I have been told by Adobe that CS6 will be available for the foreseeable future, also, Adobe has committed to making CS6 compatible with the next release of both OSX and Windows, so at a minimum, I would expect CS6 to be available for at least the next year.

  • Photoshop not available in 'Tools' menu in Bridge

    Hi all,
Very strange occurance for me, in the Bridge tools menu of CS5 - photoshop showed up as an option and I used it to access image processor which in turn opened photoshop and nothing happened.
I restarted both programs and photoshop was then not available on the tools menu of bridge.
I had a problem with photoshop last night and I had to trash the preferences file, is this something I have to do with bridge also?
    Thanks!

So in Bridge's preferences, there weren't any startup scripts showing when the problem occurred but when unchecked 'start bridge at startup' and restarted the machine the tools menu once again had photoshop available. All by magic apparently.
Any idea why this magically disappearing then reappearing happens?
    Thanks.

  • Creative Cloud, photoshop not available to install.

I have purchased a creative cloud monthly sub and commenced the download, however the main photoshop app is not available to install, just tutorials ect. How do I access the main app?

Packydwyer please see Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html for information on how to download and use the applications included with your Creative Cloud membership.

  • Is Photoshop only available as a "creative cloud" product now?

Sorry, I am a newbie. I had thought that you could still purchase Photoshop as a discrete downloaded software application. Is that no longer the case? I can't see where on the site one would do that. Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Photoshop CC (the current version) is only available via subscription as a Creative Cloud product.
Photoshop CS6 (the version before CC and the last perpetually licensed version) is still available for purchase from Adobe

  • Is Photoshop CS6 available for monthly installments? [was: Photoshop]

Was curious if Photoshop CS6 was available for monthly installments

Not sure what you mean by installments, but it is avaialbe as part of the cloud in a monthly subscription plan. Please note, that if you want the physical CD's, CS6 is the last version to do so. To my knowledge that is only a single payment only. Though some retailers may offer multiple payments via a credit card if you checked on them. (guessing)

  • Are these functions of the normal Photoshop also available in Photoshop Elements 12?

    Hi,
maybe I wanna buy Photoshop Elements 12, but before that I'd like to know, if some important functions ans tools of the normal expensive Photoshop, are also available in Elements:
    - Content-aware filling
    - Refine edge tool (after Crop)
    - Liquify Tool
    Thanks a lot!

    Photoshop elements 12 has
    Content Aware Fill
only after one does a panorama
    (fill edges)
Does not have content aware fill like photoshop does from the fill dialog
    Refine Edge
Pretty much the same as in photoshop
    Liquify
Has a Liquify filter, but not as many features as photoshop's liquify does
You can get a subscription to photoshop cc for 9.99 a month

  • Camera 8.3 for Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6 available now : NOT TRUE!

Where is the link for update ?! (Photoshop CS6, win 7)

You are supposed to use the Updates item from the Help menu. There is no official link.
However, you can usually download one of the packages from a link here: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2011/03/keeping-photoshop-up-to-date.html#notconnected but make sure you get the right one.

  • Is PhotoShop Elements available as part of the Creative Cloud subscription?

I currently have a Creative Cloud for teams monthly subscription, but I'd like to get Photoshop Elements.  Do I need to purchase that separately, or am I able to download it as part of my subscription?

    Hi,
Photoshop Elements is not a part of the Creative cloud and needs to purchased separately.

  • Memory upgrade is not available for my iMac (2009 Fall edition). Where else can I purchase this?!

Apparently, Apple does not have the memory upgrades for my older iMac available. Does anyone know where else I can acquire this? with all the new OS upgrades, my beloved machine is starting to get really slow.

If there is a micro center store in your area, they carry crucil memory for the mac  , BUT make sure you get or order the correct memory  (crucial will have the specs or check your about this mac will also tally what memory you have now)

Liquify Smart Object support was added in a update/dot release to CS6. I don't remember which one. Also we are currently investigating a possible bug where Liquify Smart Objects from older Photoshop psd files may not be recognized correctly in the latest version of Photoshop.
Can you find out for sure on which version?  Seems strange, that CS6, no matter where it came from, wouldn't be sync'ed as far as version. I understand features coming out for PHotoshop CC, that would go forward and not be in CS6, but it seems that CS6 should be CS6 and be sync'd for features and version numbers no matter where you got it from.
If you got CS6 from CC....and you quit CC....does that version of CS6 quit functioning or does it work still going forward if you stop paying the CC monthly rent?
    Thanks in advance,
    C
