Photoshop Installation Failed message

I've tried installing Adobe Photoshop CS6 twice from the Application Manager and constantly receives: "Installation Failed" Unable to extract files.  Press Retry to download again or contact suctomer support (EX20).  I'm using a PC 32bit computer.  Can someone please tell me what may be wrong?
Thanks!

Problem resolved for Photoshop CS6!  I downloaded the file directly from website instead of my desktop Applications Manager.  However, it did ask me how I wanted to open the file and I indicated the Applications Manager.  Photoshop CS6 is now up and running!

I keep getting an installation fail message. I REALLY need to edit and I just got this computer and for some reason it wont download.

    Hi Sarah,
    What OS you are running?
Are you getting any specific error message while installing.
You can collect the install log for further isolation.

  • "The installation failed" message

Every time I try to install my lightroom 2, from my disc, on my mac it gives me "The installation failed" message. So how can I go around this? Where can I go to get it installled?

It probably won't work at all. LR 2 contains PPC code which Apple long has stopped supporting in newer versions of OSX. Unless you really mean an old Mac ca. 2003 with OSX 10.4 or before, I see no way of ever getting this to work. Seriously consider buying LR 4 then.

  • I am receiving an installation failed message

I just purchased adobe creative cloud, and when I try to install certain apps they came up with an "installation failed" message.
When I click the learn more, it prompts me to another window.  If I click, windows photo viewer can not open the file type. I'm sure there is a simple solution, please help.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system information and installation logs. And well, if the files even attempt to open in Photo Viewer, you have other problems than your CC install to boot...

  • Purchased Creative Cloud, deployed it, clicked "Install.pkg" and received "The Installation Failed" message.  What now?

Purchased Creative Cloud, deployed it, clicked "Install.pkg" and received "The Installation Failed" message.
I am installing on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8.
    What now?

This is how we resolved it. Used a 32GB Flash Drive formatted the drive HFS+ and then copied the PKG folder and files and then brought them to the target Mac and copied the files over and ran the PKG and Exceptions install. Everything seems to be installing fine now.

  • On installing Photoshop CC, I received an Installation Failed message (see below). What do I do now?

After downloading and installing Photoshop CC for the first time on a 64-bit Windows 7.1 PC with 8GB of RAM, I received the message: "Installation Failed.Installation completed though some optional components failed to install correctly (6)."  What do I do now?  Photoshop 6 and Lightroom 5 are previously installed on this PC and I have been a PS user since PS7.

Bonsinger the next step would be to review your installation log files for the exact errors which you received.  Please see Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html for information on how to locate and interpret your installation log files.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • Photoshop Installation failed

    Hi,
I'm trying to download Photoshop Creative Cloud but it keeps giving me the following message:
    Installation failed
The download appears to be damaged. Select cancel, wait a few minutes and try again
I've been trying for a few days but the result is always the same.
    greetings

    Hi Leonte54,
As a workaround you could download a trial of Photoshop and convert it to be part of the Creative Cloud subscription with the process described here:

  • Photoshop Installer failed to initialize. Help?

Hello adobe! When trying to download a trail of photoshop the installer resulted in the following issue:
    Installation Failed
         Your installation encountered errors.
Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file.
    More troubleshooting tips:
    1.Restart your computer
    2. Exit all applications including startup items, virus checking and firewall software.
    3. Launch the installer and reinstall your applications.
I looked into this issue for probably around 5 hours now and attempted everything possible (or at least any solution I could find). The attempts tried and failed go as follows:
    - Disabling all startup processes in msconfig
    - Disabling antivirus temporarily
    - Using the CCcleaner to produce a log and delete files
    - Downloading multiple products from adobe (none working and same error)
         These programs include premeire
    - Trying to use the installer on multiple drives (I have 3 total)
    - Multiple accounts and directories
         My PC's specs:
    -Intel core i7 4770k 3.5GHz
    -(ASUS) Nvidia Geforce GTX 760
    -8 GB RAM
-Samsung SSD and two other HDDs
My guess as to the cause for the problem is that I have moved my users and program files directories to one of my HDDs.

I had a similar problem with installation of CS6 Extended.
I searched all through the forums and the internet, could not find an answer to this issue. On another forum, someone suggested this option for a differnt issue. I tried it for mine and it worked.
Download a newer version of Adobe Application Manager (https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773)
Installed the application manager and than install your softwre. CS6 Extended loaded right up.

  • Installer fails: message invalid drive

    Hi Everybody,
I have a strange behaviour during XE installation. On one PC (Win2000 SVP4) which has an unformatted partition and no drive D: the installer fails with the message: Invalid drive D: When assigning the CDROM drive to drive D: the installation works.
Has somebody run into the same problem or any ideas?

    Hi Konstantin,
the problem is that we have to install XE on many different PC's, which all have individual setups and configurations. Not speeking of different OS and different language versions. But as Oracle claims to be compatible to alomst anything we are doing it.
So we run into one problem after the other as you can see.

  • Please Help. Photoshop installation failed half way through

Initially I had downloaded the photoshop CC2014 trial once, I paid I wanted the CC version because I need the oil paint function which was taken out on the CC2014 version, so what I did is uninstall the CC2014 which was installed and working and proceeded to install the CC version but midway through installation it kept failing and telling me to restart my computer, I have done that at least half a dozen times, plus I've also tried the following:
    > I uninstalled every adobe app I had including CC
    > I have used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool app
    > Have restarted my computer so many times I lost count and I still get the same error, half way through the installation process
    > And now the same thing is happening when I try to reinstall illustrator, this is a nightmare!
BTW I'm not running any other software while doing this and have turned off the fire walls
I'm on an Imac OS X version 10.9.5
Please help I've spent so manny hours trying to solve this, it's driving me crazy and need to complete some work in photoshop I have deadline.
