Photoshop is lagging really badly in my 13in Macbook Pro. Simple operations like selecting a tool, or just any click take up to 5min to complete. I looked in the force quit menu and it tells me that the program is not responding. I tried re-starting my laptop, even uninstalling the program. When I installed it again the problem got worse as when it loads the rainbow wheel shows up, not letting me do anything. Currently I'm on the trial version. Maybe the problem will fix itself if I buy a plan?

Verify your disk and Repair Permissions with disk utility.
Be sure you are updated to 2014.2.2
Then see if there are bad fonts or third party plugins.

hi, i had bought a mbp retina 15' 2 months ago. i have installed photoshop cs6 extended. but there was a lag while zooming, while moving the image when zoomed, when using brush, responce comes after 1-3 seconds the command has given. My iPod is lagging really bad, it takes about 15 seconds to load a song and sometimes just totaly freezes up. It was working fine yesterday but just all of a sudden today it started freezing up. I tried to restore it but now today my computer doesn't see it in iTunes. I went through all of the steps apple recomends but it didn't help.
Thanksit sounds like a hard drive issue to me.. you might be stuck sending it in.

How much free space on the startup disk?
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space. -
I just got to school after getting a new screen put on my 13in macbook pro. when i opend up my macbook there was only a apple simble and the loading sing with a bar at the botton it took fovere to load, one it loaded and opend up there was a few options to pic from saying i could get all my datata back, i got confused and called the tec support where they wanted me to spend 90$ to back up my data, i feel as if they fixed my screen my data should be there when i go on it. I am a broke colage studend and need to get my work done. To sum it all up How do i get all my data back that happend to get lost while my screen was being repaird at the apple store?
Apple has a 90 warranty warranty on all of their repairs. You should take your computer back to the repair shop. Or call Apple Customer Relations (800) 767-2775. Wait for a human to come on the line and ask politely and firmly that you want to be transferred over to the Customer Relations department. Tell them your issue.

Tina Hadley did you migrate/transfer your applications over to your new Macintosh? If so this could cause problems with your serial number being recognized. Please run the available uninstallers located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once this is done you will also want to run the CC Cleaner Tool. 13in MacBook Pro 2011 photo booth trouble??
I just got my brand new 13in MacBook Pro i7 last week and I seem to be having a big photo booth problem, I was seeing if anyone else is experiencing this issue as well. When you use one of the live background effects (ex: roller coaster, fishes, paris etc...) it asks you to step out of frame, when i do and the mac scans the background and completes, it does not bring none of the effect in and if it does, it's only like one tiny portion. I tried multiple backgrounds, lighting, rooms, etc...Anyone else having this issue or do u care to try on your new 2011 macbook pro for me please?
OMG SAME i'm in the exact same situation as you. i bought it a couple of days ago, and the same thing happens. the brightness also decreases for some weird reason. and i was so excited about that feature as well

I have a 13in macbook pro 2006. Playing videos using youtube or VLC(or the like) produces a very choppy effect. This start and stop condition just appeared. Anything I can do to remedy the condition or do I need to buy a new computer?

I've got Photoshop cs6 13.0.6. x64 and it has turned very slowly, perhaps after I installing Maverics, but now I've installed Yosemite version 10.10.1
The info of MacBook Pro:
- 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
- NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB
- Photoshop is using 79% of available Ram. Cache level 1, animated zoom disabled.
The Problem:
Photoshop doesn't react with my shortcut keys, like if I want to undo by typing cmd +z, nothing happens. I have to do it again, then it might work. Usually I have to point somewhere in the art board and then press cmd+z. The same thing with the other commands, like v, e, b etc. Then it's slowing a lot, even if I'm doing with a low resolution. Last time I was doing a pixel art in 50x50px sized art board and photoshop started lagging and showing "spinning color wheel". During that it was not responding to anything and It took approximately 2min. Then photoshop worked for a few minutes before it started spinning the same color wheel. Other programs do work fine during that. This same thing happens every time when I'm using photoshop.
Has anyone else the same problem? I've tried to look answers on forums but those weren't leading anywhere. I'm also using Illustrator cs6 and it's working really well, no lagging and recognises shortcut keys too. No problems with that.

Safari started lagging really bad
I have a 2013 Macbook Air with Mountain Lion and while it had been running flawlessly since the day I bought it, a few days ago it started lagging really, REALLY bad. I've been able to narrow down the problem and now I'm 99% positive Safari is the culprit here. Whenever I open a new tab (even with some light, text-mostly content) the "Web Content (Safari)" process starts to devour the memory like crazy, sometimes going above 100% and almost never going below 60%. Sometimes it goes down after a while but sometimes I have to close the tab completely to make it come back to normal. The pages with videos are even worse in that aspect, the whole system starts lagging as if I had a 8-year old machine on Vista.
I searched through the forums and found that for some, links misplaced in the reading list were the culprit but I don't see anything out of the ordinary videos and articles there. What else may I try?Hello Tigro!

Why does it look really bad quality when i plug my 13in macbook pro to my 42in samsung tv?
i bought this rocketfish hdmi cable to plug my 13in mac pro to my samsung plasma tv so i can watch netflix and youtube..and for some reason the picture quality is really bad. everyone says it looks great in theirs but why not mine? i put it at the highest resolution which is 1080i. Can i get any help??
it should be 1080p unless your's is only i
netflix and youtube need to have the best picture turned on for it to look good. Some are in 1080p but other only max out at 240p.
if you are in mirror mode, you are unable to change the screen size to the tv independently of the mbp.
What you should try to do is see if you have mirror mode turned on in system preferences> display>arrangement. -

Which 13in Macbook Pro to get?
So i'm a student who does do some occasional design work in illustrator and photoshop. I do listen to quite a bit of music and watch my fair share of streaming videos. I'm torn between getting the stock 13in 2.6Ghz macbook pro or upgrading the Processor, Ram, or both. I want my macbook to last for 4 years with this kind of usage.
Please any suggestions in helping me figure this out would be greatly appreciated!Unless you really need to splurge TODAY for tax reasons, I would wait a couple of weeks for the i5/i7 MacBook Pros. They will be dual-core, as well, but they should be considerably faster.
As for 4GB vs. 8GB: The difference should be more or less noticeable depending upon what you do - if you use huge virtual instruments like The Grand or Vienna Strings in parallel with a bunch of other plug-ins, 8GB will give you a lot more peace of mind.
HOWEVER: on the current machines, you need 4GB sticks to get to 8GB, and those are disproportionately expensive at the moment. I'd live with 4GB and upgrade in a year or so, when the prices have dropped enough to make it a no-brainer. -
Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC crash on my MacBook Pro 15" Retina (2013)
I have a Mac Pro 12-Core (Late 2013) and a MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2013). While there is no problem with the Adobe Creative Cloud products on the Mac Pro, I can't work with Photoshop and Illustrator on the MacBook Pro, cause it always tells me "undefined error" or that I wouldn't have the write-rights for the hard drive or file, even when there's no file opened. Illustrator crashes constantly while starting the program.
I tried to do a new installation by de-installing the programs including cloud desktop program with the Adobe de-installers. Didn't help at all. I tried to delete the programs including all hidden files manually, but it didn't work. After the new installation of the programs I still get the same error information. What else can I do? Other Non-Adobe programs like Final Cut, QuarkXpress aso work without problems and I really don't want to do a new setup on my Mac just because of the Adobe problem.
So, who can help me? What can I do to solve the problem?
