PHOTOSHOP help Error message

I bought legit version of PHOTOSHOP cs2 at office depot in Texas. The reason being for this information is because of cracking versions and such which i never use. Well PHOTOSHOP CS2 was is nothing but problem for me. Mys system is clean of viruses or any malicious worms....but i have nothing but a problem...I have re-installed photoshop at least dozen of times and re-registered transfer and i still have a problem..SERIOUS PROBLEM......
One problem i have solved by downloading the file msvcrt10 that problem was solved. My next problem is more then just downloading the file...if any of u have had experienced this problem please respond to this message in this forum how to fix it...
1.I open PHOTOSHOP CS2
2.Open a file (any file)
3.Go to help
4. I get following message no matter what option i select:
THERE WAS AN ERROR BRINGING THE HELP APPLICATION FORWARD
YOU MAY NEED TO RE-INSTALL APPLICATION AND THE HELP COMPONENT
Okay now what choice do i have... I am not going to re-install anymore as i just did 5 minutes ago. I am not computer illiterate and this is driving me nutz....any help would be greatly appreciated

well damn it. . .it worked on my office computer. So I tried to do the same thing when I was at home on my laptop and now its not working :( I can open the help file directly by going to the folder but not from within Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 Error messages after update to mac os 10.4.6

After updated to mac os 10.4.6 everytime I use Photoshop CS2 I receive an error message "Could not complete your request because of a program error"
I did all the workarounds that were described in document 331627 from Adobe's website and nothing worked.
I also subscribe to maxosx.com support and someone suggested removing the legal.localized/Tien...file from the photoshop cs2/legal directory, but everytime I tried to select the directory "legal" from within the finder view, it disappeared and closed the finder window.
HELP!

Did you upgrade from a previous version of OS X like 10.3.x or 10.2.x or from a prior version of 10.4.x? If the former, there are probably some files in your previous system folder that need to be restored.
Otherwise, double click Photoshop when it's closed, and then IMMEDIATELY hold Command + Option + Shift. You'll get a box for resetting the settings. Select Yes and maybe that will help.

Cannot launch Photoshop, no error message

I have been using Photoshop Elements 7 for many years, but all of a sudden today it will no longer work. The first time it launched as normal, and I clicked the "edit" option to open the editor. But the editor never opened, and now no matter how many times I use the shortcut or even the exe itself, it will not open. I checked under "processes" on the task manager and not even the process is appearing. It's as if I'm tapping a rock. I got no error messages at all. Even trying to force it open through task manager fails.
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and I haven't done any changes to my system since last I used the program. I have tried restarting, fully shutting down and starting, and I've run my virus and malware scans with no change. I would uninstall and reinstall, but I lost the disk a long time ago and can't afford a new version.
If anyone might know anything, please help.

Find your Elements 7 serial number, looking in your Products list at Adobe.com under Manage and then install from the download on this page:

Please help--Error message in PSE 7

When I open PSE 7 I'm getting an error message that says:
Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error Program....Adobe Photoshop, etc
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for information.
and a couple times the message just says Adobe Photoshop has stopped working and must close.
When I click "okay" the entire program shuts down.
This started about 10 days ago. I uninstalled the program and re-installed and it worked okay. Now today the message is back again. I've tried unplugging everything, restarting the computer and nothing is working. I am using Windows Vista.

information that you referenced. But I was able to check my system
information and everything was okay in that area. I've been using
the PSE 7 program for almost a year with no problem until now. Is there some way that I can talk to
a "real live" person to get help. Thank you for taking time to try and help me. I'm just not computer savvy enough to follow the instructions as given.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled Photoshop and deleted the preference files to no avail. I have also used Adobe CS4 Clean Script along with Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to no avail.
I have installed Photoshop CS3 which seems to work except when I try to access the preference files when it crashes.

