Is there one? Because I haven't been able to find one, and if not does anyone know when they will be getting one?

That wasn't the question you asked. You wanted to know when an Intel version was coming out.
As mentioned by others, CS2 runs fine under Rosetta, but it will be slower due to the translation involved. The best thing to do is get plenty of RAM which helps a lot.
Version Que is not compatbile with Rosetta last I looked. I know it caused trouble for many users and I thought I read that Adobe wasn't going to update it until CS3 just like the rest of the suite.

That being the case if it won't run I'd do the "regular drill": Repair Permissions, download & run Onyx or Cocktail, consider booting from your install DVD and running Disk Repair. If still no joy post back.
not sure what to make of this....i might just wait for the intel version of flip4mac..because im not sure if i should do all that....i dunno im so confused...why cant it just work?....what is onyx and cocktail?.....what is Repair Permissions?....im not exactly a techy so im not to comfortable running the instal DVD..wat if i mess everything up?..isnt there and easier way to get WMP on my macbook pro?...anyone else have problems downloading and using WMP..and found a way to run it?..or am i seriously the only one that does not know what to do....im not trying to be annoying, but some please help me...

i have just done the update for intel mac- i can note that all windows have a steel grey finish now- i just wanted to check with others if they have the sasme finish or is it a problem with my mac

huh?? wad are u talking about? i don see any difference in the gui on my side. and besides all finder windows HAVE ALWAYS had the steel gray finish look, including safari..

PlainTextPaste for Intel Mac?

I frequently need to copy many file names into an email. I had been using PlainTextPaste, but that does not run on the Intel Macs. Now, when I select more than one file in the Finder, copy, and paste into an email, the actual files themselves get pasted in, and not the names. Does anyone know of another product like PlainTextPaste for Intel Macs, or is there already a way to get the result I want that I don't know about?

Create a new document in TextEdit, choose Make Plain Text from the Format menu, paste the list into it, and then copy it from there.

Best financial software for Intel Macs

I see to my disgust that Intuit just released a new version of Quicken that is not universal binary. That being the case, what is the best home financial software for Intel Macs?

Just to be sure I am understanding you - you are saying you are miffed because Quicken missed the chance to go Universal Binary. That is understandable, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that it still runs on Intel macs.
I am running the newest release on my Macbook and to be honest Quicken just isn't one of those apps that is going to benefit from more speed.
My frustration has always been that Quicken dumbs down the functionality for the Mac version. Still the case with this last release.
That said, Quicken is still the best buy for my money (sorry couldn't resist!) and runs well via on the Intel macs.
The best solution and the one I am moving toward is to load XP on Parallels and run the PC version of Quicken that way.
Best of all worlds I would say.

V10.4.7 for Intel Macs only?

Can anyone confirm for me whether or not there exists a Tiger version 10.4.7 which is only for Intel Macs?

Shutterfly Export Assistant for Intel Macs

After successfully downloading/installing Shutterfly's Export Assistant plugin for iPhoto 6.0.5 I soon realized that the "Shutterfly" tab was missing from the iPhoto File/Export menu. Searching Apple's Discussions I found posts of Jan '06 that say that Shutterfly currently does not support this plugin for Intel Macs. In fact, one of the posts gave a link to a Shutterfly page (http://www.shutterfly.com/downloads/sys_req.jsp?sw=osx) which unfortunately states, "Note: New Macintosh computers using an Intel processor are not yet supported." Bummer. I sent email to Shutterfly requesting when their plugin will work. In the meanwhile, does anyone have current informtion that can be shared on this topic? Thanks!

Here is the response from Shutterfly on how to get their Shutterfly Export Assistant for iPhoto on Intel Macs to work. I personally haven't had time to try this yet but plan to soon.

