Photoshop images from negs/slides sent via email

this could also be a mac problem? I scanned b/w negs and also colour slides and made adjustments to the pictures in photoshop. All  looks just fine. But when emailing the finished files as tiffs , the email receiver  then tried to saved from the mail either to photoshop, bridge, or desktop. The slides came through as corrupt files and the images were  pixelated somewhat. I tried different methods of saving from the email but the same results. The sender tried to send fresh scans and check them in her sent mail and again they were pixelated on her machine. the same result happened when scanning from my scanner to my machine from another  network computer in the house.
We scanned the images and went to image size immediately without touching anything else and changed the width, heigth, and left the 200 ppi and they looked great. We then made our adjustments and they looked great  and they printed great also. Only when we attempted emailing did the images degrade. What could the problem be?

thought that I would send you the tifs to see for your self . check on the one from friend;s computer(mac) and scanner is ragged on edges of bowls. the one from my scanner connected to my PC , same network, has that positive/neg thing going on. when my friend checked her sent mail after sending, the pics were degraded there also. Maybe it has nothing to do with the scanned film, but on my mac I do have problems with scanning clean text files also. sorry woulldn't accept the images.Sending a screen shot. Try the other one. Says the image is too large. forgot how to do a selection screen shot. Note the egg is also ragged but not in the ps file we did before sending.

  • Images sent via email are not attachments

I upgraded to Lion and now, jpeg images sent via email are not attachments but are rather images embedded in the message. I want my attachments back!! Those I send images to are saying they can not save the files as there are no attachments. How do I fix this? Everything was fine with Snow Leopard and running a photography business has me sending images a lot. Clients used to "save" the images or "select all" because they were attachment files. Now they can only see the imbedded image that is not a file.
Also, I used to send jpeg images to my Windows 7 Phone to build my portfolio when I had Snow Leopard and now with Lion I do not have files sent to my phone but the image itself which I can't save to my phone.
    HELP!

Does the Control+Click work with PC's? My clients use PC's and they cant download the embedded images. One client specifically is a webmaster for a sports club I photograph at every sporting event. At the end of each event I may have 40 + photos downsized and sent to him to post on his site so each email will have 7 - 10 images.
With Snow Leopard, the images would be attached files but also imbedded images on my end. On his end, they're attached files he could just select all and save then put on the site. Now he and other PC clients are saying he can only save one image at a time. This is a lot of work and seems a bit backwards to me.
When sending to my Windows 7 Phone, the image is not embedded but shows up as an attached file which my phone then gives me the option to "save to phone". Now it's an embedded image with no options to save to phone.
I will have a look at the Attachments Tamer but it seems crazy to have to buy an app for something that seems simple to fix on Apple's end.

  • How do i get photos sent via email into the new photos app in yosemite 10.10.3

Using mail on my mac, having upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3 i now cant import photos sent via email into the new photos app. if i highlight the photo in mail and right click the mouse the option is still to export to iPhoto !!

I was clicking on the photo, so thanks for telling me about the save icon - unfortunately this still tries to open up and save to iPhoto the same as clicking on the image but my photos have been moved from iPhoto to the new photos app as part of the update to 10.10.3 Yosemite. Although it also gives me the option to save other places i cant work out how to save into the photo app

My friend sends me photos from his iPad 2 via email. However, when they arrive in my inbox on my iPad 2, the photos do not show up. I receive 20-some characters. Please advise as to the problem.

Try sending them via the Messages app as opposed to E-mail.
E-mail shouldn't normally be a problem, but Messages will do as a soloution.
    To do so:
    . You need iOS 5
    1. Go to your Photo Gallery
    2. Open up the album/ images you want to send
    3. Press the share button (top right hand corner)
    4. Select 'Send as Message' (not e- mail)
    5. Select your friends Apple ID from your address book for his iPad
    6. Voila!
    - it's something along those lines...... my iPad is downstairs atm, but the actual way of doing it will be similar...... !

  • No Payment document attachement (PDF) sent via email

    Hi,
We have been running the auto-email with PDF payment attachement via F110 for quite some times. Recently my user feedback that some of the vendors receive the email sent by SAP system, however, no attachement being sent to them.
I have checked the F110 log, which the requested email is generated successfully. However, i couldn't check whether there is email attachement being to them via SOST.
We are in ECC6. The reported cases are perhaps 5% of the batch payment document running affected with no pdf file attachement sent via email.
I have been searching around any similar case and how we trace the problem. Can someone share on it?
Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi
Ask to these vendor what kind of software they have to avoid SPAM, or if they manage black lists, 'grey' list. There are other software tools managing these messages. Sometimes these tools remove the attachments.
    I hope this helps you

Cannot open PDF files sent via email. The open via Word in encripted jinerish. This has not happend until now.

I had the same problem.  My version of RoboHelp is pretty old (x5) and the problem was with pdfs made up in version 9.  Some pdfs would open and some would not.  It depended on the version used to make the pdf.  Got error messages and corrupted file messages.
I solved the problem by using the full version of Acrobat and using the pdf Optimizer to make compatible with version 5( just to make sure).
Another option is to "print" to the pdf printer when the file is open.
Both then can be imported into RoboHelp without a problem
Hope this helps.  It ruined many days at work for me while I tried to figure out what on earth I was going to do.

