"Photoshop is busy with another task"

Since I upgraded to Mavericks, Bridge CS6 always displays "Photoshop is busy with another task - would you like to queue it".
Even though Photoshop is idle.
I reset the preferences, but this did not help.
What can I do now?

Here's what's strange. Yes, I deleted and rebuilt my Brige prefs. That did no good. That is, the queue message disappeared, but otherwise nothing happened. The images still would not all appear as layers within the same PSD. Instead, nothing happened, other than the PS application would switch into focus.
Then I thought that maybe the problem was that I was using jpegs, and all jpegs are set to open first in ACR. So I turned off that setting. Once again, nothing happened.
Last, I rebuilt Photoshop's Settings file upon launch. Still nothing.
Any more ideas?

Bridge think photoshop is busy with a task - CS6/Window 7

Bridge keeps telling me that photoshop is busy with a task and asks if a wish to queue the request. Photoshop is not busy. I can go to photoshop and open and close items, run batch process, ect. I even tried closing and opening Photoshop. Bridge still thinks photoshop is busy.
Any suggestions.

Just updated to Mavericks and running CS6. Thoughts anyone?

Can you specify the action you have selected that is causing the busy message?

In Project 2013, can I Split a Task with another Task?

If I have a task that after being initiated is delayed from further progress, I'd like to be able to create a new task for the delay, and then link the start of the delay task to the end of the first split and link the end of the delay to the front of the
second split.
Is this possible, or do I need to break the original task into two separate lines after a delay occurs (technically, I would likely also have to create a summary task to encompass both the task work and the delay work).
BTW, I want to create the delay as a separate task because I want to be able to track the different types of delays that happen.
For Example, If I had a task to test a part, but the test equipment breaks during the testing, I would like to track the time it takes to repair the equipment and have that time push out the expected completion of the testing. If on another testing
activity, a software glitch occurs, I want to track that delay as well. At the end of the day, I'd like to pull a report of the types of delays, the time they took, and how they pushed back the completion of the testing activities. I'd rather not
have to be creating a lot of extra lines in the project file whenever a delay occurs.

As an adjunct to Julie's suggestions, in order to get what you want you are going to have to add extra tasks to represent each delay activity, (e.g. equipment delay, software delay, critical part delay, etc.), unless you want to live dangerously (more on
that later).
I'll offer another idea for reporting. You mention that at the end of the day you would like to see a summary of all delay activities. Here's a thought. Use a text field or even a number field and enter a word/code for each type of delay. You can then filter
or group on those words/codes to see those specific delay tasks. If you use grouping, Project will create a group summary line that will sum up delay hours for you.
Now about living dangerously. If you don't want to add tasks to your main file each time a delay occurs, you could track those separately in another file. The least dangerous way is to manually enter the delay tasks in the separate file and adjust the split
re-start in the main file as Julie suggests. The more dangerous approach is to use external links between the two files. You may or may not need a separate linking milestone to use as the link point, depending on how it is set up. Why is this approach dangerous?
Because any linked structure in Project is prone to corruption.

JDBC - Connection is busy with hstmt

Dear Friends,
I have created a function with three Statements and three Resultsets, each resultset for each separate statement to execute a select query and have proper close methods too.
I am executing this function in JComboBox ItemListener. I am getting the error..."Connection is busy with another hstmt"...
I am using Java Swing with MS SQL Server...
I solved this error by proper closing of resultsets and statements. But i can't when i call this in itemlistener. can anyone help me pls....

Try:
Connection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE,ResultSet.CONCUR_READ_ONLY);
I had good luck with it to solve the same problem. I read somewhere that this is forcing the connection to create a new cursor etc...

Hi all,
I try to add a new employee in my SAP Business One system, but I get an error message like that : [Microsoft][SQL Native Client] Connection is busy with results for another command * (HEM5) (HEM5)
So I try to see if I get the same message when I update an employee, and I don't get this message.
Do you have an idea, why I get this error message when I add a new employee ?

Hello,
I am afraid there maybe two users / workstations using the same user code and one of them is creating (add) and other is update. Try to ask the users/wrokstations.
Another way out is try to run this query :
select * from HEM5

Mac OSX Yosemite crashes alot with random tasks in Photoshop CC2014

\Mac OSX Yosemite crashes all the time with random tasks in Photoshop CC. Now almost nothing works. Sometimes it stops working after doing random tasks like starting photoshop and i have to do a hard reset by putting the power off of my Mac pro retina (2014). After logging in again i got the message from Photoshop that graphics problem occurred sometimes a Problem report appears. I also cannot merge to HDR from lightroom to photoshop & also in Photoshop in the file menu > automate merge to HDR pro. It 8 of 10 times it stops working and I won't select one of the brackets. I have to force quit photoshop. I think these instability problems started after updating to Yosemite but become worser everyday. I also disabled the graphics driver, put it on basic and enabled/disabled open gl, sometimes photoshop disables it automaticly. My osx is up to date so I don't have to update my graphic driver because these updates or done within the OSX update panel.@

That doesn't help the user with the serial code though.
There has to be some kind of code somewhere within the package. The disk itself does not contain one. You can look here for help with finding your serial number:

PTGui Pro should appear in your 'Open With' list bottom section, at least it shows on my system (Mac)
Be aware that PTGui can only handle jpeg, tiff and PNG and it only handles Raw files using the DCraw converter (Open source originally developed for Linux).
Only applications that support the particular file type you select appear in the Open With list.
And on a Mac I can drag and drop jpeg and tiff from Bridge to the project assistant.