We are sorry to hear that you have been having difficulties in using your plugin.We have heard from a few Mac customers that there are problems using the iPhoto plug-in on computers set up with multiple users. You can certainly try to use the plug-in, but be aware that it may only function for the main (root) user on the Mac by default.
To fix this, you need to go to the iphoto icon in applications, apple/click get info. go to the plug-in section, select the Shutterfly plug-in, click ownership and change it to everyone as opposed to a particular user. This will solve the problem.
Also please note that, there are two versions one for Intel Macs and one for Power PC Macs uninstall the one you currently have installed then reboot your computer go back and redownload the upload assistant and make sure you have the correct version for the processor your using. If you still find you are have these issues please give us a call at (800) 986-1065 and ask to be transferred to technical escalation so we can help you further. Need an audio routing utility for intel mac

i would like to know if there is a utility for intel macs which will allow me to specify which audio output is used by specific applications. to be more specific i would like itunes, DVD player, Eye TV applications output to go via the digital output on my Mac Pro which is linked to my Hifi, and everything else (system sound effects, iChat, etc) to go via the analog output which is linked to small PC speakers.
I am aware of the 'Detour' plugin, which sadly doesn't work on intel Macs, and basically am looking for a similar application for intel Macs

I might have an answer. After trying every audio routing program I could find, I poked around in Nicecast. I found a deeply buried menu for an output choice of default or 1/2. It was on default so I chose 1 for left and 2 for right and this accomplished what I need. Until I quit the programs. Then I was back to square 1. I disabled Detour and tried a currently supported program, Jack. jack would not even load the currently running programs to be able to route them. So I went back to Detour and had to add Nicecast to it's list. All is well, I hope
In fact I tried another application at the same time and Detour did what it was supposed to, so it looks like my problem might have been with Nicecast all along, but I set the output back to default and it still worked. Maybe after some updates I just need to reset all the preferences? But Detour has not been supported since 2005 and Jack seems useless.

Shutterfly iPhoto Export Assistant - for INTEL Macs

I have twice followed the directions on the shutterfly site -

. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. It appears in my list of plugins and is checked when I go through the applications folder and get info on iPhoto. Still, when I select photos and click on export NOTHING happens - no tabs, no nothing. Suggestions?

I just got off the phone with Shutterfly tier 2 support and was told that the current Export Assistant for Intel Macs will not work with OS X version 10.4.8.
It seems to me that since 10.4.8 has been out way before the Intel compatible iPhoto Export Assistant for Shutterfly they might have tested it with the latest version of OS X. Also, there is no mention of compatability issues on the Shutterfly "Free Software" page, even though they are aware of the issue.
Additionally, the Shutterfly support pages only suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in, again with no mention of the fact that it does not work with the current version of OS X. Nice!

ReWire functionality for Intel Macs?

Has anyone heard when LE will add ReWire functionality for Intel Macs? I find it odd that Garageband's ReWire works fine, but LE Express doesn't. That feature was recently added to Logic Pro in the 7.2.1 update. Any word about when us Express users will be able to enjoy the same?

PSP Vintage Warmer released Universal Binary for Intel Macs

For those that care, PSP just released their UB version for Intel Macs. Many of us have been waiting for this and I just downloaded a demo version of this to play with. Supposed to be one of the better multiband compressor type of plug ins out there.

Just use Debowelerificator version 1.78.
It sounds much better,and has NO latency,if you use the Triturator presets.

Photoshop on Intel Mac?

Can anyone share their experiences actually using Photoshop and third party plug-ins on an Intel Mac?
I need to buy a second Mac for professional use and am torn between buying Intel vs G4/G5 which of course is being phased out. I realize that all the lab tests say Photoshop runs at half speed on Intel models, but I want to hear from someone who actually uses it routinely.
Does Photoshop work predictably and reliably on Intel Macs? Is it adequately fast for less than constant use? Do the plug ins work? How about Illustrator? Any other Intel Mac user comments?
I hate to buy a discontinued G4/G5 if I don't need to, but will do that if necessary to do my work.

Hi, this is sort of a related issue but not one re: Photoshop, I use Nikon products, Capture 4 etc. However, since I purchased my Mac with the Intel Core, I've been told that it won't run. Fair enough, but I'm now being told by Nikon that the new Capture NX isn't going to work either. Can someone tell me why a product designed to work on OSx won't work on an Itel Mac. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm new to this problem...

Photoshop for PPC Mac

I have aPPC Mac, not an Intel Mac (Imac G5, 10.5.8). I want to purchase either Photoshop (CS2?) or Photoshop Elements. All I find are versions that require an Intel Mac. How can I find and purchase versions that will work with my computer?

As a former G5 iMac owner, I can say with a good level of certainty that the days of your PPC iMac are numbered. The software issue might be moot for that reason. Since the average lifespan of a G5 iMac has manifested itself to be right around three years, anyone running a G5 PPC iMac will be finding themselves in the position of replacing their computer with an Intel based Mac in short order.
