Photoshop installed, can't open, says wrong type of mac

Hi there, can someone please tell me what to do: I have installed the test version of Adobe photoshop 6 onto my mac, which is a Macbook OS X version 10.6.8, and I get an error window saying that I can't open this program with this kind of mac?! What do I do?

Well, yes...but you'll need to modify your DNG Converter prefs to allow for that. You''ll need a recent (ideally current DNG Converter 6.4.1 or above) and click on the DNG Converter preferences and select the correct DNG Converter options. Check DNG Converter 6.4.1 (the current version) and click on "Change Preferences" to be sure select Camera Raw 5.4 and later then make sure CS4 is updated to ACR 5.7 (which is the last version of ACR for CS4) However, the changes made to ACR 6.x really should be adopted since IQ for ACR 6.4.x is a lot better...

to to apple menu -> software update or system preference -> Software update
( you may try to use an old package on new system )

Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.
Solution 5: Try with admin account or right click and select run as admin. or try directly from .exe

Hi,
how can i open my iBook on my Mac, not just on my iPhone? I ask this questions in hopes that I can eventually find a way to have the iPhone read a non "Enhanced" iBook to me.
I used the Accessibility reader for a brief time but it's very persinickety. Move the phone a tiny bit and it threw me out from page 70 and back to page 48. Changing pages when you are in Accessibility is excruciating. Now, I cannot get back there at all.
I downloaded 2 apps that claim they can read to me but the closest I can get in the instructions says I need to open the iBook from my Mac computer with my iPhone connected and then I will be able to open the iBook in the app called "Read text to me". Only when I go to open the book on my Mac it says "This book can’t be viewed using this computer. You can view this book using iBooks on your iOS device."
Thank god, I only have a brain tumor and am not yet completely blind.
I've been to the Apple store twice, checked out a youtube page with all it's comments and I am still nowhere, over the course of a week.
Can anybody help me?

It requires you to have Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) installed, which can be obtained from the Apple Store.
You being on Mac OS X 10.4 makes it an old system, 10.6 and 10.7 require an Intel processor at least with Lion demanding an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor.

No. Reader will not damage files. It is only meant to read pdf files. PDF files are frequently damaged when sent as email due to encoding issues.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

You need Adobe camera raw version 8.7. Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

I'm using adobe creative cloud and photoshop cc.
When I run the Photoshop cc, it can't open and create new documents.
Open and make new documents Photoshop don't work so i terminate a photoshop cc use windows task manager.
I use windows7 ultimate k on lenovo x220t.
I uninstall the Photoshop cc and install again but symptoms refeat.
Please give me good opinion.

You have permissions issues with your user folder and the location where the PS swap files are stored. You need to fix that part...

I am running mavericks on a Imac early 2008.
But suddenly my documents were away out of my finder dock.
I founded my documents folder in user/(username)/documents.
The only problem is I can't open it. Its says I dont have the permissions for it.
Please help me I have importent conntent in my documents.

I was looking for the Permissions section which you have collapsed. Expand "Delen en bevoegdheden:" (Sharing & Permissions) and repost.
Anyway your Username should be in the list and be set to Read & Write. _spotlight set to Read only and everyone set to No Access.
If your username isn't in the list and or not set to Read & Write click the Lock icon, type in your Admin password, Add your Username to the list and or set the permissions to Read & Write for your Username.
