Photoshop Freezes after opening a document

My Photoshop freezes after opening a document in it.
I tried installing the latest graphics card update (quadro k 600). and uninstalled and installed photoshop. i changed the computer. i added more RAM (24 G) without any luck.
do you have any idea why it keeps freezing every time i opened a document in after running photoshop?

Adobe Reader freezes after opening a document

It's a recurrent problem with Adobe Reader.
Shortly after opening a document, Reader freezes for several seconds. Who knows why, it probably accesses the network, or tries to do something smart, which results in the user being unable to read the document for a while.
I have tried to disable as many "smart" options as I could, but without success. Could anyone work around this endless Adobe Reader bug?
I must admit I'm tired of this monster of a program, why can't Adobe keep the Reader a light application, instead of throwing all those unnecessary functions, ads and other uglinesses ... ?

Please update your Reader to latest version, i.e.10.1.3
Also does the problem exist with a specific PDF's or with each PDF. Please try to open the following PDF:

What browser and version are you using?
If the problem still exists please uninstall Adobe Reader and install it again from:

Photoshop freezes after opening

My Photoshop CS6 was working fine up until 3 days ago. Now it appears to open but immediately drops to the bottom of the desktop screen, showing only the Photoshop toolbar. When I try to click on any of the buttons it beeps and nothing works. I then have to use the Task Manager to close the application.
I have tried re installing it but the same problem occurs.
Please advise me as I desperately need to use Photoshop to complete some assignments. Thanks

Thank you for your response. I tried what you suggested but photoshop disappeared . I went to task manager and closed the photoshop program which was running- not sure how this happened as it didn't seem to open! When I went to open PS again it worked!!! So thank you!

My copy of CS5 photoshop freezes when opening saved psds and currently I cant find my cd key for it (incase I need to reinstall) what should I do?

It was working 3 days ago fine and I have been using it since cs5 first came out. It will freeze on any psd now and Ive tried even with small psds under 20megabytes. I can create new psds but after saving them then attempting to reopen it will freeze.

Adobe 8.1.2 Hangs and freezes after opening

Every time I open a document or Adboe itself, it will freeze and hang after 30 seconds.

I am having the same issue in acrobat 9. I though it was the alst update, but no.

I have CS 5.5 I had to reinstall after a system crash. Acrobat pro opens a document and then crashes in a few seconds. It does the same thing when opening a new document. I have reinstalled acrobat pro 3 times after the initial install.

After installing Acrobat did you get a chance to accept the license agreement.
If not then it seems to me a licensing issue.
Please try the following steps:
Delete all the files from following folders:
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD
Then launch Acrobat and check.

My Acrobat 8.1.3 shuts down seconds after opening any document or other activity.

I have a Dell XPS 8100 operating Windows 7 Home Premium. I haven't used the Acrobat for a while so am not sure when the problem began. But today, when I tried opening several documents (all, or one at a time), Acrobat would shut down within seconds. The same happens when I select any tab after opening Acrobat. I went through the repair both with and without the disc, rebooting each time, but the problem is still there. Suggestions?

That is really strange and not an expected behavior. Other than the reinstall, I don't really have other suggestions (wish I did). Sometimes when this kind of thing occurs, there is another product that is causing an issue. If you are runnin your AA8 on a 64-bit machine, that may be the issue. I have only heard of success 2 times for that combination, and I am not sure I believe the report in full.
If you decide to do the Reinstall, then the process is as follows: deactivate, uninstall, remove the Acrobat folder (if any of it is left), run the cleaner http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, reboot, install, activate, update. Typically all of the updates can be done and then reboot, rather than all the extra reboots.

Photoshop freezes when opening files?

Everytime I try to open a file, Photoshop freezes. I tried updating with Adobe Cloud but that freezes too. Its really frustrating because I have a deadline for Monday and I have not been able to use Any program for a month now. I have no time to keep trying things. Ive tried everything everyone posted here and none of it works. I blocked my payment for May 1st too because im not gonna pay for something that doesnt work. Any suggestions anyone?

This is why I suggest everyone keep one of the older Photoshop also loaded on the computer.

IBooks 3.1.3 freezes after opening on ios 5.1.1(iPad 1)

I have an iPad 1(iOS 5.1.1) with iBooks 3.1.3. I mostly use the Pad for reading books and browsing.
I faced no problems whatsoever with iBooks in the past but since last night(17 Feb, 2015) iBooks freezes after a minute or two. I can open books during this timeframe but the pages freeze and I can neither flip to another page nor go back to the library.
Initially I thought it must be because of low memory but I have a 64GB iPad and there is over 25GB of available memory.
I reset the iPad several times, no luck there. I read somewhere that sometimes a specific books(or books) cause iBooks to crash but I don't think that is the issue as I haven't added any new books for over 2 weeks now.
I should also mention that I did connect the iPad to iTunes yesterday in order to sync two movies but all other syncs were turned off.
I'm really frustrated at this point and I'll be grateful for any input.

Photoshop freezes after 2-5 minutes of startup

My photoshop CS6 is freezing after 2-5 minutes of starting it up. I have recently installed this to my computer earlier this week and it has been working fine up until this afternoon. I had no problems with it this morning. I am using a PC running windows 8.1. There seems to be no link between a particular process and the freezing, it appears to be random.@

Sometimes 3rd party add-ons create the spinning wheel. Curious which version of Adobe Flash you are using? Go to your Finder: HD>Library>Internet Plug-ins. Click on Flash Player.plugin, then Command/I keys. In the info panel, which version is listed?
Also, do you have any other 3rd party items installed in Safari?

Installed AcrobatX Pro, but it crashes right after opening a document

I just installed the trial version (I think) of Acrobat X Pro. I want to try out the editing features of the Pro version before installing. I am not able to install Acrobat Pro DC because I am on an older mac operating on 10.7.5.
So I was successfully able to install Acrobat X Pro, but now every time I open a document it crashes and closes the program after a few seconds. Can you help?

I understand your frustration and really apologize for the inconvenience that has caused.
If you are running any anti-virus programs, then please try disabling them temporarily from your computer and then launch Acrobat again to check.
Let me know what version of OS are you working upon.
If you are Windows, then try running Cleaner tool to remove all traces of Acrobat and then install it again:

Dreamweaver CS6 crashes shortly after opening any document

I'm using a new install of CS 6 on OS X 10.7.4, and the program opens and closes fine unless I open a document - I've tried HTML, PHP, and CSS. Any time between immediately and about 1 minute thereafter, DW crashes. It's in either code or split view.
Steps I've already taken: disabled all extensions, completely deleted the entire ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6/en-us/Configuration/ folder. Don't know anything else to try!
Is there a crash log or anything that I can look at?

View > turn-off "Display External Files"
