Photoshop Failure

I am having an issue with running Photoshop on my PC. I noticed others having this issue, and was hoping someone out there had new ideas how to make it work. Here's the issue:
I have CC 2014, and a Sony Vaio PC (64bit processor). After installing Photoshop, the update to Photoshop will not download. (Error code U44M1l210). When I try to run Photoshop, the program is forced closed by Windows as a process that cannot be initialized.
I have:
1.) updated my software for Sony Vaio.
2.) updated my video drivers.
3.) uninstalled/reinstalled CC
4.) reset my computer to factory settings, updated software for everything, than reinstalled CC and Photoshop.
Nothing I do seems to work.
Any ideas?

Photoshop Failure on a Mac

The machine begged me to reload a version of PS CS6 that had all it's files. Okay. I can do that. But I think I could foul the biscuits by doing it wrong. For instance, a 'cleaning tool' exists, as well as an admonition to use it before de-installation. Is that advice Real? Does anyone happen to know the proper sequence of events for the uninstall and re-install routine?

Important Updates for Illustrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop - Failure to Install

I have been trying to update my Illsutrator, Extension Manager, and Photoshop.
I have tried about five time using different methods.
Each time I received the following error message:
AI CS6 Creative Cloud Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Extension Manager CS6
Update Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.1
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I need some giudance in order to have the updates installed.

Whilst this may prove to be the only way to install the updates, it reads as though it only takes a few minutes to complete but as others have reported it's a real pain to have to go all through a clean up and then full installation particularly if you have a number of plugins to re-install / activate! Not the best solution and I would have hoped Adobe could have come up with a better solution. As it is I will not be going through the update and will set the application manager to manual rather than have the icon constantly on displayed in the taskbar expecting to update what doesn't work.

Leopard and Adobe Photoshop CS2 problems...

I've been reading the posts about Leopard and CS2 problems and have to say that I'm confused. A great many of you have had issues from the very beginning as soon as you upgraded to Leopard. I did not. I use a VERY basic set-up without third party plugins and suspect that to be why I had no problems. At least until now... I looked back through my documents to be sure, and my Photoshop was working beautifully through the first week of January. Somewhere between then and now there had to be an update from Apple that broke Photoshop. I haven't changed any settings since it last worked, and there certainly haven't been any updates from the greedy buggers over at Adobe because they don't support CS2 anymore apparently. What could Apple have updated that might have accidently corrupted my Photoshop?? I don't really feel it could be anything else, but who knows... Does anyone have any ideas? I would hate to have to downgrade to OS 10.4 just to use my Photoshop and I certainly can't afford to shell out the extra $$ for CS3.
I appreciate any light you guys can shed on the topic...

Actually the 10.5.2 update does seem to have improved things for me with Photoshop CS1. I can now actually type entries into the little boxes for things like crop and brush sizes. The File Browser is still prone to crashing the application though, and there is still some weirdness with opening files by a drag and drop onto the app icon in the Dock. But nothing got worse, and several annoyances disappeared.
One thing to try is to create a brand new admin test user, with no additions (that includes not adding fonts), log into the new account and see if Photoshop will work there.
And speaking of fonts, do you have Linotype's Font Explorer installed? If so, did you get the new updater for it? Some people who use Font Explorer were having a lot of problems after the 10.5.2 update, including Photoshop failure to launch, that were fixed with the Font Explorer update.

Mbp Restart randomly when open Photoshop. - Help!

I hate to said this. After 4 days, i lose patience! You know time is MONEY.
2 weeks ago i upgrade new yosemite and it works great. UNTIL i can't open my Illustrator and apple want to download java updates. And i downloaded and NIGHTMARE happen. For 4 days, my mbp restart more than 10 times when i try open PS doing my client work. until i get mad from client because of photoshop failure. What happen Apple??
i read all problem and solutions here. i also try load java panel. it still happen. for 3 years I'm proud using my mbp..now i feel very frustrated.

Can't open Raw images from Nikon D3200

I can not open RAW files taken on Nikon 3200
HW & SW: Nikon 3200: Apple MacBook Pro OS v. 10.8.5, Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe DNG Converter
I had a Nikon D60 and used a removable card to store images. No problem.
One week ago, I bought a Nikon D3200 and still use the same memory cards I had used with the D60.
I have taken about 100 pictures in Aperture, Shutter and Automatic mode, all in RAW format.
Am using Nikon Transfer to import the images from the card to the MacBook.
Photoshop will open JPEG images captured from the D3200 in the JPEG format, but not those captured in RAW format.
I can preview the images on the D3200, but when I download to the Mac, the images do not open in Photoshop Elements 11, or in Adobe DNG 8.2, or in Adobe Lightroom 5.
Photoshop failure message is: “Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional information.”
DNG Converter failure message is: “The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files.”
Adobe Lightroom failure message is: “The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.”
I have downloaded most recent versions of Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe DNG. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. When I try to open or import the images, the same failure messages occur.
So far Adobe products are failing and am hoping there is a solution.

For pse 8/LR 3 you would need the 8.3 Dng Converter to convert yout Nikon D3200
files to dng copies that can be open/inported by pse 8 or LR3
Since the camera raw version required is 7.1/LR4.1 or later and pse 8 (only up to camera raw 6.2) can't use that camera raw version, the dng converter is needed.

All CC Programs have a Crash on Save Issue...

I am constantly having to go back to the 5th Version of PS, AI and ID because the CC versions are so damned unstable that they will often crash rather than save anything, no matter what I do. I'm really not getting my money out of this subscription at this point. Not even close.
I'm working on a 2012 ASUS Essentio running Win 8.1, I've checked memory and I'm not even touching a GB out of my 8GB, so that isn't it. And this problem plagued both CC and CC2014, but not 5, so this has to be a software issue.