  • Field length shows more in excel sheet which is sent via email

I am sending excel sheet through email. I have data in internal table which i move to the email internal table and data is been sent via email using a excel sheet.
Now, when I open the excel sheet, i see that all fields get displayed but the last field is shown as too much length meaning field length is 15 chars but in excel sheet it shows as almost 40 - 50 chars.

Decalre one more field in your internal table ,which should be last field.
and do not pass header for this field and just pass the empty value to this field.
if not use this FM : EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT

  • Is there a way to send output from a Concurrent Request via email in r12?

We are looking for a way to send emails out from the Concurrent Request output in r12.
Discussions internally have involved using Unix procedures/commands but we were looking for an EBS integrated solution if one is available.
I did find document 811716.1which seems to provide a solution, but the patches and information given are for 11i (we are r12). If this functionality is available in r12, is there any further documentation we can use?
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Can an album be sent via email from ver. 7.1.5?

I can send individual photos via email, but I have about 40 photos in an album, and rather than sending the photos individually, can I sent the entire album? Thanks.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Many email servers have a limit to the size of attachments that be sent, often 10 MB. So that's why trying Terence's method has a better change of getting thru.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
NOTE: this is not the same as routinely backing up your entire iPhoto library folder to protect your photos. It only protects the loss of your organizational efforts that the database file contains.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

  • Pdf file sent via email attachment gets a webloc extension

Someone sent an email with a pdf attachment to our entire school via our google mail account. People with PCs were able to open the pdf files. Mac users received the pdf files with a webloc extension (i.e. - filename.pdf.webloc) and were unable to open it. How did this happen and how can we prevent it from happening again? I had 2 of the pdf files on my mac (one of which I created) and they did not have a webloc extension. Any help would be great. Thank you!!

    Hi Kappy.
I tried that and received a message from Adobe Acrobat that read "Adobe Reader could not open 'Absentee Ballot.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Since we have 300+ families who receive these emails and I don't know who has a mac and who doesn't I would rather be able to send the pdf attachments and prevent the webloc from being applied at all versus letting everyone know how to remove it once they receive it.
    Thanks for replying.

  • After IOS 7 Photos can no longer be sent via email

After updating to IOS 7 applications such as the photo store, or applications using email to send logs, no longer function.  In the example of sending a photo via email.  After choosing the photo and selecting next, the phone pulls up the email configuration screen as though nothing for email has been set up on the phone.  Exchange activesync settings are being deployed via an mdm profile, and do function to deliver email and .  I have discovered that if a profile is deployed from iPhone configurator the same results happen.  If I enter the email settings for active sync by hand photos create an email and send normally, as do other application accessing email to send information.  Anyone else seeing this behavior?

  • Background image from one slide appearing in all slides after and I can't remove it

    Hello,
I'm modifying a course created with Captivate 5, in Captivate 7 and for some reason the background image from slide 35 is appearing in all slides after that one and I can't remove it. The most interesting thing is that when you look at the slides in the film strip they look different (like the original) than the one on the work area which contains the background image I'm trying to remove (screenshot below).
    Any ideas or comments?
    Thank you.

    Hi Lilybiri,
Thank you for your prompt response. That was it!!!! You are awesome! I tried so many things and I don't know how that setting changed to "rest of project". Great thing to check next time.
    I greatly appreciate your help.
    Have a great day.

  • Create a DVD (Movie) From a Video Received via Email (???)

Someone is sending me a video of a family event via email; not yet sure what format it will be (.mov or whatever) and it's coming via a Windows computer. Assuming that the movie will play when the email arrives, how can I burn the movie to a DVD so I can play it back on a TV later on?
I suppose I'd drag it to my desktop, but from there I'm not at all sure how to burn it to a DVD so it will play as a movie on my TV's DVD player.
What app(s) do I use (?), and can someone provide some "See Spot run" instructions, as DVD burning is not my forte'.
    Thanks in advance!

+Why burn with Titanium (which I don't have) if I can burn with either iMovie or iDVD (depending on if I want to snazz it up)?+
Well, Toast has a few other things included which may come in handy and I've just gotten used to using it, but there is no need for it, especially for basic burning. So, yes, you can use iMovie or iDVD.
+As an alternative, can I go to iDVD>File>OneStep DVD From Movie (which I would have dragged to the desktop from the email)and do it that way?+
One-Step DVD is to transfer video directly from a camcorder to burn to a DVD (check iDVD help). I've never used that feature because I tend to do a lot of "snazzing" including customizing the themes, creating intros with several layers of video and live fonts, etc. But there is another possibility: Magic iDVD: "lets you create professional quality DVD with minimal effort" - again, check iDVD help; there are step by step instructions. I haven't used that feature either.
You might want to consider checking out the appropriate forums for both iMovie and iDVD for tips and/or questions - some very knowledgeable people hang out there. You'll find that with a little effort, you can create some really cool movies. And remember that both iMovie and iDVD only accept certain formats, so if you get an error or it won't let you drag it, run it through MPEG Streamclip first.
Edit: As an afterthought, I'm wondering if you will actually be able to get that movie via email - most ISP's impose limits on file size.
