Photoshop jpegs work everywhere else but won't preview in Dreamweaver

Ok, I have a dreamweaver question, and I’m
hoping you can help me solve the trouble.
I am creating some images using photoshop. Building a site
locally and trying to see the images in dreamweaver.
They are standard RGB images, jpgs. When I pull them directly
into browsers, they all work great. For some crazy reason I
can’t get them to preview in dreamweaver. They show up as
broken links.
I have covered a few trouble shooting basics here, and still
haven’t figured it out.
1) the images are definitely RGB, and work in normal web
browsers, just not in dreamweaver.
2) In fact, when I preview the html in a browser via
dreamweaver the links seem to work. They are only broken in
dreamweaver itself.
3) I have pulled random jpegs off of the web, dropped them
into that same folder linked them up the same way and they work
fine. Only the jpegs I'm creating in photoshop seem to be causing
the trouble.
4) I have tried various options in the site management dialog
box including making links relative to the document or the site
root. Nothing changes.
5) I have exported the jpegs a number of different ways from
photoshop, via the normal “save” and also “save
for web”
6) When I save the jpegs as a gif instead, they work fine.
7) I have reset the root site several times, and rebooted
several times. No dice.

ITouch mail won't work on my home network, works everywhere else.

My 2nd generation itouch's email won't work on my home network. I get a message that says something like "Unable to connect to Pop3 server." It works on other people's home networks, public networks, etc. Just not mine. I'm guessing my router / modem has a setting somewhere that is the problem. Verizon won't help me because it's a device problem, not an internet problem (their opinion). I have read all of the posts on the forum about this mail issue, but since it works everywhere else, I don't think it's an itouch issue. It's a Verizon Westell modem. thanks for any help.

I have had the same problem and just solved it. My home wireless is with ATT and they told me they have been receiving a lot of problems with users suddenly unable to gain access to wi-fi in their home. When we checked my wireless home connection the I.P address on my ITouch was incorrect. The prior IP address was not correct and 'somehow' got corrupted...no one knows how that happened. My cust service rep was excellent and walked me through renaming my wireless hardware as well as changing my channel - and it worked. we changed the name of my wireless modem/router, then changed the channel...to a different number than it was. You are correct in that the problem is with home service. my rep actually took me to an ip address ---numbers not a www address where we made the changes- I hope this helped. If I can be of assistance please let me know.

Updated to Yosemite, no problem. now iPhoto and iMovie won't open. Says I need to update software however, when i try to update indicates my User ID and PW won't work for these two pieces of software. User ID and PW works everywhere else.

I am having the same problem. I even changed my password and updated all of my security information. Now it just gives me an error and retry message, which of course also does not work. Went to support and was going to open a chat (seemed the simpler option) and received a message that my support has expired for this serial number unless I want to pay $29.00. So I chose the option to call later, which was the exact time suck I was trying to avoid. Why wouldn't the new operating system also update the apps that were already part of my old platform?

Facetime and iMessage seem to be issues on Apple's end, so not much you can do but wait for them to fix it.

Are you trying to change the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account? If so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

If your external drive does not have an independent power supply, you may wish to consider a couple of lower-cost options before tossing the drive. Bus-powered drives have no external power source and must get all their power from the computer. They can exceed the computer's USB energy budget.
Cheapest option:
1 Meter USB 2.0 A to 5 Pin Mini B Cable - Auxiliary USB "Y" Power Design for external hard drives.
This gets power from two of the computers USB porst sna can provide enough power to wake up an under-performaing bus-powered drive.
If you don't have enough ports to use this, try the next cheapest option:
Newer Technology 7 Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with Power Adapter for Mac & PC
Such a hub has a an independent power supply to make up for wahat the comptuer fails to provide.

If you still have access to your old email address, do the following:
Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the pimary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was. You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so. You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

If it is in the wrong format it must probably still show up though, if your mac does detect it, go to disk utilities> choose the device from the left hand side > go to the "erase" tab and change format to "Mac OS extended (Journaled) then hit "erase".
IMPRTANT! : this will erase ALL of the files on your external hard drive
If this dosent work, make sure your external hard drive's USB port is compatibe with both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and also make sure your mac USB socket isnt damaged either.

