Photoshop install Failing

I'm trying to reinstall photoshop, I've installed all the other apps i needed but Photoshop keeps failing. It gets to about 42%, then says Extracting, then goes back and show 43% and fails. No error is shown or nothing. I've taken a screen shot of what happens. any suggestions would be great, photoshop is the main app i need.

actually thats part of the problem. that more information link does nothing. nothing comes up no matter how many times i click it. nor if i wait a long time.
Ive done the whole restart thing and it just keeps getting to 42% and failing.
as a new note I tried to install dreamweaver and im geting the same error and timeout time.

windows 7 64 bit
16gb mem
intel i7 3.50ghz

Photoshop Cs6 Install fail

I have downloaded Photoshop cs6 and recieved my serial from adobe this morning , the download completes but when i try to install in Frensh language mode , but the install fails and a message sais (in Frensh) : Echec de l'installation

Please what is the problem , i have deleted every single version of photoshop and also cleaned with Adobe creative suite cleaner Tool , i have done it all , please help me , please

J'ai cherché le net et finallement j'ai trouvé la solution ,
si tu utilise windows , aller à : C:\Program Files\Fichiers communs\Adobe
Chercher le dossier caps et le renommer à : caps.old
C'est finalement installé !!

Another problem here. Everything was working until I started updating. Plus now certain features are not available in PSCC. For instance the "save image for web" is disabled. Additionally, PS will not open an .png file. Here we go again. I am still trying to solve an open issue with DW crashing. What is going on back a Adobe. Come on Adobe people, please quit guessing and wasting our time with answers that take hours to complete and don't work. Please reply with a real answer.
I just can't believe you suggest uninstalling, run cleaner tool and reinstall everything. That's a day or two of work lost. Besides, many people did just that with no resolution. It makes me thing that the people a Adobe don't know the answer - so just through out a generic answer.
Please forward me an email to forwarg error logs.... Time is a wasting....

For this error I would recommend removing and reinstalling Photoshop CC. It appears your current installation have become compromised. There are several additional instances of this error within the log file you have posted.
If you find that after reinstalling you experience similar errors in the future then please review any system optimizer/utility software which may be affecting the installations of your Adobe software.
I also see additional information that the language files have been removed from your installation. This is based off information in the log such as the following:

This would also seem to support that a system optimization utility may have been utilized to remove the additional language files. Previously the removal of these language files alone would prevent updates from being applied.

Getting same error as other but on different application, this is from Photoshop install. I have tried deleting all fonts etc suggested in other posts but with no change?

I eventually deleted the whole Photoshop App and anything else I could find - now it looks like they installing correctly.

I'm no installer expert, but several of the things it shows seem to indicate that you should do a full removal (including possibly a run of the Adobe CS cleaner script), then re-download the Photoshop installer and install again.

Illustrator cs6/ Indesign CS6/ Photoshop cs6 updates install failed

I used Application Manager Enterprise 3.1 to created one Adobe CS6 package. and the check for update has been disabled.
the created cs6 package was installed in computer. Recently I got newer version updats of Ilustrator 16.0.3, Indesign 8.0.2, Photoshop 13.0.1.3.
I want to insatll these updates, so I removed the file "AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat" from "C:\Program files\common files\adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0". the update function is enabled.
when I run the exe file of these updates, it show below error message. the error in english is: Update install failed. Cannot apply this update patch, please use help menu to check the latest updates.
But according to the cutomer's requirement, should not use the help menu to install the updates. I have to find a solution to make the updates install successfully.
Any guys have solution or suggestion on this issue? Thanks!

I am trying to install a trial version of PS CS5 and everything installs perfectly, but once I reach the end it says Photoshop failed to install. I am installing English. I currently have Photoshop CS4 and that installed perfectly. I'm running on Vista Home Premium.

Re-installing Photoshop CS2 fails

Because of some quirky behavior when launching Photoshop CS2, I decided to re-install the application from the installation CD. I tried several times. Each time, when the installation is almost complete, a pop-up window informs me that: "Install Failed. The following install step failed: run postflight script for Adobe Photoshop SC2. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." I wrote to Adobe Customer Service. Their response was: "Please note, Creative suite 2 have been discontinued after the release of Creative Suite 3. Therefore, you will not receive any technical support via phone for this product. You can, however, post questions and comments regarding tryout software on the User-to-User Forums on the Adobe Web site." I would appreciate any insight as to why I cannot re-install CS2. My system details: Aluminum & Glass iMac, Intel Core 2 Duo, MacOSX 10.5.8, 320GB Maxtor HD, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM, read/write CD & DVD, FireWire 400 & 800. Available HD space: about 190GB. But, as has been said, per Adobe, Mac OS X v10.5.x and CS2 have compatibility problems that will not be resolved by any further updates. Your best bet is upgrading to CS4 while there is still a price advantage in place.

Why did my install of an older version of Photoshop Elements fail?

I tried to install a 2001 version of Photoshop Elements, but it failed to install stating that "Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later is Required." I have Windows 7, so therefore I should have at least Internet Explorer 9. Also when I tried to install it on my MAC it also failed stating that "Install failed because Classic Mode is no longer supported." So why can't I install this program on my MAC or Windows 7?
I just bought this off eBay hoping to score a deal on an older program to use and get familiar with before installing a newer version and finding out I didn't like it or it wouldn't meet my needs. Any help in this manner is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
First off, you must be referring to a very old version of Photoshop Elements, not even sure it is version 1. Learning that will not help you very much when you try to go for the latest version - it will be like starting again.
The old version did not know anything of the later versions of Internet Explorer and the installer gets confused. You can trick it by doing some registry edits (see following document) but I strongly advise against it unless you are very competent with computers. Get things wrong and you could kill your system.
Photoshop Elements (PSE) knowledge base.
In addition to the level of Internet Explorer, you will run into problems if you have large disk drives.
I'm not a MAC expert but the older versions of Photoshop Elements were designed to run on PowerPC-based computers and will not run on systems later than MAC OS 10.6.x.
If you are serious about getting to know Photoshop Elements, the best thing is to get the latest trial version. Download that and install it and you can try it for 30 days. If you decide you like it, then you could look out for bargains at your local store or online.

Absolutely - but I had no idea there were two versions. When I got my new laptop I just went to the Adobe site to download and install LR5. It never asked if I had a license; it just directed me to install CC to start a trial which I thought I could license after downloading. Several sessions and many hours of looking through the forums and Google for an answer I never ran across anything that made this distinction. I still haven't found a path from www.adobe.com that would get me to the standalone download page (it's probably there, wasn't obvious to me) and looking at the download page it doesn't make any CC/standalone distinction.
There are many places I could have gotten a hint - for instance the license could be tagged "stand alone edition", the CC-version could recognize the stand-alone key and either accept it or produce a more meaningful error message, or the download site or the CC app could ask if I had previously purchased a key, etc.
It was my error to assume this was a deactivation problem, but it looked the same as a previous deactivation problem with Photoshop.
In any event, thank you for your help.
