Photoshop extended wont install !!!!

Hello can someone help me out. I own photoshopCS4 extended 64bit. I am running Windows 7 pro 64bit. Every time i try to install photoshop extended it always installs the standered and NOT THE EXTENDED version. I know its not the CD because i tried to install it on my second machine (win xp 32 bit) and it worked!! Does anyone have any suggestions!!

The serial number is what determines the version of PS CS4 that is installed on your machine.
It is impossible for PS CS4 to install the 64 bit version on Windows XP 32 bit machine.
If you have a 32 bit OS machine PS CS4 will only install the 32 bit software.
If you have a 64 bit OS machine PS CS4 will install both 32 bit and 64 bit software.
Don't forget to install the .exe file installer file as Admin. Run the Disk but choose to explore the Disk. Find the PS folder and open it and right click on the .exe file and Choose to run as Admin.
Turn off Windows defender prior to install. It is also better to turn off Adobe reader if it is installed (better yet, remove it) as it has caused PS CS4 install problems in the past for some unknown reason.
To avoid problems install PS CS4 on C drive.
Like I wrote above the serial number determines what is installed, not the Disk. You will know if you paid for the extended as it is almost 1 grand (the upgrade is cheaper).
If you feel that you purchased the extended version but only the standard version installs you need to contact Adobe. Tell them hey, here is my receipt for Extended but the serial number you gave me is standard. This has happened before but nobody ever posted back saying the problem was corrected.

I bought a new imac and i cant download my photoshop cs ,is there a way to install it that I dont know or did I buy it for nothing

You need to be more specific. The original CS was released in 2005 or so and we're currently at CS6. If you really mean one of the older versions, it's simply not compatible and you need to get a new one.

i keep getting an error message saying to check available space and write permissions in the destination folder. I have 306GB available. my temp file has been emptied and i have had it installed long ago. Help!

I got Photoshop Elements for Christmas last year and downloaded it on my home computer and laptop. I got my laptop cleaned out a couple months later and noticed the download was gone and I no longer had it on that computer. I didn't think it was a big deal. Fast forward a couple more months and I got a different laptop and tried to install it to edit some pictures..but it won't install. Any help would be appreciated

What happens when you try to intsall it? Do you get any notifications? Are you using a download or do you have discs? Do you have it installed on any other machines (there is a two activation limit)?

Photoshop CC wont install

I have tried this many times now. I see Creative Cloud says an update is available for Phohtoshop CC. I click to update. It seems to download & eventually shows a tick with 'Up To Date' BUT Photoshop CC is nowhere to be found on my computer.
About a month ago, I had Photoshop CC & was using it. Then I updated one day and it disappeared & this has been the same ridiculous process ever since. What is going wrong? How can I fix this?
Any help much appreciated.

How do I install my education version of cs5 photoshop extended using the CD I purchased ? I slid it into the side slot of my computer and nothing comes up on the screen. I'm not sure where to go from here.....

Like any other program - double-click the setup.exe on the DVD. You merely have disabled auto-play on your system.

Can't install Photoshop Extended on Mac 10.5.4 components failed

One of our professors has a brand new iMac running 10.5.4
The machine has 4 GB of ram and Photoshop has never been installed on this system before.
The only Adobe product on the machine is Acrobat 8. (Not the reader - the actual program.) I tried to install Photoshop Extended - not from the Creative suite DVD set, but as a stand alone product that we bought.
The problem is the software will not install. I get the error message that the components failed.
I am in the administrator account.
The installer runs very slowly and then says that of the three components (one being Photoshop) only the shared components installed. The other two failed.
Any ideas?

Routine maintenance is imperative.
I still advocate Repairing Permissions (with Apple's Disk Utility) before AND after any system update or upgrade, as well as before AND after installing any software that requires an installer that asks for your password.
I have seen software installations go sour because the installer did not find everything as and where it should be.
I have also seen software installations go bad because the installer did not clean up after itself properly and did not leave everything as and where it should be.
This is just my own personal opinion and practice based on my own observations. Others may disagree and that's OK. I can only base my routines and my advice to others on my own experience and conclusion. I don't pretend to know why others believe otherwise.
Repairing Permissions after the fact (i. e. not immediately before and after an install) seldom helps.; Try it anyway, though.

Additionally, if your machine does not run 24/7 so that it runs the daily, weekly and monthly Cron Scripts in the middle of the night as intended by Apple, run Cocktail (shareware) as well.
Cron Scripts are maintenance routines designed by Apple to run on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in the middle of the night.
If you don't run them, you WILL run into trouble, sooner rather than later.

Sometimes there are server problems, downtimes, or security changes. Most problems with email are resolved by deleting the account from the iPad and then re-adding it.