How old are the various devices? It could be possible for you to have configured a very new AirPort Extreme in a way that older iPhones and iPads could not access. For example, could you have set up the Extreme to use only 801.11n and 5GHz?

What could be causing this? Poor cellular coverage in your home. Interference from appliances, etc.
Contact your carrier and see if they offer a Microcell. A microcell is a small Cellular antenna that connects to your broadband Internet connection and provides a cellular signal in areas of poor cellular coverage.
I know AT&T offers one. I got one 2 years ago when I bought my house to fix issues with poor to nonexistant coverage in my basement and garage. It cost me $150 and provides 4-5 dots of coverage through the whole house.

Migrated to new comp, now Air Won't Preview from Dreamweaver

I'm on a mac and have migrated over to a new computer. Air has decided it won't preview from dreamweaver.
I'm 99% sure this is due to a path issue /usrname vs /newusrname with dreamweaver exten finding the ADL or whatever the exten calls to preivew, but I'm not sure how to change it.
Any ideas?

Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

DG4ODBC MSSQL query works in sql, but won't compile in PL/SQL.

I'm using DG4ODBC from 11g to query a SQL Server database. The query I'm using works in a SQL DEveloper SQL worksheet and sqlplus, but won't compile in a PL/SQL procedure.

The gateway claims about this column "Address1_TimeZoneRuleVersionNu" which is not listed in your select list.
When a gateway connection is established it first checks out all columns of the table you want to select to determine the data types and then it fetches the data for the columns you want to select. But there's also an exception - when you use functions the gateway is not able to translate into the syntax of the foreign database. in this case ALL columns will be fetched into the Oracle database and the result is processed locally (post processing).
You're using replace function which won't be mapped to the foreign database equivalent using DG4ODBC so it will post process the result and fetch from all columns all the data into the Oracle database. Your table contains a column which exceeds the 30 character limitation of Oracle, hence the select will fail.
The only work around is to create a view on the foreign database side which reduces the column name length to 30 characters or less.

Safari won't work (bookmarks select but won't unselect)

My problem is that when I click on any bookmark in Safari, such as those in my Bookmarks Bar, the page stays blank/white, and the bookmark stays with a permanent grey oval around it, as thought it was selected, but won't unselect when you let go of the click. I can go through the menus and select any command, and can bring up the Downloads window for instance. So it is not completely unresponsive, but it won't actually browse the web. I can try to open a file, but when I get to the open dialog, it won't let me select anything. This happens in all users accounts, and was not corrected by resetting Safari, or by trashing the Safari cache, or trashing prefs, or repairing permissions, or even running single use mode to repair the directory. Firefox works fine, so it is not as network problem. Any ideas?

Since this happens to all user accounts, there are two paths you can try.
Path one - reapply the 10.4.8 combo update. "Repair permissions" using Disk Utility in your Utilities folder after the install/restart. I suggest not using the computer during the Install phase.
Sometimes the reinstall corrects system files which may be corrupted and affecting Safari.
If no go, then
Path two - Reinstall Safari. Have a look at this Apple article for installing other software, including Safari, from the Tiger DVD - see the section titled More custom reinstallation options with Mac OS X 10.4.
You'll need to move Safari.app in your applications folder to the trash. Also, in your HD>Library>Receipts folder, move the Safari.pkg file to the trash.
As a precaution, prior to reinstalling Safari, move your Safari Folder, found in your User Library to the Desktop. It has your bookmarks, history etc. Once the reinstall is completed, move the folder back to its original location writing over the newly created folder.
Remember too, the version of Safari you install will be specific to the Version on your installer DVD. Therefore, either run Software Update and see if Safari is updated. If not, you can reapply once again the 10.4.8 combined update. Repair permissions when you are finished.

Iphone doesn't work in my USB ports but everything else does, and iPhone works everywhere else!

My iPhone 3gs stopped working in the USB ports. Camera wizard doesn't even show up. Phone doesn't charge through it either, but if I plug my phone ANYWHERE else (computers and wall outlets) it works fine. When I plug keyboards and mice into my computer, they get recognized right away. My phone was working on my computer just about a week and a half ago, but just completely stopped. Can someone help me figure this out? I've read hundreds of threads from all over but can't seem to find the right answer. I'm going out of my mind here!!!

Did you do a restart, then if still not responiding then you need to do a restore through itunes.
