

Manually remove any existing bits of adobe programs that you can find (don't forget to check places like library>application support), then run this:

First are you going to use the same keyword/categories hierarchy in the same Elements version (or newer)? If so, using the backup/restore process will also restore your hierarchy.
If you want to create the same hierarchy in an older Elements version, it's possible to save that hierarchy in a special text file and to restore it in the new catalog in the destination computer. It's also possible to restore it in another catalog in the same computer.
Look at the title bar of the keywords panel. Next to the '+' sign on the right, you see a small icon which opens a menu offering the option to save or to restore the text file.

Photoshop Elements 9 - Setup Error

If anyone could assist me, it would be greatly appreciated. I am attempting to reinstall my Photoshop Elements 9 software that came with my Bamboo Create Pen and Touch drawing tablet. I have already contacted customer support in a chat session and they recommended I post my problem here instead since it is an older software and their support is apparently only for newer versions.
Around the end of the setup installation process, I receive an error message. Under "Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 - Setup" it says, "Error 1406. Could not write value to key \SOFTWARE. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
This is not an illegal copy of the program. It was purchased legally and I have the sleeve that the disk comes in with the serial number on it. When the message appeared, there were 3 options for me to choose: "Abort", "Retry", and "Ignore". I chose the "Ignore" button, but I don't know if that was the correct choice or not. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

Insane Photoshop Elements 12 installation setup

I'm told in troubleshoot error # 1311 to copy the installation files to a different than the default installation path. Which I may be able to do IF i knew which were the goddamned installation files!!!
If installing Japanese, Chinese and/or Greek characters to my path is the problem, why isn't that problem better addressed by a change in the default installation setup script. I am in Canada and speak ENGLISH and certainly don't care about those 3 languages.
This is really amateur hour programming.
Wake up Adobe. You've been around a long time and certainly can afford to hire either better programmers OR have a software quality control officer capable of figuring out that this is a REALLY, REALLY stupid way to do things.

ReallyPissedOFF I am sorry that you have been facing a 1311 error when attempting to install Photoshop Elements 12. I believe you have already identified the correct steps to perform but for your reference please see Error 1311, 1335, or 2350 "Source file not found...data1.cab" |Install Adobe products | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-error-1311-1335-or.html.
Regarding the installation files did you receive the software on DVD? If so then you will want to copy the installation files. If you downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 then by default the installation files will be saved to your User folder.
Finally if you need to download a fresh copy of the installation files you download the trial at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=en.

Newly opened boxed copy of Photoshop Elements 12 won't install on new installation of Win 8.1. Turned off virus checking (which shouldn't be necessary), Searched files on DVD, unzipping payload files, including the temporary Premier software, and there are on setup.exe files anywhere. Tried viewing XML files with browser, which readers xml. Don't have time to investigate Adobe install procedure, which appears pretty sophisticated (I've written a few years ago). Any clues?

Thanks mytaxsite. Yes, I bought it at Costco, and of course have the serial number on the box. I'm a Microsoft developer, and searched the DVD, copying the contents to a hard drive and unzipping the "payload" files. I understand folder viewing filters and found lots of setup.xml files, which I could have used, with some difficulty, to see where Adobe wanted to put things. But Adobe knows its installation procedure better than I ever will, and so tried to get tech support. I even have full Photoshop CS5 on an adjacent machine, used by my daughter, but wanted to have basic editing functionality on a machine I use for film scanning.
I never allow anything to be installed without a dialog, whether from my own or a removable storage device. The Windows loader apparently didn't detect autoloading functionality and only offered me the options of viewing files and trying to find multimedia, if I recall (which, since it was irrelevant, I didn't note precisely). I just wanted to see the files anyway, at which point I was puzzled by the lack of setup.exe. I did, as Adobe suggested, disable my virus scanning software, but not my firewall. It made no difference, and I expected none. Though I've found no legitimate software that couldn't be loaded with virus scanning enabled.
I suspect your suggestion that I download fresh software from Adobe is the correct one. It is what I expected Adobe Technical support to suggest. Having some confidence in this newish machine, with its newish, and almost unused, BluRay/DVD burner, and my care handling DVDs, I was guessing at some xml-based installation procedure that I might need to install. Few Costco customers, not in the software business would know where to look, so I'm curious about how Adobe could ship something lacking the old-fashioned setup.exe, twenty+ year old technology based on the DOS shell? On the other hand, if there are new standards for installation scripts, I would like to know what they are using.

No setup on Photoshop elements dvd??

I purchased Photoshop Elements 12 at Best Buy. I installed the DVD that came in the box. According to the booklet and online instructions, I need to click "setup." However, there is NO "setup." I tried "install" and nothing happened.
What am I missing here? I have been trying for over an hour to get it installed and it seems impossible.