Re Background Saves:
In Photoshop, in the File Handling section you will see settings for Save in background and Automatically Save Recovery Information. Try alternate settings for those.
Windows doesn't offer the event information I mentioned, you have to go get it:
Hit your Win key and type event viewer. Start the Event Viewer.
Expand Windows Logs and click on Application.
Scroll down until you see a red Error event corresponding in time to the Photoshop failure.
What Faulting module path does it show?
While you're there, check in you System event log as well, and see if you see any problems listed with your disk.
Based on what you've written so far I suspect you may have file system corruption or a disk failure brewing. Before stressing your disk further it might not be a bad time to back up your important files.

Hi Support, how can I install photoshop again after disk failure. Still says I have 2 copies installed, need to remove one from my old pc. Thanks for any help.

After drive failure, I decided to install photoshopcc on my home pc.
when I try to start it, I get the message "already installed on 2 devices"
I need to remove it from one of those devices.
It's not obvious how to do this.

Sometimes the Adobe servers used for the updates can get busy and it’s necessary to try a couple of times. Also make sure you don’t have a firewall which may be blocking the connection. It sometimes helps to temporarily disable internet security/anti-virus software. Because the Organizer is shared by both programs it often helps to do the PSE update first, followed by the PRE update in that order.
Select the 12.1 update for PSE from the updater dialog and ensure everything else is unchecked. Quit PSE and PRE if you have it running and then start the update.
If PSE updates properly to 12.1 repeat the process for PRE.

Photoshop CS6 Update Failures - absolutely frustrated

Once again, after completely removing the Web / Creative suite and re-installing (because we could not update when the last revision of PS came out)    we   have gotten an update failure on Photoshop CS6 Extended when the updater tried to apply the latest update - 13.0.4
We examined the log files - once again its apparently looking for PS language files that are not there ?    Seriously Adobe WTH ?
This insanity really needs to stop.    For one, if Photoshop can only be licenseed in one language (in our case, English) why does the update look for all these other languages ?
1>   We've never uninstalled any OSX language or used any utility to remove languages or fonts
2>   We installed the CS6 "fresh" - on a new machine and fresh install of OSX
3>   This happens on every machine we have, every time there is an update, it is absolutely infuriating we have to go through this every time.
4>    It ONLY effects Photoshop - all the other Adobe apps update fine.
Is there ANY fix for this besides wasting another 2 hours re-installing and re-insalling all plug-ins ?

Interesting... I rebooted the computer,   killed the installer / updater process and manually installed the update and it took.
Computer #2
I deleted the installer, and re-installed it (the installer) and it still produced the language errors but it also took, update successful.

Same as #2
Conclusion = Installer is buggy and has been for the past 3 releases of PS.    Make note to self, manual install PS update from now on and save a lot of time....

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac (not trial, with valid serial #)
Mac OSX 10.7.2, 3.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB RAM
I know the install package is valid because I installed it on my backup laptop (same Max OSX version) after I was having problems with my primary desktop and it installed fine. I have followed all the instructions on the install package including "restarting my system and installing again," and the install keeps failing with the same message:

Issue resolved with the help of Adobe Support (Mercer). My problem had been seen in another machine, there were empty folders in the Fonts Folder (Hard Drive>Library>Fonts) that the installer could not reconcile or delete, that was hanging up the Installer.
My fix was to delete the following empty folders from the Fonts Folder:
AdobeMingStd-Light.otf
BickhamScriptPro-Regular.otf
KozMinPro-Regular.otf
MyriadPro-BoldCond.otf
TektonPro-BoldCond.otf
And then re-run the installer (be sure to empty the trash).
My advice would be to first read the installer log and look for names of font folders that could not be resolved, then dump those. Another way would be to dump any empty folders in the Fonts Folder, empty the trash, then re-sun the installer.

Photoshop Elements 13 Installation Failed - Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure

I bought and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 from Amazon, which would seem to be a legitimate source. Everything runs smoothly, and seems correct up until the point of installation, when this happens after the installation process reaches 99%. The message simply reads: "The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." This doesn't seem right. What is going on? How can I successfully install Elements?

I would like to say that your customer Service is the absolute worst I have ever spoken to... I am having trouble re-installing my photoshop elements 4.0 on my computer. I just used it yesterday and went to re-install it today because my computer had to be restored to factory settings. I waited 10 min and the phone hung up on me. I called back and waited 30 min and then hung up because it was taking so long. Then called back, complained to the first rep, he transferred me to another rep who transferred me and I waited 52 min for a CSR to tell me that I need to go to forums.com. This is terrible..what is there job if they are just referring people to a forum. I would love to download 12.0 at some point but I do not have the funds at this time and the 4.0 will get the job done, but it will not let me download. I need this asap for my job. I am wasting valuable time from my job and kids w/ computer problems.

Why is using Photoshop CS6 as the touchup image editor for Acrobat still a complete failure?

Image objects in pdfs are losing their positional and other parameters when saved after editing with Photoshop CS6(ONLY). The problem was acknowledged on the Photoshop forum three months ago, but they said it was up to the Acrobat folks to fix it. When using most previous versions of Photoshop (CS2-CS5 all tested) as the touchup image editor, Acrobat was able to place the image right back into it's previous position in the pdf and it could do this without releasing whatever path was used to crop or mask the image (basically it worked great). However, using Photoshop CS6 as the touchup image editor is still a complete failure. Any idea when or if this will be fixed?