I have a macbook pro running 10.6 Snow Leapord, is there a way to split the screen like I could with my old windows computer? So I can watch or surf on one and another task on the other?

With the external screen connected and turned on, open the Displays pane in System Preferences. On the screen containing your menu bar, you should now see a Displays preference dialog box with an "Arrangement" tab in it. Click the Arrangement tab. Uncheck the box for "Mirror Displays," or make sure it is already unchecked. In the image within the preferences dialog box you should see two adjoining blue rectangles representing your two screens. A white bar on one representes the menu bar and indicates that that is the primary display. The larger rectangle represents your TV screen. If it's on the right side of the smaller rectangle representing your MBP's screen, then dragging a window off the right side of the built-in screen will move the window onto the TV.
Now open any application window — a web browser window, for example — and drag it by its title bar to move it off the edge of your built-in screen onto the TV screen. Got that? You can do the same thing with any other window, including a DVD Player or VLC window containing a movie that you want to watch.
Things to note: In this dual-display mode, which is called Extended Desktop mode, the menu bar and Dock will always appear on only one of the screens, and you can choose which one they appear on by dragging the white bar representing the menu bar from one rectangle to the other in the System Prefs > Displays > Arrangement tab. You can also set the resolutions of the two screens independently of each other. The highest available resolution on each screen will always provide the sharpest image.

Excise Invoice is captured with another Purchase Order

We have a scenrio, transfer the material from debond plant to mfg plant after imported material in kept in Bonding area. STO po is raised to from imported plant to mfg plant with Imported duties as delivery costs.
Bill of entry is provided for all the materials as one. While capturing the excise amount at line item level is difficult so, captured at first line item level as total because material is Same (Material is Split valuated materials with 3 batches). First GR is done properly but next GR for 2nd and 3 rd line items are refered with earlier Bill of entry, system promprts the error message "Excise Invoice is captured with another Purchase Order".
Please do the needful.

Please be informed that for one a GR document wrt PO only one excise invoice can exist.
Ex PO-4500000010
GR no 5000000010
only one excise can exist and if the same excise invoice is reffered to another GR with the same PO system will throw an error message. Please let me know the exact business requirement in detail.

Sorry to say this, but you must stop rewarding your own threads. A user registered today (10/25//2007) and posted many threads and always rewarded you as thread completed. I dodn't think it is a coincidence.
If every SDN member starts playing this dirty trick, then there is no meaning to use SDN. SDN is for the people who share their good project experiences by helping other members by answering the issue.
As I mentioned before, I should take up this issue with SAP officials if this happens again.
Not only you, some other members were also recently started practicing the same trick, which is not a good thing.

Running Function Module in Background with Update Task is not working

Hello Friends,
I have a "Z" Report Program where I am running this Report in Background using JOB_OPEN, JOB_SUBMIT, JOB_CLOSE. I am calling this in BADI.
In this Report I am calling another Function Module PRICES_POST which is a standard Function Module and in this FM there is another FM 'CKML_UPDATE_MATERIAL_PRICE IN UPDATE TASK'. Now when I am running the BADI these values are not being updated.
Friends I would like to know whether can we run Function Modules which are included with UPDATE TASK as Background Job program?
Kindly help me in providing your valuable suggestions in proceeding further.

Why do i have to wait 90 days to download music I bought with another apple ID?

My iphone 5 is now linked to a 'business' Apple ID. I would like to change that to a personal apple Id that i used to purchase many songs. I did change the apple ID but when I turned on 'automatic downloads' for music, a message appeared saying: 'This device is already associated with an apple ID. If you turn on auto-downloads, you cannot download past purchases with a different apple ID for 90 days'.
Why do i have to wait 90 days to use music i bought with another apple ID? Is there another way to do this so that I don't have to wait 90 days?

If you have purchases on your iPod Shuffle that you want to sync back to iTunes, but are under the Apple ID you no longer have access to, you'll need to reset that account information. You can use this link to reset your password.

If that doesn' work or help, you'll need to contact iTunes support and have them walk you through the process of resetting the older account information. Once you know the email and password again, you can authorize your new computer and transfer any purchases from this account back to iTunes.
For all non-iTunes purchased content, you'll need to the assistance of some sort of third party software that is not supported by Apple. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