I have installed 11.0.1 update along with the latest ATI 4850 drivers.I can now start Photoshop and I recieve the message that Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements.I close the box and try to open a photograph when Photoshop crashes with the above error message.I have also tried PSCS4GPU_OptionalPlugins to no avail. I have also checked the ATI Radeon HD 4800 properties and in the General tab it reads This device is working properly.
Windows did not start a related device driver. To learn more, click the Driver tab and then click Driver Details.I opened the Drivers Details and found that one of the entries was not ticked. C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ATKDispLowFilter.sys.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I tried it and the message "Could not complete your request because of a program error." comes up when I open the program or try to do anything in the program. So when I went to edit preferences it pops the same message up. It won't let me do anything in photoshop. I am up to date on the operating system but that didn't fix it either. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I cant use photoshop on my main computer at all!

okay, let's try a careful standalone QT reinstall:
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)

I have been using my iPod Video for a couple of months now without any problems, until yesterday. I tried to sync it after I downloaded a couple of new songs when I got this error message: "Attempting to copy to the disk 'Jason's Ipo' failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
The 'Jason' in 'Jason's Ipo' is me.

While I was waiting for your answer I restored my iPod to its original settings. The screen is now black and white and the font changed to something smaller. Is this normal? How do I put the playlists and songs back in? Please post a link if there is a page on this subject.

PSE 10 "help" - error message re Adobe Air

I am unable to access the PSE help within PSE 10. Each time I get an error message indicating that the problem relates to Adobe Air and that I should re-install it (Adobe Air). I have tried re-installing both Adobe Air and PSE10 but the problem persists - any suggestions

A clean re-install should have solved it.
I'd do these steps:
Close PSE.
Use Task Manager's "Processes" tab to kill any running Adobe or PhotoshopElements processes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall Adobe AIR.
Reboot.
Get the latest version of AIR from here:
http://get.adobe.com/air/
Install AIR.

Two Photoshop CS4 error messages that recently appeared

I have very recently begun having troubles with Photoshop CS4 on my work computer. I have Photoshop version 11.0.2 and OS X version 10.6.3. The error messages I'm getting are...
Could not import the clipboard because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered
This happens anytime I copy image data to the clipboard from a web-browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) This used to work and now it no longer does. If I save the file in question and open it in Photoshop it works fine, but this is kind of an inconvenience.
Could not build preview because of a problem with quicktime
This error occurs everytime I try to save an image using the "Save for Web & Devices..." dialog.
To my knowledge, I haven't changed anything related to my Adobe software recently. What would make both fo these errors suddenly start happening?

Hm, it's not that old.
But you're right. 10.6.7 update seems to have fixed this issue. Not sure why it cropped up in the first place but glad its gone. Thanks!

Bad news: It sounds as if you were sold a jailbroken iPhone.
Good news: File a SNAD with eBay. Make sure all your correspondence has been through eBay Messaging. The fact that the seller has been ignoring you will not sit well with them.
You will get 100% of your money back, including shipping. Paypal will simply seize his funds and return what is yours.
Lesson: Don't buy a used iPhone.

PLEASE HELP - Error message, re "unsupported" ringtone format

Although I was able to open, download and use ringtones recently, now when I attempt to open any ringtones I receive this error message in the Media folder: "The media being played is of an unsupported format." and will not play. I haven't received any calls to test whether my phone will ring or not, but I'm assuming since it won't play back in Media, I'm unable to pull up the ringtone..period.

I honestly don't know - the problem seemed to have fixed itself when I plugged it into the Desktop Manager and I sync'd everything. Very strange, but I couldn't tell you exactly how the problem was solved.

HELP - Error message that I don't understand

When trying to burn an iMovie project to DVD through IDVD I get this error message about 5 minutes in to the process every time:
Error during rendering/encoding
There was an error during rendering/encoding of the menu/slideshows. The burning process has been cancelled.
I am a novice user & trying to make a DVD for all of my family back in the UK to send for Xmas - so URGENT now!!!
Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong?
I have checked the disk tree and there aren't any errors showing up there as red crosses or black/yellow warning tape signs.
The DVD set up is very basic - no menus or extras - just an iMovie project that I exported from iMovie OK. I have been able to do a version for iTunes so I just don't get why this won't work and the error message is super unhelpful.

Welcome to apple discussions. There's an old saying, "The faster I go, the behinder I get". This may apply here because I can tell you from experience that One Step and Magic Dvd are not any faster at capturing / encoding video to dvd-r than creating a dvd via the traditional approach. I don't recommend One step or Magic as a beginner.
Suggestion only: If you're a novice, then please create a typical iDvd project via Create an iDvd Project / apple's web site / iDvd tutorials (as opposed to a OneStep or Magic Dvd). Learn the basics first in order to make a standard dvd and then mess with the other approaches. Not the other way around.
